My favorite coffee shop in San Diego! Their cappuccinos are creamy, smooth, and aromatic with the perfect amount of froth. The yogurt parfaits and the egg white bites are fresh and delicious. They have excellent customer service and such a nice atmosphere! Absolute gem!

Coffee Box is a charming little spot offering a great selection of coffee and light bites. Located within the Alila Marea Resort in Encinitas, it’s the perfect place to grab a drink and relax. Brittany, the barista, was incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations. Since I love trying different lattes wherever I go, she suggested the Orange Spice latte, made with a house-made orange cardamom syrup. It was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this spot!

I've been going to this coffee shop for the last three years and absolutely love it. The food and drinks are great and the staff is amazing. Brittany and Sylvi are so kind and fun and brighten my day :)

By far my favorite coffee in all North County, was surprised they are actually using Lofty beans because I like their coffee more than lofty. The coffee there is always top notch, and is perfectly balanced. Staff is super friendly, and you can’t beat that view when getting your caffeine fix. The actual shop itself is also super cute with lots of local goods to pick a gift from. I always try to stop there whenever I am on the 101 as I know I will get quality coffee, great service and won’t have to wait at all.

The Matcha is amazing!! Brittany has excellent customer service skills and is very friendly. I love coming here for a sandwich and acai bowls.

Seven Seas Roasting has recently opened at the Alila Marea Beach Resort in Leucadia, Encinitas, California on the 101. I stopped in and had the Cinnamon Honey Latte and a waffle. The latte was very well balanced between the honey and the cinnamon, and more importantly, the rich and smooth espresso flavor came through nicely. It was a delicious latte. The Belgium waffle was very good. It offered that nice thickness and texture. It had a very good flavor and came with a side of butter. They offer a variety of pastries and baked goods, not to mention a variety of toasts and bagels. The coffee shop offers inside and outside seating. Parking is limited, but one can park on the entrance curbs to visit the coffee shop. There's street parking available just south of the resort on the 101. The service was super friendly and upbeat. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

If I could give 10 stars I would! The vibe,, the specialty coffees made in the kitchen (so fresh and unique), and the people behind the counter with their bright smiles make this the BEST coffee place in town. Sylvi & Sierra are such pros and they are the sweetest. We come here for them as much as we do for the coffee! It’s a very special place you can only find here at the Alila Marea.

Coffee Box is literally the best thing about this hotel! I love the vibe on the patio. It's right next to the beach, so the weather is always perfect. Great place to chill and meet a friend for coffee. Sylvi and Sierra are the BEST!!! They've got the drink making down and everytime I go, it's like visiting old friends!

Encinitas has a little gem of a coffee shop, Seven Seas Roasting. The weather was perfect for a bike ride and a coffee. Not only did we enjoy a seaside bike ride, but we also enjoyed a book and coffee on the patio. I ordered a latte, and my asked for a decaf latte. These were easy to sip while reading a book. The down side, the patio view is of a small traffic circle. This shop appears dog friendly. If you are looking for coffee destination, then consider Seven Seas Roasting.

New potential customers should be aware that the business now has new ownership - Seven Seas Roasting - and is no longer run by the hotel. Many of the older pictures show menus and food options that are not reflective of present options. Look for the newer pictures of menus. I have not tried any of the food on the new menu but the coffee is still excellent. The new menu has more extensive food options but pastry offerings in the display appear more limited. Sadly, longtime employees, including the famous Sylvi, will be leaving due to pay cuts under the new ownership. We will see how that affects service in the future. The locals discount is also no longer available.
