Food was amazing. Juicy steak cooked to perfection. The house wines and cocktails were also perfect and wonderfully crafted. The inside of the restaurant is themed in a way that you just feel the vibes and atmosphere caress you while enjoying your meal. Just an amazing experience and definitely something I’d recommend to anyone. Bar staff was also splendid to talk to!

Even on a unexpected busy prom night we we able to find seating in the lounge. The staff members are courteous and professional. The food is nothing short of phenomenal. The steak is always cooked to perfection. You can not go wrong with a traditional baked potato, tonight I tried the risotto and it did not disappoint. Most places skimp out on the steak portions, not Morries. The cheesecake is a very nice light cheesecake, some of the best I have had. I will always choose to come here when I am in Sioux Falls. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.

A great celebration with friends! Food, beverages, ambiance and service were all fantastic! We even tackled a couple of Tomahawks! Great night!

My mom and step dad took me here. Absolutely amazing! We sat in the bar area in a booth, very cool atmosphere, high end steak house but a bit more casual in the bar. The food was absolutely amazing! I had the Wagyu top sirloin with Au Poivre and Spicy Gochujang Brussels Sprouts. We shared the loaded hashbrowns. Finished dinner with amazing Irish coffee and all three shared the turtle cheesecake and Nana’s Carrot Cake. All was absolutely amazing!! Our server was tentative, informative, and helpful.

We always stop at Morrie's when in Sioux Falls. Great steak and the jalapeño creamed corn is a must!

My husband took me here for my birthday as a surprise. It was one of the best restaurants we have ever been to. The staff was great & welcoming & the food was even better. From our appetizer, to bread, to our soup & salad & than our full meal. We didn't have one complaint. 10/10 recommend!!

After two weeks at hunt camp in Missouri, we decided to treat ourselves to Morrie’s Steakhouse in Sioux Falls on our way back to Washington state,—and it was an experience to remember. Despite our less-than-polished attire (sweatpants and hoodies, straight from camp life, but hey at least we were clean and smelled nice 🤷🏼‍♀️), we were welcomed into this elegant steakhouse. Admittedly, the hostess gave us a bit of a glance—understandable given the upscale atmosphere—but once seated, we felt completely at ease thanks to our phenomenal server, Erin. Erin truly made our evening. She was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, answering all our questions with patience and providing spot-on recommendations. Her genuine kindness and top-tier service erased any worries we had about not “fitting in.” And the food? Simply incredible. The steaks were cooked to perfection—exactly as ordered—and the French onion soup exceeded even the glowing reviews we’d read online. Every bite was a testament to the restaurant’s reputation for excellence. Morrie’s is now a tradition for us whenever we pass through Sioux Falls. We might consider packing something a little more polished next time, but honestly, there’s something charming about showing up in sweats and hoodies after camp—it adds to the story. Either way, we’re looking forward to our next visit to enjoy this first-class dining experience again!

This place was amazing. Priced fairly for the quality and quantity of food received. We went for my wife's birthday and they even gave her a wonderful piece of cake. We definitely plan on returning. Note: this is not a quick bite. This is a place to take your spouse to talk, sip wine and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere. You are not rushed at all. The whole experience was amazing and lasted approximately 2 hours.

Was very delicious and the staff were fantastic! Took mom for Mother’s Day the Friday before definitely make reservations. Yes it’s expensive but it’s worth it to at least have it once because it is so delicious!

We made reservations for our 14th wedding anniversary and were greeted right away and seated. My husband ordered the fillet and asparagus and I ordered the Chilean sea bass with risotto. We ordered a side of lobster mashed potatoes that were absolutely to die for! Everything was so delicious and the service as always was outstanding! Because it was our anniversary they gave us the brownie sundae to celebrate. Always an excellent experience and the best food out there.

What a fantastic dinner here. Can't believe I never knew of this place before yesterday considering how many times I've been to Sioux Falls! Bar staff was exceptional and the food was superb. The walleye bites were a great appetizer. The Zabuton steak was fork tender and bursting with flavor! Forbidden rice risotto and asiago creamed spinach were great sides. I will definitely return here again.

Checks just about every single box that I look for in a steakhouse. From the setting to the service and everything in between. They had some great mocktails which a lot of the high end places seem to drop the ball on. The steaks were cooked perfectly to order. I’d highly recommend getting the bone marrow tartare as an appetizer. Great food, great service, and great environment. Will be back again.

