Opiniones de Cenaduría Chachis Soledad
Just stopped in for some pastries to go but even then the gentleman who helped us, sorry I didn't get his name, was very attentive and kind. We got the chocolate conchla which was a little hard to eat once it got melty from being outside(my fault) and the pistachio cornbread was also excellent
We had a wonderful dinner here for my mom’s birthday, and it was an amazing experience. From the moment we arrived, Rebecca greeted us with such warmth and kindness. The waitress, busser, and bartender all provided excellent service throughout the evening. The food was delicious, and even though we don’t typically eat much spicy food, we still enjoyed trying different dishes. The corn esquites were our favorite! We’re coming back next week for more!
My visitors from elsewhere now share my enthusiasm for this restaurant. I found meal perfection at Soledad. The moment we entered, a friendly employee met us at the door. I would return - the setting was serene and service was great. Nice effort! Returning shortly!
totally concur with all the great reviews. some of the tastiest tacos i have ever had. had a quick lunch.. very very nice pleasant people and atmostphere. food was a WOW... will be back soon
Loved my time at Soledad! Was served by Isabella at the bar - phenomenal customer service and my drinks were yumm! Will be returning with friends!
Fantastic place, cannot recommend higher. It quickly became our favorite place in the neighborhood. Get the Carnitas Crispy Rice and a spicy margarita. Best margaritas I have had in my life
I’ve been for brunch and happy hour and both are fantastic. The mole shakshuka is unique and delicious. The lobster birria tacos are similarly great. Fun cocktails too.
Outstanding! Beautiful cocktails; creative, delicious menu; warm atmosphere; friendly staff.
Had the best time here. Drinks were fun and refreshing. The food was exciting and so delicious
Menu offerings varied and unique. Food was delicious and well-balanced! Portion sizes were good. Can't wait to return!
They were able to squeeze us in without a reservation on a Saturday night- very kind. The food was exceptional!
The ambiance was incredible and definitely amazing for a wonderful date night outing. I had the red sangria that was wonderful, and the lomo saltado. My husband had the duck mole and really enjoyed it. We had guac and two servings of home made chips. It was delicious and wonderful. 10/10 would recommend and return. Muchas gracias a todos allí.
My favorite area restaurant. Amazing food, welcoming staff, good drinks. Excellent choice when you want a more elevated Mexican dining experience that still feels authentic. Highly recommend!
Absolutely thrilled with my experience at Soledad! 😊 The efficient service managed to squeeze us in for dinner even when the restaurant was fully booked. The guacamole is to die for and sets the bar high for the rest of the meal. Opted for the Noodles with Shrimp Entrée and wasn't disappointed. The ambiance is cozy and the service is top-notch. Bravo indeed! A must-visit spot for a delightful evening in the Upper East Side." 🌮🥑🌟
The atmosphere is so chic!! Mexican with a touch of rose, perfect for a date or to catch up with friends the bar is gorgeous I wouldn’t mind having a drink on my own, the food is authentic as a Mexican this is key, great birria with amazing hot sauce to add to your liking the drinks were Great a vast variety of tequila, the staff is very attentive and friendly parking was also super easy.
A Mexi-Peruvian influenced restaurant. The presentation may not be insta friendly but who cares? The taste is another level. The short rib tacos were everything you think a taco should be while the carnitas estilo Michoacán deliver a perfect balance of savory and spicy. The Tiradito De Atun, an incredible combination of Peruvian ceviche with sushi style plating. Prices are up there. For a foodie? They are worth it.
Soledad is such a vibe! The space is beautiful and cozy, and the food is packed with flavor. The lobster birria tacos were amazing, and the margaritas are some of the best I’ve had in the city. Staff is super friendly and the whole experience feels special but still relaxed. Definitely a spot I’d go back to!
