Opiniones de Sum Dim Sum San Francisco
Sum Dim Sum is one of those places where I seriously have to watch myself… because I could easily overdo it on the dumplings 🤤 We had the pork dumplings and they were absolutely delicious. We also started with a vegetable bun (I usually go for pork), and wow — it did not disappoint. We shared the spicy orange chicken (not the combo one), and it was really, really good. Perfect balance of heat and flavor 🔥🍊 Shoutout to our amazing server Charlene — fast, articulate, super attentive. She took our order, brought our food quickly, and delivered outstanding service. You can tell this place is well-run and stays busy for a reason. I love the open kitchen concept. Being able to see the food prepared just makes the whole dining experience better. If you haven’t visited this spot in Chinatown, I highly recommend you check it out. I honestly want to try everything on the menu. Next time we’re going for the wontons and one of their noodle soups 🍜 👉 Please follow, like, and share! #SumDimSum #ChinatownEats #DumplingLover #FoodieFinds #SupportLocal #OpenKitchen #GreatService #WorthIt
Service and atmosphere are very good. Food needs a bit more seasoning, at least for the dish I got, but is still really good. I got the shrimp Chow Mein
I visited this restaurant back in May and had an amazing experience. It’s a peaceful and welcoming spot perfect for sitting down to enjoy a meal without feeling rushed. I ordered the chow mein with pork and shrimp, along with dumplings, jasmine tea, and apple juice. One thing to note: while many Chinese restaurants offer a “House Special” chow mein (with a mix of meats), this place doesn’t list it on the menu. However, I was able to request it, and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. It was a thoughtful gesture that made the experience even better. I chose this restaurant over others in Chinatown after doing some detailed research, and I’m glad I did. I’ll definitely return the next time I’m in San Francisco.
This place is a vibe with its colorful artwork and tasty dishes. I really enjoyed the pork dumplings and pork pot stickers. But the vegetable spring rolls and fried buns with condensed milk were my favorite!
Rebranded to Sum Dim Sum. Solid value! There is a bathroom and plenty of indoor seating. Staff was kind and helpful with providing reconnections. The noodle with chicken soup was large and filling. I also got sesame balls, delicious :)
The food was delicious! I had the spicey Dan Dan noodles and highly recommend. My friend had the vegetable dim sum and loved it.
Great food, low key cafeteria style atmosphere, and delicious food! It was our first dim sum experience and it was a great one. The food literally came from the chef directly to our table - some of it too hot to eat immediately. We had the cashier pick out our order and she did a great job - a plate of Mongolian beef, and I think 5 orders of various dumplings. Its literally on the corner of China Town so we walked down the street a little ways and found some Chinese candy for dessert.
The chicken garlic noodle was bomb, super garlicky and the chicken was crispy on the outside, moist on the inside. Our server was super attentive, great and fast service, highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back again.