We went here for our anniversary and boy they did not disappoint! We had the coconut shrimp for our appetizer. There were six of them and they were massive jumbo tiger shrimp with the most flavorful breading and sauce. I should have made them my meal with a salad. The salad had lettuce and spinach, a variety of tomatoes, shredded carrots, cucumbers and croutons served with a side of creamy ranch dressing and husband had a Caesar salad which looked very tasty with crisp romaine lettuce and fresh shredded parmesan cheese. For my entree I chose to order the oven roasted chicken. It was a whole dang chicken!! I had about 3 bites and I was done because I was so stuffed from the shrimp and salad! It was!delicious, though, with a bourbon glaze, I think, and all kinds of steamed vegetables. My husband had the 8 oz Morgan Ranch Wagyu Top Sirloin (which is what I SHOULD have had size-wise) and the Boursin Mashed Potatoes. The beef was super tender and he said it melted in his mouth and the potatoes were seasoned just right. I also enjoyed a very delightful lavender lemonade mocktail. Yum!! Oh, gosh. And then they gave us a Death By Chocolate cake to share. It was also ginormous and we had to take it home with my leftovers. I must also mention that our waitress, Erica, was excellent. It was all a very pleasant experience. We will definitely go back. 1000% recommended.

This is one place I've been wanting to try since I moved to Sioux Falls. Did not disappoint. The food was not as good as Hells Kitchen in Vegas but Morries Steakhouse is the Hells Kitchen of Sioux Falls. Atmosphere and Decor are decent. Good steakhouse vibe. Although our booth had rips in the fabric. Waitress Kali was good. Attentive, friendly, not as talkative as I like but definitely a professional at her job. We started with an appetizer of Poutine, a Margarita and some cocktail they ran on special. My Margarita was 5 star. So strong and very delicious. Top notch all the way. My wife's drink was excellent and the Poutine was so delicious. Then came the entrees of Crab Cakes, 100 layer lasagna, French onion soup, Chicken rice soup and Caesar salad. Best dish of the night without question was the French Onion soup. So amazing. The lasagna, crab cakes and chicken rice soup were very good. No complaints for sure. The Caeser salad was not good. Lettuce was wilted, little dressing..just not good. For dessert we had the Death by Chocolate cake. Really good. Nothing that knocked my socks off but really tasty. Portion sizes are huge at this place. We walked out with a bag full of leftovers. With a 20% tip, the bill for 2 was $200. Worth it in my opinion. We will be back to try the steaks. Morries was so good it took over my #2 spot of favorite Sioux Falls restaurants. Now it's Granite City, Morries and La Plaza Fiesta. You won't be disappointed going to Morries. A must try.

Morrie’s is our favorite date night restaurant ever. We’ve been here many, many times and have never been disappointed. The staff goes above and beyond, they all know the menu items extensively and have the best recommendations. The ambiance is comfortable, clean, and relaxing. Even the bathrooms are immaculate! My only complaint is I wish they changed their menu more often and had new items. I also miss the regular filet mignon steak instead of the bacon-wrapped version. We've ordered just about everything on the menu at this point and have enjoyed it all. We’ve brought our young kids with us before and they were very friendly and accommodating about it. We’ve gone on double-dates here and our friends were also super impressed as well. We always recommend Morrie’s to our friends and family and speak highly of their service. We also think it’s hilarious that my name is Corrie Richards and the owner’s name is Morrie Richards (we’re not related, haha)

This is honestly the best steak I’ve ever had! Ben was the best server. Great recommendations that made New Years dinner one for the books. The staff was super friendly and the food out of this world. Will definitely be back even though I live 20 hrs away. Hats off to this great locally owned establishment.

I loved our experience here. Food was great. We ordered Byson; it was juicy and tender, Salmon was phenomenal, pork chops were delicious and tender as well. Thank you William for everything you did. Super appreciate it!

Beautiful fine dining, amazing steak, extensive drink menu, all-around awesome experience. The chic romantic interior is the perfect ambiance for a date night. I came for the steak, and i was not disappointed. This was one of the best steaks I’ve had in my life - juicy, tender, buttery goodness cooked to perfection. I had the Zabuton steak. We also had the Chilean sea bass which was exceptional. It was melt in your mouth amazing. We also started with the “bacon” (??) appetizer. Similar to a pork chop or burnt ends at a bbq joint, this was definitely one of the highlights of the meal, and it was only the app! The only downfall was that my sweet potatoe side dish was underdone - they were a bit “crunchy” and seemed to need a few more minutes cooking. All in all, this was exceptional dining and I can’t wait to go back. Well worth the price.

