It's one of the best and most accessible cafeterias in Santurce for working people grabbing breakfast and lunch. Very friendly service. Great espresso coffee.
TL;DR Version: Great food for breakfast and lunch. Amazing Prices. Ridiculously great service! Their coffee is also great! It won't take you more than 4 minutes, from door to sitting at your table, to get your food @ lunch time. While around the area, I find it hard to go eat elsewhere. Prices: Breakfast for Under $5 Lunch under $9 Breakfast: Their oatmeal is very rich and has the right consistency -not too soupy and not too thicc Tortilla Espanola is done real tasty Empanadillas are also good -although I didn't like their cheese empanadilla Lunch: Literally everything in their menu is great. However, their amarillitos and tostones are "ok" Service:: I, for the purpose of science, started my phone's stop watch to see 1. Transit time from door to table 2. Time until we were attended @ the table 3. Time our food arrived [it was 1132AM and relatively packed] 1) 7 seconds walking to the table 2) 28 seconds, after being seated, that we were given the complimentary salad and had our order taken 3) from the time our order was taken it took 2 minutes and 43 seconds to have our food on the table. <insanely fast>

We were vacationing in the area for a week. We love food, and we wanted to get out of the touristy areas to sample what local people eat. I fell in love with mofongo. I bought a mortar and pestle at a souvenir shop to try to make it at home. It seems pretty easy. We went to Walmart to get some snorkling gear, and on the way back we took a detour through a neighborhood. We found a quiet street with some cafes on it. We saw a couple of fellas come out of this one. We went in and were surprised to see so many people in there. This is a place where Puerto Ricans get their breakfast. There were laborers in there, a woman who was dressed to work in an office or a salon and about a half dozen cops. It was a good breakfast. They fixed me up with a Cuban sandwich which isn't a breakfast item, but I love them so they were kind enough to serve it to me for breakfast. Precious got an omelet that came with toast. The coffee was decent but not out of this world. The people who work there were very nice and helpful. No problem getting another cappuccino. We went back again before the week was over.
