Tried out this newer restaurant and we were very impressed. The first thing you notice is the level of service. We had at least five servers/employees consistently asking how things were, how we were doing, refilling waters, etc. Very attentive, very friendly. For the food, I had the Risotto Pescatora, which was very good. It was a red sauce risotto, which I hadn't had before, and included scallops, shrimp, calamari, and clams. Well prepared, tasted great. People we were with had the eggplant and lasagna and both said it was great. Really enjoyed the food here and they also had some good wines on their menu - Austin Hope, Treanna, Daou to name a few. Had a really good experience here and would highly recommend trying.

As an Italian I rarely eat at Italian restaurants unless their dishes are way above the average. Finally I had the pleasure of dining at Limoncello, and I must say, it truly transported me to the heart of Italy with every bite. Their dedication to authentic Italian cuisine is evident in their diverse menu. I particularly enjoyed the "Tagliolini Limoncello". The delicate balance of flavors in this dish had me savoring each bite, and it was nothing short of culinary magic. If you're in the mood for exquisite Italian fare, Limoncello should be at the top of your list. Do not miss their delicious dessert! Highly recommended!

Nestled in the foothills of San Juan Capistrano, Limoncello Ristorante is a concealed treasure . With its warm and friendly staff, casual inviting atmosphere, Limoncello is the perfect place to enjoy a romantic dinner, a special occasion meal, or a casual lunch with friends. A nice outdoor patio is available for those that like to enjoy the pleasant Southern California climate. The menu at Limoncello features a variety of unique Italian dishes, all made with fresh ingredients. One of the most popular items on the menu is the Sofia Loren, a dish of paccheri pasta combined with squid ink pasta, shrimp, grape tomatoes, bell pepper infused in an exquisite creamy lobster brandy sauce. The different textures and tastes easily makes this a favorite. The Pera salad is a standout dish if you would like to enjoy a salad as an appetizer. It is a generous portion, so it can easily be considered a meal in itself. This salad is a combination of fresh organic greens, cherry tomatoes, grapes, sliced roasted pears, sweet gorgonzola, walnuts and a Pomegranate dressing. The salad is light and refreshing, and the flavors all come together beautifully. The optional grilled chicken shrimp or fish adds a protein element to the salad.. For those who are looking for a more hearty meal, the Grigliata Capri is a great option. This dish features a grilled seafood platter of shrimp, scallops, calamari and fish served with grilled vegetables. The seafood is fresh and cooked to perfection, and the grilled vegetables provide a healthy and flavorful side dish. No meal at Limoncello is complete without dessert. The restaurant offers a variety of classic Italian desserts, such as tiramisu, gelato, and sorbet. My favorite is the Delizia Al Limoncello. All of the desserts are made in-house and are wonderfully delicious. I highly recommend Limoncello Ristorante to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Italian meal in Southern California.

Italian dining at its best! Lovely outdoor patio setting, indoor as well. Suggest the buratta prosciutto appetizer, comes with freshly baked sourdough grilled bread. Delightful fresh salads, huge portions, loved the golden beet and strawberry salad, Cesar salad. Main course pappardelle with sausage and wild mushrooms was with a wine tomato sauce. The flavors blended so well and their pasta is fresh. The homemade lemonade, Prosecco and strawberry drink was refreshing. Service was friendly and attentive. Thank you to Mena for her service! All servers were excellent filling our water glasses on a warm summer evening.

Had to be one of the best foods I’ve ever had in a while!! Not to mention the lasagna was really cheesy and good. Also ordered a salad so props to whoever made mine🙌 Would recommend this place to everyone +aesthetic scenery

Man, what an experience. I saw good reviews and was skeptical, but this place lives up to the rating. Fast service - the food came out in a very timely manner. Excellent food - ample portion, creative playing, abundant sauce, and every dish was different and fresh. You can really taste the difference. I can't recommend this place enough! What an amazing restaurant!

Stopped by this new pizzeria and bar after work at limoncello and it did not disappoint!! The pizza was delicious crispy crust, fresh toppings, and great flavor. We also tried the dessert and it was just as good. Definitely coming back!

Hi there! So this is the best restaurant i have been too lately: the food and most important, the cocktails are to die for!! And don’t forget to ask about Sebi, he is going to make your experience unforgettable!

When I go out to eat I prefer non corporate restaurants like this place. Limoncello is run by three friends who are passionate about what they do and I enjoyed everything. Place was very clean and charming like places I saw in Italy. You can sit inside or outside. We started with octopus and potato salad. Trust me and try it I'm not a meatball person but I couldn't keep my fork off of it (which wasn't mine). I love seafood so decided on Grigliata Capri. My hubby ordered lasagna and trifle and parmesan fries. We also ordered chocolate gelato (it was amazing). Although the place just opened server was really well trained and I look forward to going back again.

Wonderful dining experience with great food for my birthday dinner. Featuring Branzino, Mediterranean Sea Bass so delicate but flavorful.