From the moment I stepped into Soledad, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of elegance and warmth. The modern, yet authentically Mexican decor sets the tone for an exquisite dining experience. The service was impeccable, with staff who were attentive, knowledgeable, and eager to make our evening special. The highlight of the evening was, without a doubt, the margarita. Crafted with precision and passion, it was the perfect balance of tangy lime, smooth tequila, and just the right amount of sweetness. It was, quite simply, the best margarita I’ve ever had – refreshing, flavorful, and served with a flair that elevated it to an art form. The food was equally impressive. Each dish was a masterpiece, blending traditional Mexican flavors with upscale presentation. From the rich, savory mole to the delicate, melt-in-your-mouth tacos, every bite was a testament to the chef’s skill and creativity. Soledad is more than just a restaurant; it’s a journey through the vibrant tastes of Mexico, reimagined with sophistication and style. If you’re looking for an upscale Mexican dining experience with the best margarita ever, look no further. This place is a true gem and worth every star in this glowing review.
The night was perfection as they say from soup to nuts. Every dish excelled from presentation to taste. Will be going back soon!
Stopped here on a Sunday evening for dinner. Hostess was very accommodating and server was extremely pleasant and attentive. We shared the braised short rib tacos, crispy shrimp tacos (our favorite), and meatballs. Everything was plated nicely and tasted delicious. Sangria was also tasty! My only negative comment is that the side of rice we ordered was either undercooked or not freshly cooked. Overall great experience!
What an incredible dining experience! From the moment we sat down, everything about this restaurant felt warm, welcoming, and thoughtfully curated. The food was absolutely amazing — every dish that came to the table was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. You can truly tell that a lot of care goes into both the quality of the ingredients and the presentation. It felt like every plate was crafted with attention to detail. Beyond the food, the service made the experience even more special. Our server Pablo was outstanding — attentive, friendly, and professional. He made sure we were comfortable the entire time and gave great recommendations. Nicolas, the runner, was efficient and kind, making sure everything arrived promptly and checking in with a smile. And a special thank you to the Manager, Rebeca, who was incredibly lovely and welcoming. She took the time to make us feel valued and ensured everything was perfect for our table. It’s rare to find a place that delivers both exceptional food and such genuine hospitality, but this restaurant truly does. We left happy, satisfied, and already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommended! 🌟
We had a great meal at Soledad last night. We had a reservation for four, and were seated promptly at wonderful table at the front windows. Rafael took great care of us, considering he was also tending to a rather large group sitting on the other side of the door. Modelos were fresh. Drinks and cocktails were delicious, but took a while to make their way from the bar. We had the Carnitas Sushi to start. Then the ladies both got the Loma Saltido, while I had the Carne Asasa, and my friend ordered the Pato Mole. All dishes were so delicious and different from most other Latin fare that we’ve enjoyed. The desserts were also top-tier- churro sundae and Zanahoria (Carrot) Tres Leches Cake. I highly recommend this place for an elevated date spot- prices weren’t cheap (just under $100/pp) but the food and drink were memorable, and the female manager who stopped by our table was so hospitable and invited us back with our dogs to sit out front. All four of us can’t wait to return!
I’ve been to Soledad a few times, twice for brunch and once for dinner. The food is beyond delicious and presented really well. The service is always friendly and the whole place has such a nice vibe. I’ll be back many more times!
We went to Soledad last night for the first time. We enjoyed the food, but especially the drinks. It's a great place to have a date. Rebeca and Carla were super friendly and made our experience even better.
We were very happy to find this place open for breakfast at 8am! From the quality of the food to atmosphere, we loved it all. The chilaquiles had the perfect crisp and the desserts are so good. Highly recommend the corn pistachio cake and the blueberry concha. I also drink my coffee black and love that their coffee is not too strong. We will be back!