What a great dining experience! A very unique selection of steaks and drinks as well. The Rockefeller oysters were scrumptious. The steaks were prepared perfection, even something as delicate as the wagyu tomahawk. Even the sides were worth mentioning as on point.

I’m a steak-aholic and in all my traveling I have never had a better steak in my life. Both the wagyu and bacon fillet just melt in the mouth with the perfect seasoning. Can’t wait to be back again.

This place never disappoints! The food and service is always on point. I highly recommend asking for a side of chimichurri butter. It's a herbaceous flavor explosion that is really good on steak or anything for that matter. I also highly recommend trying the chicken wild rice soup. It's perfect comfort food that beats expectations.

The food was incredible! It felt like being transported to another time with the music and atmosphere. Truly exceptional! The best part was the service. I am confident that she was the most attentive and informative server I have ever had in any dining experience. We will certainly be back!

I have eaten here 3 times and have never found anything that I like. The servers have been nice, the food was prepared as described, and it is clean. I like that they use local farmers and producers for their food. If you enjoy a well cooked steak, this place could be right for you. Update: the chicken wild rice soup and cheesecake is fantastic.

Morrie's gets 5 stars across the board. This is what a restaurant should be. The food was amazing, but I'll get to that in a minute. The menu was filled with locally sourced dishes supporting South Dakota businesses. From locally raised grass fed and finished beef to a gorgeous plate specifically for the 100 layer lasagna made by Sioux Falls artist Sonja Gloria Pottery, Morrie's is the epitome of a farm to table experience. We started with oysters, which were cooked to absolute perfection, and my drink of choice was an espresso Martini. The Martini was just the right blend of coffee and alcohol, neither flavor overwhelming the other. Then our steaks arrived, and we experienced the most delicious steak I've ever eaten. I ordered the ribeye with asparagus, and my son had the bacon wrapped filet mignon with carrots. Though it was too much food, I didn't realize the shareable side was so large, we also had Lobster mashed potatoes! We were both too full from our steaks to eat the mashed potatoes, but nibbles were an explosion of flavor, and the Lobster was perfection. Get them. Even if you just take them home. Get them. Both steaks were cooked exactly as ordered, medium rare, and were tender, juicy, and full of mouth-watering flavor! The locally sourced vegetables were fresh and delicious. The service was on point. Lori was our server and was attentive but not overbearing, showing up at exactly the right times for refills or the next course. Juggling the right balance of being available, friendly, and attentive while also giving us the space to enjoy our meal can be challenging, but Lori was masterful. There is not a single thing I would change about our dining experience at Morrie's and I can unequivocally recommend them as the best meal I've had in Sioux Falls and one of the top five of all dining experiences.

If you’re in Sioux Falls, eat here! I enjoyed a memorable dinner at Morrie’s while in Sioux Falls on business. The Pecan Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon was among the best filets mignon I’ve ever had—incredibly flavorful and cooked (rare) perfectly. The batter preparation on the Bronzed Walleye was done really well. My colleagues ordered a variety of steaks and also the Osso Bucco, and all reported their dishes were excellent. The bone marrow appetizer was very fun to try. Lobster mashed potatoes were delicious. The table service was very good—I’m sorry I don’t recall the waiter’s name to give him credit. We finished with a wine flight and desserts pairing that was scrumptious! Crème Brûlée with a 40-year-old Port. Wow! The custard-filled crêpe was delectable. There was more...too much to mention...all delicious!

Wow! Everything about Morris’s was top-notch, definitely one of my best dining experiences. Our server, Erin, made excellent recommendations and was attentive but not overly. She understands exactly what makes a fine dining experience. The Bacon Slab was a delicious combination of bacon and grits and my Bourbon Smash was uniquely crafted with raspberries and hit the spot! I’ll dine there every time I’m in Sioux Falls❤️

Excellent service, tasty drinks, great food. It's expensive, but it really is good! The 5.5 oz Japanese Wagyu Appetizer for $150 was delicious. I found the putine appetizer to be surprisingly spicy, and it was diced potatoes instead of french fries. Not an appetizer I would get again. The French onion soup was superb, and the crab cakes are the best in town. Loved my Mai Tai! Our server Shandon was just great. A five star experience!

We got in the lounge on valentines Day, and our server was excellent. Great suggestions, the American wagyu tomahawk steak was delicious. The poutine with duck fat fried potatoes was delicious. The bread pudding was just okay. The burbon butter sauce kind of just tastes like way too much sugar.

