Absolutely divine. Pair it with the smoked trout dip (you must), and top it off with their espresso martinis — perfection in a glass. This place turned a regular day into something unforgettable. I’ll be dreaming about that meal for a while!

One of the best bars in Santa Monica. Located less than a block of the Promenade, this prohibition-esk restaurant offers delicious food and solid cocktails. We love coming here for their happy hour. It’s a great place to spot in for a quick drink or bring guests for a meal. Indoor and outdoor seating available, consider this gem for your next trip to 3rd st.

Good here was incredible. Prices were very good and we took arrange of happy hour which was 50% of cocktails and wines. The staff were very polite and welcoming 😃

The atmosphere that’s both elegant and inviting, vintage tile floors, velvet drapes, high ceilings, and moody lighting give it a timeless, old-school charm with a modern edge. The food was phenomenal, every dish thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. A special shoutout to the lobster mini Nik Nicks, next-level delicious. Drinks were just as impressive, handcrafted and well-balanced, and clearly made with care. And the happy hour is one of the best around. Half off all drinks until 7pm. Parking on the street can be a bit tricky, but there’s a structure nearby with the first 90 minutes free and just a couple of dollars per hour after.

Our experience was fantastic. The food was amazing! My friend has a severe gluten allergy and pretty much all the food on the menu was gluten free (even the fried chicken!) and she was so excited. We went right before 6 and it was quiet and delightful but com 6:30 the crowd started to pour in and it became very loud. It was not anything that was truly bad but it did take away from the experience a little for me. Loved it though, will definitely go again!

What a lovely place! I ended up here on a relatively busy Saturday late afternoon after watching the sunset. I was quickly brought to the bar where I could order both drinks and food. I ordered a fantastic Japanese dream, and paired it with a nice portion of mac&cheese. The cocktail alone was worth the visit, an explosion of flavours. Plus, during happy hour, drinks are 50% off! The service was really nice, and the place seemed really popular, and was really packed with locals.

Very nice surprise! Came here before going to cirque du soleil bc the reviews were good and it did not disappoint! The fries and mac n cheese were outstanding and the walnut bolognaise was a surprise delicious twist. Pan seared sea bass was good but not something I would try again. Definitely check this place out if you have a chance.

This place has been on my Santa Monica list for years. We arrived about 30 minutes before they opened, no problem since its so centrally located near 3rd street promenade. We walked up to the hostess about 10 minutes before opening and were quickly greeted and seated inside near the window. The first thing that stands out is the decor i mean wow its beautiful in there. An homage to the prohibition area of the 1920's. seats were comfortable and the atmosphere was awesome. I imagine on a busy afternoon or evening this place is bustling! Food: Crispy Chicken Sandwich - jidori chicken breast. fennel slaw. granny smith apple. spicy mayo This is the star! one of the top 10 chicken sandwiches i have ever eaten. The coleslaw was fresh and the chicken fried to perfection. The sauce was heavenly and the apple slice at the bottom was an amazing surprise. GET THIS! The Smash Burger - double patty. tillamook cheddar. red onion. pickles. lettuce. tomato. secret sauce Very good burger, but compared to the chicken sandwich it pales in comparison. Hand Cut Kennebec Fries - Crispy salty delicious and HUGE enough for 3 people at least. Sauce Tip: Get the house-made honey mustard it's AMAZING Drinks: They have a huge bar that really is the centerpoint of the restaurant with anything you could possibly want. Service: Both the Hostess and the server were extremely friendly and the food came out very quickly. Dessert: Had both the pistachio and mint ice creams, both were super underwhelming, with the mint one being the most egregious. This was the most bitter ice cream I have eaten, I see what they were going for here but the bits of actual mint leaves just kinda ruined the flavor overall. Price: We went for Lunch and it was on the more expensive side. The sandwiches dont come with any sides so add $10 for them and you are looking in the $22 range without drinks. Compared to other places in the area I think it's right in line for the price. You are better off with the complimentary sea salt cookies as you walk out. Parking tip - Use the public parking structure on Santa Monica & 4th street you get 90 minutes for free. 1444 4th St, Santa Monica, CA 90401 Overall a great experience and a top restaurant in Santa Monica check it out!

Walking into this bar is like entering a speak-easy vibe from a different era, off the street. Its classy and sassy and just enough chill to be a walk-in occasion. The dish I had was spicy red pepper and walnut dip with toasted homemade pita bread and was amazing. I had a lovely white sangria with fruit, that pulled off flavor but without being heavy or syrupy. The crowd was mixed, with some Real Housewives types, with casual locals, with tourists and those looking for upscale downtime chill. The place had no AC and I was pretty miserable though. The bathrooms are upstairs and single-serving and private with music blasting so loudly you can do all your business and not even a single human could hear your machinations.

Food is overall okay but the drinks are phenomenal. Highly recommend the walnut dip with pomegranate and molasses. I would suggest adding more “bar food” choices to the menu. Loved the atmosphere and drinks.

Went to Misfit Bar and Restaurant as part of a work dinner. As a vegan, I didn’t find much on the menu I could eat. A few salad options when you remove the cheese or swap out a dressing and then the falafel lettuce wraps. I wish they had a couple more options for vegans. With that said, the service was good and the restaurant seems well managed. The falafel meal was good, but a little pricey for the amount of food and the fact it’s falafel. If you aren’t vegan, this is probably a much better experience.

The food came out quickly and the staff were friendly. My family ordered burgers and said they were really tasty. I had the shrimp tacos, but they were a bit of a letdown — the batter was too thick and tasted like it wasn’t very fresh. The shrimp inside were tiny compared to the size of the coating, which made the whole thing feel off. Still, the overall vibe was nice, and the champagne was great.

Drinks were half off when we went on a Sat. Drinks were very good and they had a variety of liquor options. The Gin cocktails were my favorite. The chicken sandwich was delicious and the Mac & Cheese was good, but it got grainy while we were sipping our drinks.

We came to celebrate my brother‘s 40th birthday at this establishment as this is the one he wanted to go to since he lives in the area. It wasn’t too packed on a Sunday night (1/25/206), and our server, Harry, was lovely and greeted us with a smile and ensured that we were taken care of due to the shellfish allergy and lactose intolerant guests at the table. He was very attentive to everything and brought out our drinks and food in a timely manner, and he also let me know that he would have a non-dairy so that we could sing happy birthday. He also had great recommendations on the drink to accommodate everyone’s preference and we enjoyed the selections that were made along with the food. The reason why I did have to leave the stars I did was in relation to the way we were treated by the manager. What was a family evening with family and photos to create memories of our night turned into the manager cornering me at the bar as I was taking a photo of my brother and his girlfriend. I had a small clip-on light on our iPhone that helps take photos when it’s a little bit dark so that we could have our family photos perfectly for this milestone. She approached me and said that professional photography was not allowed without permission and that I could not be taking photos. I questioned the policy because I did not have a professional digital camera on me, I only had an iPhone, taking family photos, and the light was a small clip on light that most used for vlogging for example, no umbrella lights or large tripods or professional equipment. When I extended my hand to introduce myself, she also hesitated to extend hers back and did not give me her name after i gave mine. I let her know that this was not a professional photo shoot. What was most upsetting is that we know that my brother and his girlfriend do not have a traditional relationship and do stand out in public as they are in a biracial relationship, and we all felt profiled and picked on by the manager, making assumptions about our presence and purpose there. I found her to be very rude, and the only reason we chose to stay was because we did not want to leave Harry without a gratuity after he had already been providing service to our table and he truly was an excellent person. However, we will no longer be returning to this establishment.