We came here for breakfast and it was sooo good! My boy friend had the Mole Shakshuka and it was amazing! So well spiced 😍 I had fish tocos which were also delicious. For drinks I had the dolce de Leche latte and my boyfriend had the cafe de olla both were delicious and not too sweet. Will definitely be coming back here again! What a wonderful find. Also the decorations are super cute and the service was excellent. Very clean place as well
Great mexican restaurant for brunch. Loved the cappuccino and food was delicious. We also tried their mango margarita it was so good. I will come back . Highly recommend. We didnt make the reservation but i sat with my kids on the bar and i am happy with the service.
We stopped into Soledad to grab dinner, and had a lovely experience! To start, we had the guacamole. For our mains, we split the shrimp and short rib record which were both fantastic. For dessert, we rounded out the meal with the churro sundae which was also impeccable. Would highly recommend this spot!
A delicious new spot! The ambiance is beautiful & we enjoyed the food & fresh juice — the Soledad Verde is a must try. The Ensalada Picata is fresh & has a delicious balsamic vinaigrette. My husband tried the smashburger and loved it, juicy & cooked just right. We rounded out the meal with the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake 👌🏻 We are excited to come back and try more dishes!
The new lunch menu Is really good! The burritos are very large and delicious. The tacos are quite small but tasty. The service is always friendly but it's slow because there's usually only one server who also acts as bartender and host too during lunch time. I've never seen it very busy yet. They charge a $25 hold for a reservation, which probably makes a lot of people not want to go because they think the place is going to be extremely high demand or fancy. This is a nice casual neighborhood restaurant and I think that if they took that off their website they would have a lot more business.
Service is impeccable, seamless, and well oiled. They are the rockstars!!! You can feel the warmth as soon as you step in. Hospitality at its finest. Thank you for a memorable and flavorful evening! Specialty cocktails were well balanced and strong, providing a fresh mix of tropical ingredients. The cuisine was authentic, vibrant, full of flavors, and elegantly executed. Mexican food in all its splendor. (Sorry, we couldn't wait to attack the dishes before snapping pictures)
I highly recommend Soledad! All of the staff members were so kind and attentive and the restaurant has a very cozy and beautiful aesthetic and the food was delicious! I ordered the Chicken Enchiladas which had true and authentic Mexican flavors. It felt like I was eating my mother’s food and it gave me a sense of nostalgia. My spouse ordered the Chile Relleno which is also highly recommended! For dessert we ordered the carrot cake with tres leches which had a beautiful presentation and was flavorful and moist. We had an exceptionally positive experience and we will definitely be back!
Went for dinner in a mostly vegetarian group. Chile rellenos was great, as were drinks and sides
Perfect family dinner. Portions are on the larger side especially for the value.. especially for NYC. The presentation is perfect. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a family dinner or a date. It spotless/ very clean interior. You can see the staff is happy and very caring. Amazing Service. We will definitely visit again. We ate too fast to even remember to take any photos. Will definitely visit again
Beautiful atmosphere with incredible service. This was the best meal we’ve had in a long long time. Boyfriend said “wow” after every bite of everything. Photos: La Chica (cocktail), Duck Mole, Carne Asada Not photographed because they were too good to wait: shrimp tacos, guac and chips, churro sundae

Loved everything about this place, the staff was so welcoming especially Celina!! She was genuinely the best part of the experience. On a scale of 1-9 I'd go back there soon just for her!

This is one of those places where you have a favorite dish but it pains you to order it because the rest of the menu looks spectacular. The food is fantastic here, and great value. Staff is attentive and professional. Great blend of cafe/brunch options and full featured entrees for lunch/dinner.

Great service and beautiful ambiance. Easy to make a reservation. Only issue I had was the lomo saltado meat was pretty fatty, unlike how I have had at other restaurants like Llama Inn. Felt kinda cheap considering the price.
