Preguntas frecuentes sobre Slice House
Opiniones de Slice House San Francisco
Love Slice House! It is great when you don't want to order an entire pie. My favorites are their New York style and deep dish slices. The only drawback is when you take it to go, the toppings gets smeared on the top of the box. What once was a beautiful pizza slice is now smushed.
I had a medium Drunken Italian Pizza that was amazing. The homemade range was also very good. Would recommend.
Every slice is made with authentic Italian ingredients and it's probably one of the best pizzerias in San Francisco. The vibe is relaxed, casual, and cool like the Haight-Ashbury neighbor. It's popular, so remember that good things come to those who wait, but it's better to order ahead.🍕
my friends and I came in with boxes from Escape from New York just down the street. We were getting weird looks from the staff initially (makes perfect sense) until we disclosed to them that we were doing an intent comparison of pizza slices available on Haight Street. Upon return to our home in an undisclosed location, very close to both pizza places, it was very quickly deduced that Slice House had the superior quality pizza slices in every shape and form, and that they too are in possession of a superior quality ranch side. The quality of dough was observed to be more airy and light easier to consume. The slice of pizza was at least 35% larger. The sauce had a particular taste and sweet, sweetness, unfound to most mortal mouths. The pepperoni, an intensely flavorful cut of pig. We were also offered free parmesan at Slice House that was not made available to us at Escape from New York. Escape from New York is still a quality pizza place, however, do not defer to them unless slice house is already closed. That should be the only reason or factor that affects your decision to go to that one between the two. Otherwise trust Slice House every single time.
It seems I’ve made a tradition of coming here after my meditation practice. Meatballs are great, and only $11 for 6. Tonight I had the Gina pizza, it had a thicker crust with sweet tomato sauce and mozzarella chunks and pepperoni and it was AWESOME!!! I had cheese pizza last time and it was good. Not AWESOME but enjoyable enough and worth eating.
Had a cheese slice that was perfect. Light, airy crust with a great crunch and the perfect amount of cheese. Can’t wait to try their Detroit style. Interior is kind of basic but that’s not why I go so it’s all about the pizza.
The food is really good. But the real reason i love it here because of how thoughtful they are with me and my kids. When I order pizza with 3 little kids with me, the cashier adds "MAKE FIRST!!" to the order, and they ask if i want the slices cut in half (yes). And if we are eating in they always ask if i want it less hot for the kids (yes!!). Life is always better when strangers are looking out for you and your kids. Thank you!
OVERALL: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 - Friendly staff and self service. You border at the counter and find your own table. Ambiance: 5/5 - Cozy and casual We needed a quick bite to eat after a visit to de Young Museum and this was close by. So glad we found this. The pizza was amazing. Will be back if we are in the neighborhood 3-9-2024 - snack - table for 2
Delicious pizza! These slices are very, very large. For twelve people we ordered 4 larges but could have gone with 3. Perhaps ask for slices to get double cut so there are 12 slices vs 6. We got a few different types… but I must admit the veggie pizza was my favorite! Great pizza for fellow crust lovers.
Slice House makes a fantastic thin crust pizza, and a variety of salads. The pepperoni was a little greasy, but not as bad as other places I've been. I loved their pizza crust! Crisp and tender and not soggy. They have a small area for seating, but mostly do take away orders.
Usually I love their pizza. This time we decided to go vegetarian and ordered the tomato pie. Disappointed to say the least. Very little if any cheese and just tomato sauce. No flavor. They made me whole and sent me a gift cert. Thank you
This is one of my all-time favorite spots but I'm not sure what they're doing with raising the prices and buying cheaper products and taking classic things like a meat lovers pizza off of the menu but I'm not going to be able to come back The meat lovers was my favorite pizza. And I'm sorry I always put a little garlic on my pizza, and now it's actual powder; instead of ground granulated garlic powder. So when I went to put garlic powder on my pizza imagine how I felt when a mountain of actual powder came out instead of me being able to just sprinkle a little granulated garlic on it.
Nothing special, pizza is average, actually the slice house location of Walnut Creek is way better! Also 8 people in the shop today at 4.15 pm, pretty slow except me and other 3 people waiting for some slice! Took them 16 minutes to warm up 2 slice of pizza, while in the meantime the workers were joking, and having fun, making the waiting time to warm up 2 slices amount to 16 minutes ! If allowed I could have open my disk of pizza, put my toppings and cook it wholly in 14 minutes, having also 2 extra minute of fun!
For some reason, the quality here just isn't on par with the main restaurant next door. It feels like a watered-down version of Tony's. If you’ve had a few drinks and need food now, slice house or Golden Boy will work, but don't expect anything spectacular. It's strictly 'average' pizza. Tony's on the other hand, is my number #1 pizza choice in the city. If your not in the area, dont bother with this place, it isn't worth the travel.
