Great place for a lovely British tea!!! We had a delicious selection of mini crust less sandwiches, mini quiche, a scone with clotted cream and jam, a sponge, and an eclair for each of us. I got the vegetarian tea selection, which is ovolacto vegetarian and perfect. It was just what we wanted for a reasonable price (compare it to the price for similar in other places in Los Angeles if you think it's high - it's really not). Great service. Fun decor.

A fantastic British pub—definitely a classic spot in Santa Monica. I had the Sunday roast, which was absolutely delicious and came in a generous portion. My only wish is that they offered cask ale.

Dropped into Ye Olde King's Head and it felt like stepping into classic pub. The place rocks a classic UK vibe from floor to ceiling. It's squeezed between two bars also owned by the restaurant, so it gets pretty lively at night! We kicked things off with the sausage rolls—super crispy and packed with flavor. The shepherd's pie and Irish stew were up next, both hearty and tasty, though pretty basic. The real star was the sticky toffee pudding—absolutely a must-try. They've got a solid beer lineup on tap, which is a big plus. The staff was super friendly, really made us feel welcome. Overall, Ye Olde King's Head delivers a great British pub experience. Simple food, done well, with a buzzing atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the mood for some across-the-pond classics!

We love this place! Whenever we need our London fix we come here and eat the same food we would eat in a pub in London. It’s classic pub food, nothing spectacular nothing disappointing. Service staff are very friendly with good banter, atmosphere is very nice. It’s one of the places you can order a pint of Guinness with black currant and they’ll bring it to you without a “ha?”. Their King size Fish N’ Chips and Poached cod is particularly good. We haven’t tried their Sunday roast or curries, I’ll report back when we do. If you are in Santa Monica and need to get your London fix, give it a good go. Update on 8/27 We went there for their Sunday roast. They have lamb, beef and veggie patty. Our friends said the lamb was a little over cooked but the Yorkshire pudding was really nice. Lastly we had their apple pie and it was very good.

This place is mad cool. I wish I remembered my waitress’ name but she was a sweetheart and very attentive. This is the closest to British food I’m going to get until I visit. I was open to anything, and under the guidance of my waitress, I had a fantastic meal. If you’re someone who’s dieting… brace yourself. There’s decent sized portions and loaded with all the carbs, gluten, salt, and sugar you would ever want/need in a meal. Didn’t have room for dessert but I did have it for two cocktails. Both were A+s. I’m gonna check this place out again when I’m back in Santa Monica.

I loved the decors in the restaurant. The tea room was full! There were several people having the afternoon tea on the patio although it wasn’t even warm out there. We were not hungry and had salads instead. 😅

We looked forward to going here (as we’re English and used to run pubs ourselves for many years). But we were sadly disappointed. After having stomach surgery and only able to eat tiny portions I asked if I could order from the kids menu. I was given a definite no, it’s against company policy. What difference does it make who’s eating the food, if it’s paid for? My husband ordered fish and chips so I said I would eat some of his food. I was told I would need to have a sharing plate, extra cost. Ok then. I pulled off the batter, my husband ate it, he’s a dustbin. He enjoyed the beer. I didn’t leave a tip when I paid at the till. From that moment on I was ghosted… ok then. I’m now travelling to LA every month and there’s a lot of other food places to try.

No one comes by to refill the water The worst curry I’ve ever had in my life. All frozen vegetables (if you consider peas vegetables), white-people rice. I often have dinner with my family (4 persons) at various restaurants in Santa Monica. I’ve been to your place several times before, and only today did I notice that a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill. This has never happened on my previous visits. I didn’t notice it and ended up leaving an extra +15% on top. I’m not stingy with tips and I tip well, but I really dislike it when the gratuity is forcibly added in advance while the check still has a tip line asking for more. Interestingly, I still have my previous receipt from your restaurant, and back then there was no automatic gratuity at all. I’m not asking for a refund — you can keep the money. But we won’t be dining with you anymore 👎. The policy of mandatory added tips is very off-putting. The customer should decide for himself how much to leave. I’ve never encountered this at any other restaurant in Santa Monica