One of the most authentic Italian restaurants I’ve ever been in Southern CA! The pizzas, pastas, salads and cocktails are top notch…it is one our regular spots for date nights! Highly recommended 👌🏼

We like this restaurant and the owners are always there and working it hard and the food is great and the atmosphere terrific. They recently expanded, added pizza and a open bar.

Figured I would add one more 5-star review! We came here because Antonella and Simone are here and we were not disappointed. Incredible service… incredible cocktails (Hendricks Negroni), delicious Arancini, homemade lasagne and the truffle prosciutto pizza was fresh and tasty. We also met one of the owners Antonio and enjoyed the conversation and warm Italian atmosphere. (Still less expensive than airfare) ; ) We will be back next time we are back in SoCal!

Limoncello was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Everything we ordered was delicious — truly one of those meals where every single dish hits. The pasta was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, the sauces tasted fresh and authentic, and you can tell the ingredients are high quality. The appetizers set the tone right away, and dessert was just as impressive. Nothing felt rushed or generic — everything had that classic Italian warmth and richness. Service was attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere had that cozy, welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer and order another glass of wine. If you’re looking for real Italian flavors done right, Limoncello delivers. We’ll definitely be back.

The calamari is light, crispy and always fresh.I usually get the Sophia Loren pasta (would like to add, I would totally pay more for larger shrimp), but is amazing otherwise, and my husband gets Cafone, which is also delicious. The pasta is freshly made, and texture is absolute perfection! Their pizzas and salads are also solid choices, and they have a good wine selection as well. The service is typically very good, and the restaurant has a good ambiance. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Italian food in the area!

We had such a lovely experience thanks to our waitress Antonella B. She was kind, patient, and incredibly attentive without ever being intrusive. She made excellent recommendations and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Service like hers is the reason we’ll definitely be coming back.

I have not tasted these flavors in it's authentic nature since touring around Italy. The short ribs with Pappardelle was amazing. Not a dry, chewy piece of meat. Just like your pretend Nonna should make. The pasta was straight from the kitchen. A little sticky but throw some of the sauce into them and they separated like a blooming flower. The Pane (sourdough bread) fluffy and pull apart for the dipping sauces of Pesto Vinaigrette that came with it and the Ragu with the short ribs, a meal in itself. They should tell you if bread is not served on the side, which they don't do for to-go orders. It is $5 but worth the add on. Here in the USA we are custom to have bread a customary side to our dishes. Disappointed on my first order that it arrived with no bread. They lack the napkins and silverware that should accompany a to-go order. Some of us may be under a kitchen remodel or headed for a picnic at the beach. To-go means to-go. The first order we had was the Fettuccini with Bolognese with added Italian sausage. The sausage was sliced. Lots of it, and had a good flavor. Was a little disappointed it was not served whole. But, that's my problem. We had the Pera salad and it was amazing with no changes needed. For desert we had the Gelato chocolate and the Tiramisu. Perfect on point. The chef and owner (or the chef/owner) knows what they are doing and they should just keep doing it. I first saw this obscure restaurant while at the dentist. In the Marbella shopping center next to some random businesses. This place will need a bigger location in no time. Try it. A little higher priced but good sized portions, enough to share a couple dishes with someone you like to hang out with. Can't wait for the next order!

The staff nails every detail, from the small touches like keeping your water glass full and clearing plates promptly, to the big things, like delivering absolutely incredible food. I’d give this 10 stars if I could, every bite makes you feel like you’ve been transported straight back to Italy.

I have been in for a few meals now and it’s such an incredible experience every time! Family run and a truly authentic experience! Our server was a lovely Italian woman with blonde hair who gave us impeccable service throughout our experience! Food is never a disappointment and the owners are such kind people!

The atmosphere is intimate and relaxed, with soft lighting and a warm ambiance that makes it an ideal setting for a date night or a lively evening out. As a vegan, I was initially concerned since the menu does not include any vegan items. I mentioned this to our waiter, and the level of service that followed was outstanding. He took the time to speak directly with the chef, who graciously prepared a custom pasta for me with fresh vegetables and a red sauce. The dish was pretty good; vegetables were fresh and perfectly cooked, and the sauce was rich flavorful. It was clear that care and attention went into creating something satisfying rather than simply removing ingredients from an existing dish. My date ordered the Chicken Marsala and said it was delicious, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly. While I was disappointed that there are no dedicated vegan options on the menu, the staff’s willingness to accommodate and the quality of the meal made the experience truly enjoyable. The service was friendly, attentive.

I also ordered a margarita, but it tasted a little watered down and lacked the freshness I was hoping for. The Calamari is not as crispy as I would like. The atmosphere and service were pleasant, but the food and drink didn’t quite hit the mark this time. I might give it another try, but it wasn’t my favorite experience. Highly recommend to make a reservation.
