I was in Roseau, Minnesota visiting family and stopped into Nelson’s Cafe for breakfast, and it was outstanding. The caramel roll was incredible, and the biscuits and gravy absolutely set me up for success for the day. Every bite felt comforting and satisfying. “Home cooking” doesn’t quite do it justice. The food here feels like it’s cooked with love and served like you’re family. You can tell there’s real care behind everything that comes out of the kitchen. If you’re in Roseau, this is a must-stop spot for breakfast.

Best breakfast we have had in a long time. We had the ham and cheese omelet and the deluxe omelet with a caramel rolls to go. 🙌😃👌 The caramel rolls are huge!!! The servings are very generous. Highly recommend a stop at Nelson's Cafe!

My son and I stopped in for a takeout breakfast. We regret not stopping in sooner! We had a "world famous" diner in the town we moved from and have been craving a diner breakfast since we left. Nelson's definitely hit the spot. I had the deluxe omelet and my son got a breakfast special. Both were cooked perfectly, and, dare I say it, the omelet was better than back home. Service was super friendly and quick. We sat at the counter to order and wait for our to-go food. I had to laugh at the height of the counter and stools. Why is it knee-high? I felt like we were sitting at a toddler table. lol Overall, a great experience for breakfast. We're already talking about going back tomorrow.

Small town diner. Walked in the door and was hit in the face with fresh apple pie smells. Breakfast was good. Next time I get the pie. Ham and cheese omelette was good.

I love Nelson's Cafe! I stop in every time I'm in Roseau. Super cute, clean, and nostalgic cafe, with cool historic photos of locals/area. The vintage bar stools are the best. Service is fast and friendly, and the food is homestyle cooking, hot and good portions! Always have a good meal and experience, and feels good to support local business!