Came here for a few weeks ago and loved it! I think it's relatively new to the area but I would definitely come back again! For a Tuesday evening it was pretty lively which bodes well for its popularity I think. Despite being busy, the service was efficient and staff members were friendly! We tried a few different items including the tuna tartar tacos, ensalada de verano, enchiladas soledad, pato con mole (duck carnitas), and pasta seca. I have to say the tacos and enchiladas were my favorite but there's so much more on the menu we didn't get to try. For a group of 5 people this was a good amount of food though I'm sure we could have finished another entree if we tried. Will definitely return in the future!
Despite being a NY’er I'm not unclear on the value of a dollar. Soledad will require many dollars, are you ready? There are creative mezcal and tequila cocktails, some better than others. Our favorite of the four we ordered was the Soledad with fig puree- @ $20/ea about market rate. For apps we had the mushroom tamal $16 (with a singular, lonely piece of maitake shroom- I mean come on) and 4 tuna taquitos (“ito” means tiny and these fulfill that) at a whopping $30. Both tasty, I very much enjoyed the red sauce and texture of the tamal. We ordered carne asada and lomo saltado for entrees. At $42 for the carne I’d say there’s nothing here exceptional to justify. But the lomo saltado was a delightful blend of short ribs, rice, veggies and shoestring fries that made every bite inspire the kind eating that finishes a plate all too soon. Churro sunday for dessert, shared for 2 was OK. Service was friendly, helpful and not too pushy. Water refresh could have been more on point. Is it worth $300 for 2 people? Indulgent dining experiences are abundant in NYC and it seems very few restaurants position themselves on value anymore. Doesn’t it make more sense to turn your locals into repeat clients rather than tourists?
Modern Mexican restaurant with great interior design. I got an iced cafe de olla latte, the carnitas, and the hibiscus concha with blueberry cream. The menu is super interesting with very unique dishes. The food was pretty good, especially the carnitas. Spectacularly tender and the dish was light and balanced with pickled cucumbers and lettuce to wrap. However, the latte was disappointing. There was no orange and canela flavor to it and it was very watery.

It almost pains me to write this review but the food in this place is rubbish. I've been meaning to go to this place since I saw it was under construction and replaced the prior spot (I think it was a French Bistro), it looked really cute and I was pretty excited but I don't know if I caught the chef on a bad day but everything that could go wrong with the meal went wrong. I ordered the Milanesa (attached photo) which is a chicken dish with a poached egg on top with a side of the cheesy rice (think a bit like risotto). The chicken was overcooked and dry and unfortunately the poached egg couldn't help it because that too was overcooked, the yolk was completely cooked through. There was basically no seasoning, I needed to add both hot sauce, salt and pepper to make the dish somewhat edible. The best thing on the plate was the side of greens. The cheesy rice was just a solid glop of rice, also not enough seasoning/salt, just bland cheesy glop. The friend I had dinner with ordered the Enchiladas Soledad. The salsa verde on top was somewhat decent, but once again the chicken was dry and definitely not worth the price for the dish at $28. The venue is cute, the service was good and I cannot comment on the drinks because we didn't have any so I must assume most of the reviews for this place has to be for ambience and cocktails because I have never been more disappointed in a meal than the one I had at this restaurant. If I come back it would strictly be for drinks, hopefully that is at least good though also likely overpriced.
Shrimp and fish tacos were great. We also got an assortment of pastries which went great with coffee. Upon receiving the check, we asked about the healthcare discount which was advertised outside. The server told us M-F ONLY, and pointed at the sign. I didn’t think too much of it and after paying went outside to look at the sign. No where did that sign mention M-F ONLY. Something about advertising to value health care workers but not honoring that and the way the waiter pointed at the sign like I clearly missed something even though he was wrong that rubbed me the wrong way.
I expected better from Julian Medina. GRADE PENDING is what they have. I’m scared to look up the violations … hope it is not for food sanitary reasons but I’m only ordering a margarita. Person is folding napkins while talking to his friend on speaker phone.- annoying. Took forever to get a margarita. No one in restaurant and while I understand they are changing shifts the place is still open. It’s so close to my house. Wish I had better experience
