I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! Grew up with H Salt Fish and Chips, and did not think anything could compare. This place is even better!!!! I have been coming here for years, and my sister was hesitant... I took my sister yesterday, and she is PICKY!!!! We go to the H Salt on Lindley when I go to the doctor in Tarzana, and NO MORE!!! She raved!!!!! So YAYYYY!!!! we will only come here from now on!!! AAAA++++

Mr F&C serves great, panko-crusted fish, shrimp, other seafood at very reasonable prices. Also on offer: tempura dishes and broasted chicken. The food is piping hot, crispy, and non-oily. They care about their cuisine: takeaway containers are ventilated to let out steam, which prevents the food from growing soggy on the way.

It's a cute small fish and chips shop. My friend and I ordered the fish and chips. The fish is amazingly soft and delicious. 10/10, would order again.

Love their tartar sauce. HUGE servings and very tasty. Nothing but fried fish! Can't wait to taste the shrimp!

Came here for the very first time and fell in love. Small local restaurant with some yummy fish and chips. Owner was so nice and happy to greet everyone. Awesome prices, great fish

Me & my wife both got the Combination D. & shared an order of Fried Zucchini. One thing to note is that they don't have a large dining area but on our many visits they consistently do more takeout/pickup business than dine-in. We have always been able to get one of the few tables available.

I also love eating in, surrounded by the cozy atmosphere and warm hospitality from the owners! They truly make me feel welcomed! Highlights: - Delicious fish and chips - Quaint atmosphere - Friendly service - Bottled drinks One minor suggestion: the Coleslaw serving size is a bit small - it's that good! Overall, I highly recommend this hidden gem, especially for their mouthwatering fish and chips!

The batter on the fish and the shrimp was crispy and delicious. The fries were excellent. My only regret was I didn’t take a picture of the food so it could accompany this post.

Both my wife and I ordered the 2 piece fish combo. The batter on the fish was crunchy and good, not overly oily. And the fish inside was moist and tasty. We also got a side of onion rings that were crunchy and flavorful. The owner is super nice.

I love this place. The staff makes you feel so welcomed the moment you walk in the door. The food is amazing as well. I've made a point to order something different every time we dine there. The shrimp and grits are my absolute favorite. So tasty and the textures are amazing

This was my first visit. I had the chicken. It was very tasty. They gave me a few of the breast pieces. They were not dry like so many are. They were plump & juicy. I also ordered the side of mushrooms. These were a little different than what I was expecting. They're like whole mushrooms wrapped in wonton wrappers and then fried. They were good but definitely sharable. The side order was large and a few will satisfy your taste for them. They came with a sauce that I did not use. I think it was ranch but not sure. If you looking for good fried chicken they also have fish and shrimp. I have not tried those yet but my brother was visiting from Alaska a few weeks ago and found them because he was specifically looking for fish and chips. He said the fish was excellent. Good size portions and the brosted potatoes were very good as well. If your in the area stop by and give them a try.

Very crunchy fish and butterflied shrimp, fried in a neutral oil like peanut. Served with fries and a small cole slaw. I enjoyed this panko like crunchy breading and both the cocktail and tarter sauce were tasty, fish was not fishy or smelly. Good comfort food prepared with an Asian flair. I would go there again, sorry no picture, I ate the food to quick to get one.

The food seems to be a very high quality compared to most fish and chips places. The fish appears to use tempura batter instead of normal breading, which would be fine if it were served with tempura sauce or something similar. Instead it is served with a tartar sauce that is really just kind of bland. The owners were very nice. The prices are acceptable. The pieces of fish are huge. They just need to reconcile themselves to a specific style. British or Japanese.

They don't make their own tartar sauce and could be a lot more friendly. I can immediately think of several places that have better fish and chips and better value. There's no passion in their product and it shows.

I would normally get the broasted chicken here. The restaurant has changed hands, so they no longer offer broasted chicken. They suggested the chicken fillets , so I tried them. Ì'm sorry to say, they were horrible. They were super thin and deep-fried in a tempura batter. They litterely had no taste. All you could taste was the tempura batter, which, to me, was weird for chicken. The owner was extremely sweet. I saw the fish someone else had gotten. It looked really good, but I don't know. I may go back and try the fish, but I definitely do not recommend the chicken.

Disgusting! Bland, no flavor, only taste grease. They didn’t even fry the fish all of the way. Breading was soggy & just gross. A waste of food!
