Opiniones de Caffé Sport San Francisco
Im going to be a little biased. This is kinda our spot. When I ask my daughters where do you want to eat. They always want the pesto gnocchi at cafe spot. They’ve had it elsewhere and swear it’s never as good. This place is legit and way beyond one good dish, you almost cant go wrong. This was my mom’s favorite spot and now my daughter’s favorite spot . I can’t count how many wonderful meals I’ve had here. Pay for parking across the street relax and enjoy. We love this place!
They fit us with 7 people in less than 5 minutes and rearranged the tables for us - the food is incredible! We got the fried seafood platter for a starter and they have a delicious bread and warm tomato sauce complimentary starter. Great service, drinks, and food!
Went there for early dinner. It was delicious! We’re greeted with fresh sliced bread and some kind of zesty tomato sauce, Parmesan and chili flakes. Also water before ordering. Had a glass of Merlot and one of the prosecco rose, the second one was very fresh. For dinner we had the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and the pizza (half pepperoni & half verdure). Pasta was nice and creamy and served with plenty of shrimp. The pizza was really tasty, very fresh pizza dough. Highly recommended, will be coming back soon.
We visited here for a lunch on a Saturday, we sat outside. The wife and I are from out of town. The food was delicious the atmosphere is unique inside and out. The service could have been a bit more welcoming and consistent. No smiles and bubbling personality. The bread and dip took a while to make it to our table however a few tables away came out shortly after the family was seated. The food was freshly made and came out hot. You can taste the ingredients. The flavors all blended well. Overall great food and value of the money. We enjoyed the meatballs as a side the chicken parmesan and the carne de fundi.
WOW!!! The most amazing Italian food in SF, we had to eat here twice. The servers and the owner are hardworking and make sure that you are enjoying your food. The first night, we ordered the bruschetta, pasta arrabbiata, and the owner was very nice to accommodate something that was off menu. The second night we ordered bruschetta AGAIN & Parmigiana Di Pollo. Wow! That’s all I can really say; the food was amazing. If you can’t tell, I would highly recommend dining here & obviously getting the bruschetta. I’ve been to Italy multiple times and this place really reminded me of little nonna restaurants in Italy.
Fantastic. Amazing quality without being a black tie affair. Franco took care of me at the bar and was excellent. Told me about food, told me about wine, small talk about the city, as I'm visiting for work. I had a lovely time and a great small-plate meal and finished with a nice port. Great place!
Wanted to eat at Tony’s pizza for dinner that’s around the corner, but there was a 1.5hr wait! We walked a little and found here with plenty of seating, ready to serve us some dinner. We ordered a pizza and a lasagna and we were not disappointed. The flavours were really great and we were served quickly which is a bonus especially after a long day of exploring and it’s dinner time. We did try Tony’s the next day, however we liked the food much better here. Well done, thank you for delicious food and service
Stumbled upon this spot while wandering around North Beach, and I’m so glad we did! As someone with a gluten allergy, I’m always a little cautious when dining out, but they had fantastic gluten-free options. I ordered the pesto with sausage and gluten free pasta, and it was so good I wanted to smack someone. The texture was perfect and the pesto was rich, fresh, and packed with flavor. It completely satisfied my craving for a good Italian meal. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was friendly and accommodating. If you’re looking for a delicious Italian meal in North Beach—especially if you need gluten-free options—this place is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back!
Super nice place and excellent food and service. The people there are super nice and they treatment it’s a five start. We were a party of 6 and decided to seat outside in the street in the cover areas. The area had a heated so it wasn’t cold. We were celebrating an engagement and everyone was very attentive and cheering. We definitely going back on our next trip to San Francisco. This restaurant it’s located in the famous Little Italy.
A slightly more Americanized take on classic Italian (e.g. Hawaiian pizza, grilled chicken add-on option for pastas). Portion sizes are big, taste is decent for the price point. Linguine alle Vongole, decent though the pasta felt from the box and a touch of butter diverged from the classic. A fun and colorful interior, conversations buzzing, with ample seating for large parties or a more romantic table for two. A landmark establishment in North Beach with an atmosphere authentic to decades past.
Cute homey restaurant. Went in at around 7:30 pm on a Friday night and had no problem getting a table
Really busy Saturday night in North Beach, but we were lucky to get a table here with practically no wait. The staff worked to get us seated promptly. They were really busy so I didn't expect the food to come out as fast. I did have to remind them of sending out our oysters after our pasta came out and we were already well into our meal. The free bread is nice touch along with the sauce it comes with. Oysters tasted briny and fresh. Pasta pescatore did not skimp on the shrimp. A solid meal overall. We were not rushed on our meal at all which sometimes happens at bustling spots like this one. Also, it was a fun and colorfully decorated space. There were lots of Christmas lights and tinsel up for the holidays.
Savory Sicilian food in San Francisco. The Pomodoro Bruschetta was delicious. I recommend it. For the main, I had the lasagna which was also good. Next time I am going to order a pizza - the one at a nearby table looked very appetizing. Elliott, our server was friendly, efficient and professional.
The meal was good but had some flaws. My fettuccine pasta was a bit hard and didn't seem to be hand made. Which doesn't justify the $30 price tag. The portions were good with a good ammount of seafood but without fresh made pasta, I would rather go some where else. The wine list for bottles doesn't seem too bad.
My husband and I remember going to cafe Sport over two decade ago. Sadly, it seems to have lost its luster. Kirkland signature pesto had more flavor. Meatball pasta was pretty mediocre. Garlic bread wasn't great either. Maybe we were there on an off night, but there was nothing special about the service. I think that tourists would probably still like this place in general. The eclectic decor makes for a fun atmosphere.
They've really gone downhill. I use to love them, but this is just disgusting. I received a cold pizza. So cold that the cheese is dried. There's no bubbling or boiling. It just looks like some old shellacked left out pizza. And I got the wrong order for my Appetizer. I asked for the Crudo and prosciutto, I got that weird looking cheese dish instead. I ordered via Uber Eats. I even paid extra for priority delivery, only to get cold food that's been left out for delivered to my door. I can't eat this. And I'm starving. Think twice Before ordering from this restaurant
