We came here for the Grand Cru and knew we wouldn't be disappointed. And we weren't. Each dish surpassed the last. We started with some amazing duck egg rolls; the combination of flavors was indescribable. Thai shrimp, 100 out of 10. Delicious, the combination of flavors was equally delightful. Among the main courses: The hamburger is no rocket science, but here, just like at the Grand Cru, they knock it out of the park. Accompanied by crispy fries, perfectly seasoned, and their homemade ketchup—wow! The beef osso buco... nothing special (honestly, very bad). I felt bad sending it back. Desserts Pistachio Cheesecake WOW, the best I've ever had... and yes, better than Cru's, flavor, texture, one of those bites that reminds you of your mom's desserts. Coconut Mochi (complimentary) The contrast of textures, with the crunch of the shredded and toasted coconut and its saffron mango sauce. Delicious. The service was very good. And the cocktails were delicious. It's a shame to see places like this so empty on a Wednesday night.

I ordered barbecue croquettes, onion soup, pear salad, robata-grilled arrachera steak, and pistachio cheesecake for dessert. Ricardo, the manager of Alter Ego, provided excellent service. His recommendations were all spot on.

An excellent culinary offering, the beef bourguignon dumplings are a must-try and capture the essence of French izekaya. The duck egg rolls are also a delight to the palate with their rich sauce, and the lettuce leaves balance the dish perfectly.
