First off the pictures of the food look amazing. The service behind the counter was great. The amount of food was amazing…you get what you pay for and some. Finally the taste was great for our, shrimp, wings, & catfish🙌🏽

The Catfish was deliciously fried with plentiful portions and the fries were great as well as the guy serving them- Super friendly! Just moved here from New York City and this will definitely be one of my go to spots!

Solid neighborhood fish fry, serving generous portions of a wide variety of seafood, crunchy cornmeal batter. Light on salt, perfect so as not to feel heavy. Choice of two fish and fries ($16.99) can easily feed two. Calamari and Whiting, excellent. Though a Chicago chain, a solidly Bayview establishment.

I ordered the shrimp, catfish and chicken wings combo. It was delicious and heart warming. Fries were crispy and soft. I am definitely going to come back and will be bringing friends and family to try this place out again.

As the pictures show, a ton of food. The food was made to order. The catfish & chicken were seasoned right. I didn't mind the 15-minute wait. My food came out piping hot. Well worth the 45-minute drive in the rain and over the bridge for the food. If you don't want to wait just call your order in. I loved the old-school trick of having the bread under the fried food. The food is 5 stars if you are into fried foods. My only knock was that I couldn't sit down and eat cause the doors were wide open and it was cold. So I ended up eating while driving home, which I was ok with. Will be returning.

Red snapper was tender and delicious. Skin/batter was slightly over seasoned though. Catfish fillet was good but less meaty than the snapper. Ended up with too much overseasoned batter and not tasting much of the fish. Staff was super friendly and nice. 5/5 for service. Would come again.

The chef does not take call in's because he's on his own personal phone. I don't know, but he picked up the phone and hung it up because management hadn't made it in. He let it ring and go to voicemail a couple times before he actually picked up the phone and took my order just letting you all know this was my experience today 09/17/25 But usually the owner's son is there and he's really good with customer service the owner is really good with customer service as well. They've been in the hood forever, they own the store on the other corner; or they used to.

Fish is fried well but could be seasoned better. Battered fries should be replaced with steak fries. Deserts are decent. Big Guy can be agressive sometimes. Two Jacks on Gilman taste better and is cheaper.

Grabbed this place on my way home. It’s fresh and the fried prawns are delicious. Chicken tenders were okay. Nothing special and the fries were not bad either. I think the place is just overpriced however for what is on the menu but it’s good to know that they stay open late, typically 11. I also had the peach cobbler but was fairly disappointed by it. I’ll try to come back another time and try the wings or other desserts.

It’s goes to show you never know who coming in your business. This guy was on his phone the whole time. I said hello while he was on his phone. He looked at me and went back to watching a video on his phone. I have reviewed lots of restaurants and ate at a lot an upscale and hole in the walls. This why by far the worst experience.
