Preguntas frecuentes sobre Elephant Sushi
Opiniones de Elephant Sushi San Francisco
I’ve never had sushi this fresh before. The salmon and tuna just melted and glided over my tongue. I even had to look twice to make sure the fish was really dead — that’s how fresh it was! (Just a little joke.) I eat sushi often, but I’ve never had it this fresh anywhere else. Compliments to the restaurant — and the service was truly appreciated as well!
Went for a work dinner so got to try a big portion of the menu. We ordered exclusively sushi, and it was all really really delicious and fresh. Hard to say what is shown in these pics because I didn't order it, but honestly I feel like you can't go wrong if you order sushi that optimizes for quality fish. The one everyone remembers is the flaming sea bass roll! It's so cool, they bring it out to you on a tray of oil that they light on fire to cook it. It's sooo good. Get it if you can! Will definitely return if I'm back in SF soon.
Very delicious meal. The miso soup was amazing. Each roll seems very intriguing and interesting. I got the White Dragon roll and it was really good. It doesn't seem like a lot of food, but honestly 1 roll was more than enough. Service was super fast too. Nice for a quick bite.
Visited from GA for the first time ever spending a day in San Francisco before driving down the coast. Stopped here for sushi based of the previous reviews, and OH BOY were we not disappointed. The place is small, but you are guaranteed excellent service. Fast, courteous and helpful. We got the Rei Ginjo sake ( SO GOOD), best Miso soup I've ever had, "Couple of babes" to start and then the Chef Ochko roll, Ya Man, and the Flaming Seabass roll. Each one was better than the first. Seriously, go here. Don't bother trying somewhere else. You will absolutely NOT regret it.
Came here for dinner. Put ourselves on the Yelp waitlist while we had a drink at Habibi Bar down the street, which was super convenient. Rolls are great! We had the negitoro (each piece has some uni on it, super worth it); white dragon; ya man; chef ochko; and naked scallop rolls. Everything was fresh and delicious and came out fast. Servers and host were all extremely kind and friendly, and clearly working hard since the place was packed. Definitely use Yelp waitlist or call ahead for a reservation because it does get busy. We were there Friday night.
I really thought this place was going to be overrated since I had heard it's hard to get in on a weekend night. We came in on a Wednesday early evening (just past 6pm) to avoid the crowds and a long wait and were so pleasantly surprised by the delicious and inventive food, attentive service and cute and cozy atmosphere. Can't wait to be back!
Wow! Friendly staff and awesome sushi! Staff even gave us some free tastings. Rolls were fresh and great quality. Couldn't recommend more
I almost never write reviews but this was such a great place. Located on the top of Russian/Nob Hill, with cable cars passing by. The staff is super friendly, if you’re there early, there is no need to make a reservation. We had a minor issue with our food but they were so nice about it and overcompensated with extra Sashimi and and an additional Maki roll. Very good Sushi and Sashimi. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Live right around the corner and always walked past this place without eating here. Sushi was very fresh and made right in front of us and each roll was absolutely delicious. Must try!
Price $$ Taste - ***** Best sushi restaurant in SF. I came here little late dinner around 8pm but I should wait for 1 hour( but worth it) Inside was small. Tables are small and too close to other tables. Sashimi omakase - it was really really great. There were 6 kinds and 18 pieces of sashimi. They were all fresh and delicious. Even the simple sauce went well with Sashimi. Toro sashimi - PLEASE EAT IT. It was best toro I have ever eaten. Soft fatty tuna was perfect. Spicy hamachi - it was simple roll but still good. Flaming seabass - it was fancy firing roll. It was also okay. Sauce was tasty and hot rice with baked sea bass was good. Better than spicy hamachi.
Sitting at the bar was great, the sushi was crafted in front of us and the chefs were very thoughtful. The food was amazing.
Some of the best sushi I've had. The atmosphere was great and the service took care of us. One, I never imagined heirloom tomatoes would be good in sushi. I also didn't know how much I needed a flaming pan of cooked sushi in my life. If you go you much try the Flaming Seabass.

Atmosphere welcomes you in and seats you in an oceanside restaurants in theroy, as you have the freshest seafood that lands on your plate... beautiful creativity on every plate as the freshes of nigiri and sashimi are coveted as they passed the table.

Best sushi I’ve had in my life. Fish is like butter, fresh and delicious. Overall 10/10, so happy to have found this place.
Great service and solid rolls. Highly recommend the Negi Tori, White Out and Ya Man rolls. The spicy salmon and naked scallops were not as good. We also received Hamachi Nigiri on the house which was so nice! This ended up being our group’s favourite dish from the night. One thing to note is that the rolls are not as flavoured on their own and require some soy sauce to taste better.
Great sushi in a tiny little restaurant! Food was delicious, but the kitchen and service staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. We waited for a table that had been cleared for at least 10 minutes. Despite this everything else was great and well worth it!
My hubby and I came here for dinner before a symphony performance. The cocktails were on point, the sushi was pretty good, but the service was really slow. It took a long time for the hostess to show up to the front and check is in for our reservation and everything else took a really long time. It may have been they were short staffed due to the holiday weekend and perhaps some people called out. Because this was our first time here I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

The food was really great, fresh fish with the right amount of rice. Its a popular place and maybe that's why service feels a little rushed and even unfriendly at times.

This place was way overpriced for what you get. The rolls had no flavor and the tuna tataki for $30 was horrible. The flavors were off and you could hardly taste the tuna. The saving grace was 2 negiri’s were actually really good. Definitely not worth the price. Also the waitress was really nice :)
The sushi flavor was good, but the portions were extremely small. We spent over $200 on a delivery order and what we received did not reflect the size of what we ordered in the pictures and it was not enough for two people.

Not even deserve one star Really really rude employee Refused to give the uber eats delivery after waiting more than 20 min Tall girl Need to be respectful at least if dont wants to work. 0 star ⭐️