Morrie's Steakhouse is a fabulous place to dine, whether you're there for a quiet evening with your significant other, or enjoying a few drinks at the bar and entrees with friends or colleagues. From the dark, warm tones on the wall, the fireplace lit in the background while light jazz plays in the background, everything feels cozy and inviting. While the prices are higher than most locations around Sioux Falls, the atmosphere and quality is far above them. As for the food, the selection of steak is exquisite, with various extras to suit all palates. The seafood, salad and poultry options also amaze. Make sure to leave food for a night cap and dessert! I'd highly recommend Morrie's to anyone looking for a great night out with fantastic food!

Starting out your experience here, the decor and lighting in the restaurant is perfect. Whether you are there for a business dinner, date or family and friends get together it's themed and feels perfect. With a seperate room for larger gatherings, intimate two seater tables and medium sized group seating it seems you will be good no matter what you come with (It also seems like they have a bit of bar seating on the other side). The staff is very friendly to round out your experience before your food. They love to give suggestions on the menu and all seem well acquainted with the food and beverages. Our waiter Will was very friendly and was happy to accommodate our group in many ways. But you are coming here for two things most likely. The wine, and the food. Their sommelier stocked and managed wine room has options for any occasion and food pairing. Just ask and you will be recommended to countless choices by people who really know their wine. The food is also perfectly picked and menu'd out. While yes you are in a upper class restaurant, you will find some options around the $20-30 range as well as the prime cuts of meat you see up in the $70. From vegetarian, fish, poultry and the stars of the menu beef cuts I can't imagine anyone walking away not able to find their desired dish. Look up online at their website to see their great menu choices. I had gone for the "Chocolate Chipotle Chili" and then their "Duroc Bone In Pork Chop". The chili was great, a nice subtle taste of sweet/bitter dark chocolate with a non-overpowering kick from the chipotle spiciness. Perfect serving portion for a starting dish if you want to go a non-salad route. The pork dish I had was great as well. Honestly a bit overcooked, but the sauces I had on it were a nice balance to that slight disappointment (as well as the great rice and carrot sides served with it). I feel like I need to give the pork chop another chance on a future visit, but there is so much more on that menu I want to try. The skinny of it is, if you want a nice upscale atmosphere for a night out dinner. You won't leave here unsatisfied.

We had the oysters rockefeller, delmonico cut ribeye, and the wagyu zabuton. Absolutely delicious food. One of, if not the best steaks I have gad the pleasure of eating. Great atmosphere. Was a great place for date night with the wife. Definitely recommend.

I took a friend to Morries Steakhouse for his birthday dinner. We were greeted by 3 staff and they introduced our server Shirlley We were seated promptly and asked if we wanted anything to drink and we both got coffee. Our server gave us our menu and we were asked of there were anything special we were celebrating and said it was his birthday and she was delighted to be our server. We chose the NY STRIP steak and I had mushrooms and onions and roasted root vegetables he had garlic mashed potatoes. The wait wasn't to long and the room was nice, low lit and the chairs were leather and the table setting was eloquent. While we waited we got our coffee and a small loaf of bread with a small bowl of butter. They brought out our dinner and we found that it was cooked to perfection to our favorite level of doneness. It was just perfect for his birthday I even tipped the cook for the job well done

Morrie’s Steakhouse is truly a special place for us, and a big reason is the incredible hospitality. We only visit once a year on New Year’s Eve, but we’ve kept this tradition for the past decade. For a couple that doesn’t come in often, it’s amazing that the manager, Anastasia, greets us by name every single time we arrive. Anastasia is the definition of perfect hospitality—warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. You can immediately tell that the hosts who work with her admire and respect her; the way she treats both guests and staff sets the tone for the entire experience. The food and atmosphere are always outstanding, but it’s the personal touch and consistency year after year that keep us coming back. Morrie’s wouldn’t feel the same without Anastasia. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable, top-tier dining experience.

It was great! I went to celebrate my birthday and a date night. The bone marrow tartare is delicious. We had the Denver and Sirloin Bavette, both were great. The staff is always top notch, Jen was our server and really made us feel at home.

We visit Sioux Falls on business every eight weeks and Morrie's Steakhouse is our non-negotiable stop every single time. Even among the city's many great restaurants, this is our clear favorite. The service is consistently perfect and the food and atmosphere never miss the mark. The beef is amazing and I highly recommend the french onion soup and saving room for carrot cake!

