I was at this family restaurant twice and would definitely come again since the ligurian cuisine there is amazing! Portions are really big, and prices are good(around 12-15 for a huge seafood dish). I loved spaghetti al cartoccio, highly recommended!

The food was delicious and we loved that they had vegetarian options too. I ate one of the best pizzas there 💕 the staff was very polite and friendly. Food came very quick. Highly recommend this place! 😊

Loved this restaurant. Recommended by our air bnb host, so glad we took the recommendation. Little place I never would have found myself. Make the effort to go. I had the best spaghetti with clams of my whole Italy trip. The house sparkly white wine was amazing. Definitely the reason I staggered home. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was casual and local. Lemoncello at the end of the meal made me so happy. I would go back for sure. People were so nice.

Absolutely exceptional! Been visiting this restaurant since birth, and will continue to until the end of my days. The food is amazing, as it's on the Riviera they have fresh seafood on offer and the pizzas are also some of the best I have ever eaten. When I return in a few week I shall post some photos as I believe that this gem of an establishment must be visited by all who pass through Sestri Levante.

Good food, the tuna was great and the lasagne too. I've had better calamari though. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Desserts were also really good.

Very good! It's worth walking a bit out of the old/touristy part of Sestri Levante to go here. Reservations recommended. We didn't have a reservation, but since we came early, they let us have a table. It seemed like most people had reserved though. I had a pizza which was massive, and my husband had a very good steak with pecorino cheese sauce which came with potatoes. Nice servers and nice ambiance inside. Outdoor seating.

Great place in Sestri Levante to enjoy the local food. All avout sea food, very tasty, big dishes. Good choice of italian simple wines, reasonable prices. Difficult to get the table - waiting time sometimes over 20 min. Check the bill to avoid aby surprizes ;-)

We decided to visit La Lanterna based on its strong reviews, but unfortunately, we left disappointed. We ordered three dishes: the trofie al pesto, pansoti con salsa di noci, and grilled vegetables. All three arrived lukewarm or cold, giving the impression they weren’t freshly prepared. The trofie al pesto was decent, though unremarkable — but more concerning, we found what was clearly a fly in the dish (wings and legs intact). When we brought it to our waitress’s attention, she kindly took the plate to the kitchen. She was professional and understanding throughout. However, the dish was returned to us with the explanation — apparently from the chef or manager — that the “fly” was actually an ingredient from the pesto. We initially accepted this, but as the meal went on, it became clear the staff was not being forthright. If it truly wasn’t a fly, why had the “ingredient” been removed before the dish was returned? We chose not to press the issue further, but the way it was handled — offering no solution and brushing aside our concern — felt dismissive. The pansoti con salsa di noci was edible but tasted like it had been made with frozen pasta, was served cold, and lacked depth of flavor. The grilled vegetables were the most enjoyable part of the meal, though again, they arrived cold. While we didn’t enjoy the food, I do want to emphasize that our waitresses were very kind and attentive, and we appreciated their efforts. In all, this visit fell short of expectations. With so many great dining options nearby, I’d recommend looking elsewhere
