We went to Sanremo for an aperitivo. In the central area between the Ariston, the Casino, and Torre Saracena, we stopped at the San Sci café in the large Piazza Eroi Sanremesi. We sat outside, where the waiter suggested three typical aperitivos: Spritz, Aperol, Barzo, and Hugo, prepared with herbs and elderflower. He served us with a platter of local cheeses and cured meats typical of Liguria. In the Sanremo atmosphere, we appreciated the waiter's comments on the preparation of the three types of Spritz. Excellent! We'll be back!

A great place for an aperitivo in the center of Sanremo. For €5, you get a LARGE Aperol Spritz and a platter of cured meats, cheeses, and breadsticks. From the outdoor tables, you can admire the beautiful church of San Siro. Service is quick, but the staff could be friendlier and more cheerful.

Unfortunately, we had bad experience here: food was terrible :( from pasta in Italian cafe we expected real Italian tasty pasta, but finally received just bad macaroni, also "penne avec saumon" turned out to be penne with crevettes in kind of saumon sauce :) atmosphere was disgusting because sellers of different stuff were messing around tables suggesting to buy their stuff. What was good: fast service and starter plate for free.

Called for a drink only to be NON greated by a young waitress, who wasn't overly friendly 😟. The price of the drinks which included tagliere salumi & formaggi was good value for money @ €5 each. When asked where the toilets were the young waitress totally ignored me.

Been coming to Sanremo for years and visited this cafe often. This time, not sure if the staff had changed or what happened, but we had 3 x cappuccino and 1 hot chocolate, my friend went into pay, and was charged 20EUROS!!! I went in after checking the prices on the menu, which were less than half that. After a brief discussion they refunded 5euros, without a word of apology. Really sad to see this cynical ripoff of tourists.

Catastrophic. please don’t eat there, food is a shame awful surgelated pizza, gnocchi with what? Scallopine not cooked. Wine ? Guess ! I made a mistake all other restaurant was full except that one : I know why. Please Don’t let that kind of pet food spoil the Italian cucina.