My wife and I visited Maurice’s about a week past our birthdays and they decided to honor our birthdays and they were amazing. They actually brought my wife flowers as well as gave us both free dessert. They also gave us both a free drink from their bar. I highly recommend this for a birthday as well as a date night decision. And the service was also amazing, very professional, but also very personable.

We did not have steak so take this with a grain of salt. The service was super slow. The 100 layer lasagna was a real treat. It was absolutely delicious and melted in our mouths. A meat sauce on top versus marinara would have made it even better. The bronzed walleye pieces were basically fried walleye cheek nuggets that were very tender and tasty but needed a pinch of salt. The Brussels sprouts were sweet, savory and a bit spicy. Yummy. A word of caution regarding the 6oz bacon wrapped filet. While we did not order it, the two gentlemen sitting next to us did and both were quite disappointed. It was tiny and unsatisfying. It looked like a puck in a hockey rink sitting on that big plate with nothing else. Overall, I’d say Morrie’s is worth a try as long as you are not in a hurry.

My wife and I ate here recently for our anniversary and we were pretty happy with everything we experienced that night. We were seated next to a very large group, but we were still able to enjoy our meal and have a conversation. The restaurant seems a little outdated, and small things could be changed to improve the vibes and atmosphere. There was a stain on our tablecloth, and some of the lightbulbs were different colors in the chandelier. These things obviously don’t impact the food, but we could not help but notice. The whole dinner took around 2 hours but did not even notice the wait as we were having fun. Our server was kind and attentive, multiple people wished us a happy anniversary, our water cups were always full, our empty plates were taken away promptly and they even lit us a candle in our dessert. Our food was very good, but small things could have been improved to earn 5 stars. My wife’s steak was slightly overdone, and the bacon on my bacon wrapped fillet was very fatty and not cooked as much as I think it should have been. The leaves of my wife’s salad were wilted and not very crisp. Everything else, especially the quality of my actual steak, was fantastic. They included a free dessert for our anniversary which was very nice. Although not a perfect dining experience, it was very good and we were not disappointed. There are not many fancy dining options for special occasions in Sioux Falls, but we enjoyed our meal here, and we are happy we went. We will be coming back again!

I came in a Tuesday night and the parking lot was quite full but I was able to get a booth in the lounge without waiting. They have 2 sides of the restaurant, the dining room and the lounge the lounge has several booths and a bar. There was a bit of a wait until the waitress came so I already decided what to order and ordered my meal at the same time as my drink. It was a whole before I got bread, the booth next to me who sat and ordered after me had their appetizer and bread before I got bread. They maybe because I ordered water and no appetizer. The bread was worth the wait, when it came, it was warm and fluffy and delicious. I got the Denver cut steak with a side of brussel sprouts and walnuts. The steak was cooked perfectly and delicious. The brussel sprouts at the top of the fish were good but at the bottom, they were soaked with sauce and I couldn't finish them. My water ran out and I waited a while until I finally went up to the bar to get more water. The server was friendly but maybe they were short staffed. She did refill my water when she brought the bill. Plan for a leisurely meal if you dine here. I was alone (had a craving for steak) so would have appreciated speedier service.

A wonderful dinner with exceptional service. The steak arrived exactly as ordered and the atmosphere made the night feel special. I appreciated how attentive the staff was.

j

Waitress was awesome. Cocktails were spot on. We should have known not to order the special so late in the evening. The steak was a lower quality full of fat and gristle. Our lobster tail was dried out and burnt on top. Just not the quality we were expecting.

H
Halcius

Very upscale seeming place, very nice staff, ordered a waygu new York strip, and was a less than impressed, for 68 dollars I expected a little more tender steak with atleast a little bit of salt. Beautiful plating on half of it, but if you get steak or fish the plating seems thrown together. All and all not a bad dinner, but the price was a little high for the quality of the food

P
Pauli Roterdam

I’ve been here many times and every time they don’t have the wine from the wine list. Takes nearly 20 minutes to order a drink because they have to go back and check. It would be nice if they cared more and bout my time and experience making sure they were respectful and ready to serve but they DONT! Being prepared for service is everything! The food is mediocre and they got rid of the best steak they had the A5 wagu. The GM has no sense of humility or truth always hiding the truth in her words. I walked out and won’t be back. They need to make better sides because they all are terrible and get a real Gam that actually cares and puts in the effort so guests can have a good experience.
