Discovered this place in my quick attempt to find a breakfast bagel and coffee shop. AMAZING! Their bagel egg sandwich was DELICIOUS and their coffee was mild and tasty, not burnt. This is now going to be my go-to breakfast spot when I’m downtown!

This is one of my fave spots to go to when I am in Santa Barbara. Their breakfast and pastries are great, but I love their tamales and salsa, especially. Not to mention, the owners/employees are absolutely wonderful people and are so attentive and kind whenever I go there. Their service makes it that much more enjoyable.

We needed a lunch catered for 20+ people at the last minute and the team at El Chisme came through! The service was quick, the food was delicious and they saved the day! Thank you! A true hidden gem!

Probably the best store of its type. The fruit is very fresh and all the toppings go well with the offerings. The crepes are well worth the value and they’re so thin and airy. I’ve had issues with an overpowering egg flavor at other places, but not here. The couple in front are either the owners or managers but they’re always friendly.

Only place in town with funnel cake! Plus, Crepes, mini pancakes!! Unlimited topping, including ice cream! 🤤family ran, with great customer service! Enjoyed everything and will be back!

great cozy establishment and nice employees. the food in the other hand disgusting. i had a craving for an esquite and the nearest place to my job that had one is this place . i was so exited to get my craving satisfied i receive my order and its a mushy mess mayo and chile everywhere it looked so unappetizing. i tried it and it was gross so much mayo the corn tasted old . that’s not how an esquite is supposed to look or taste . i’ll leave a photo of how disgusting it looked . they didn’t even ask me how much mayo i wanted or if i wanted chile so that’s why i didn’t specify it’s their job to ask . i only could eat half sucks my money went to the trash . do better creperia de chisme ! ( that’s the esquite i received looked like 🤢)