I really enjoyed this spot off the corner of Chinatown. Right next to the cable car street. A quick drop in and out within minutes. The menu is sold and delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful. Get a taste, you will not be disappointed. The spot is big for a family or a gathering of a few friends.
Modern dim sum done right! Everything was fresh, piping hot, and flavorful. Don’t skip the Xiao Long Bao or the Rice Noodle Rolls. It’s a bit of a wait on the weekends, but absolutely worth it for the quality.
I enjoyed my visit here and the food. I am giving it a 4☆ mostly because while the food is good, something about it seems like they just weren't trying to go the extra mile with it, and I have had better dim sum. As well the service, a little slow and inattentive.
The food was good. They have lunch specials for $15. We ordered broccoli and beed, and chicken with garlic noodles, everything was really good. They cooked everything really fast. I forgot to mentioned, that the lunch special includes one drink, we reccomend the passikn fruit tea, was delicious.
Sum Dim Sum was a straightforward and quick place to eat. I ordered the barbecue pork noodles, and I had no complaints. The ordering process was speedy, and I was surprised by how fast the food arrived. The service was fine. If you visit with modest expectations, the food should satisfy you. Overall, I enjoyed my experience here, especially since I could eat something quickly and then continue exploring Chinatown.
The server at the counter was helpful in choosing a couple of dishes. The runner from the kitchen dropped the food with a look of frustration and turned around quickly. The food was tasty (scallion pancakes and some dumplings) and just the right amount for my snack/meal. The large size of the dining room and the industrial decor make me wonder if the locals eat here, or is it mainly for groups of tourists?
First time here. I figured when in Chinatown…. Although the service was excellent the food was just good. I’ve actually had better Chinese in Inner Richmond! I ordered the shrimp dumplings and garlic noodles. I hate to be honest but I expected a little better.
Decent spot for some no frills dim sum. Place your order at the counter and then take a number sign to your seat and they will bring it out to you. The food came out really quick. So if you're looking for good dim sum quick then this is the spot. Ps: the chili Sriracha on the table is super spicy... I love spicy, but this made me cry.
Stopped by this place in Chinatown as other places were starting to close with some friends. I enjoyed the dim sum there, although I wish there was more variety and more for the price. The service was quick and the staff were nice. I also did really enjoy the fried buns. Overall a good experience for my first time in San Francisco, but it can’t beat an authentic dim sum place.
Decent Dim Sum restaurant in Chinatown. We got beef dumplings, some noodles and BBQ pork fried rice. All tasted so good. The kitchen is visible from your table and food comes directly from the chef. Staff is not so friendly and the service was a little slow even if the place was pretty quiet.

The service was fast and they have vegan options. The place was nice and the food was good with nice flavor. However, my only issue is that you shouldn't order teas here especially with alternative non-dairy milk because I ordered the thai iced milk tea w/ boba with almond milk for an extra 75 cents. But as you can see in the picture the drink barely had any milk and was all ice for a total of $5.75. I would get teas from another place and just get the food here.
Won Ton soup is good, but the noodles are a bit flavorless and dry. Chinese Pancake is good though. The bun is alright. Food came very fast.
The most basic plain version of Dim Sum Ive ever experienced, got the wonton noodle soup, it was more like warm water with no flavor and tasteless wonton & noodles no seasoning not even additional sides to spruce up the plain water. Would not recommend
Mid food and weird/awful service. The dumplings were extremely mid (tasted frozen). Garlic noodles were too salty and borderline cold. The potstickers were the only decent thing I had. THE SERVICE WAS SOOO WEIRD. The waiter took a while to take our order even though there weren’t any other customers there. The little guy with a missing tooth (cleaner) called me stupid in Spanish because I took pictures of my food (trying to promote their clearly struggling business). The cleaner and the waiter then laughed at me after I gave them a look. We confronted the waiter who played dumb and never apologized for their unprofessional behavior. Another couple walking into the restaurant heard our conversation and eventually walked right back out because the service was so bad. Shortened version. Don’t go here unless u want to have mid food, get called stupid and laughed at for taking pics of your food when it gets to your table. Go somewhere else!
Terrible service. I went here with my girlfriend and her sister. The waiter took FOREVER to even offer us drinks, the food did not seem to be made fresh at all. The dumplings, pot stickers, etc tasted and looked frozen. The cleaner was making fun of my girlfriend for taking pictures of our food because she was planning on posting a positive review. But after the way we were treated and the disgusting food I don’t believe they deserve to have business until they learn proper customer service skills and manners. The employees are RUDE!!!!

My family and I came for dinner and immediately things were off. The waiter took quite a bit of time to take our order. The food came out looking like it was frozen then put into a microwave. Each person spent around $20-$30 for frozen food essentially. My sister was taking pictures of the food to promote the business, as there seemed to be a lack there of, and the cleaner with the missing tooth called my sister stupid in Spanish assuming we couldn’t understand them. We confronted the server who laughed along with the cleaner and he did not apologize and acted oblivious. The couple that came in shortly after we left, immediately walked out due to poor service as well. Absolutely would not recommend there is definitely better.
