Spent a few hours at this FANTASTIC restaurant on our last night in Spoleto. We have eating well here in Spoleto but this was hands down the best night we had. The food, the company and the atmosphere were fantastic. However, the ciliegina sulla torta was Christian, Roberta and the rest of the folks at Il Panciolle! The treated us come se fossimo una famiglia. We laughed, and ate and drank and laughed. The food was superb. We ate family style across the table. Our party of four had the Fantasia di bruschetta (2 orders), Roasted vegetables , and Gnocchi with wild Boar sauce for the Primi. For the Secondi we had the Spoletina, Linguine ai crostacei, Gamberoni Argentini and another order of the Gnocchi (becuase it was THAT good). A Bottle of Pomotino, and a few extra glasses of the Bianco and Rosso della casa. Ended the night with more laughter a round of caffè, and some Grappo. Highly recommend Il Panciolle to both locals and out of town visitors.

Sono stata un week end a Spoleto e, prenotando in netto ritardo, ho avuto la fortuna di trovare una stanza libera in questo hotel. Da rivedere e ristrutturare le camere ma devo dire che i letti erano comodissimi e la stanza pulita. Colazione senza troppe pretese, cena al ristorante ottima. Un elogio particolare è d'obbligo per Marco, definirlo cameriere è troppo riduttivo. L'unico che ha servito le tagliatelle a mia figlia di 4 anni e che ha avuto la delicatezza di tagliarle, una persona educata, gentile e di una disponibilità infinita. La posizione? In pieno centro a 2 passi dal Duomo e dalla Rocca, è possibile arrivare con la macchina e parcheggiare in Ztl grazie al permesso fornito dall'albergo.

Location molto bella, con ampia terrazza che affaccia sui comignoli di Spoleto. Piatti tipici molto buoni e prezzi ottimi. Eccessivi i tempi di attesa (quaranta minuti per i primi e neanche 2 minuti per gli antipasti, un equilibrio sarebbe più gradito). Ottimo lo sconto su the fork

Capitata per caso con mio figlio siamo stati accolti con professionalità e cordialità. Piatti tipici della tradizione fantastici ma un plauso va ai fiori di zucca ripieni di 'nduja!!!! Abbiamo pranzato sulla terrazza con un panorama mozzafiato. Grazie torneremo sicuramente.

While strolling through the historic center of Spoleto around lunchtime, we stumbled upon this restaurant. The restaurant is very unique and rustic, with a fireplace always lit at the entrance, giving off that characteristic smell of burning wood, immediately making you want to order something grilled. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and wait times are regular. The panoramic terrace offers views of half of Spoleto and the entire valley below. The menu offers a wide selection of traditional Umbrian cuisine and more traditional fare (such as carbonara, etc.), with a selection of quality products.

I went for lunch. Beautiful place with a stunning view of the city. Excellent service and excellent charcuterie and cheese platter. The only flaw was that the grilled meat could have been cooked a little less. The price was more than fair.

A friendly place with good food at relatively low prices. We stayed at the hotel of the same name and ate several meals at the restaurant, including lunch and dinner. The atmosphere is nice in the cellar and better still on the veranda, which offers a beautiful view to the west over the new city and hills beyond. The food and service are not refined, but generally were good. The strangozzi Spoleto style was simple and delicious. Pappardelle with boar ragú was very tasty. My pork shank was excellent. They offer some meats cooked over an open fire but did not have the steak florentine available when we tried to order it. If you let them know in advance they will get it. The mixed grill was only ok, with some items cooked beyond tender. There are some excellent Montefalco red wines available at low prices, among other selections. The house red wine is fine. The caffe was good.

Booked two nights. We arrived with bicycles and dog and the lady who welcomed us was the only kind and professional figure. Clean rooms quiet even if you are in the center. Dinner not appropriate to the price and poor breakfast we had to ask to have something. The place is worth a lot shame about the staff (except the lady who welcomed us), zero professionalism

Il Panciolle is a 2-star hotel, with also a restaurant, located in an excellent position, very close to Spoleto's Cathedral square. The room we were given for our 2-night staying, Mimosa, was unexpectedly large for such hotel category, but unfortunately the positive remarks for Il Panciolle end here: the level of cleanliness of the room was rather poor, with large humidity spots on the ceiling, with pieces of painting falling on the floor, the main light in the room broke and was not fixed notwithstanding we promptly reported it. Moreover the room was not cleaned on our second day, although it must be said that, because of such shortcoming, the hotel offered a 12.5% discount at check out. Breakfast was basic but served on a very nice terrace overlooking the hills around Spoleto. All in all, our staying was not satisfactory and would not recommend it.

Abbiamo prenotato il cenone del 31 dicembre, essendo in vacanza a Spoleto con una bimba di pochi mesi. PREMESSA: il personale è stato più che gentile, ci ha riservato un posto lontano dal caos per la bimba e hanno fatto di tutto per metterci a nostro agio. Ma signori il cibo.... lo non saprei come definirlo. Saltando gli antipasti che erano "mangiabili" , ci arriva un piatto di pasta allo scoglio che puzzava chiaramente non lo abbiamo toccato e ,nonostante anche altri tavoli non lo avessero mangiato, il personale ha fatto finta di nulla (le nostre facce sconcertate erano palesi). Arriviamo al secondo: "gamberoni "chiaramente congelati avvolti in un mare di pasta katahifi (sempre per mascherarne l'odore) Scocca la mezzanotte... cotechino e lenticchie: il cotechino duro, palesemente preso dalla busta e buttato nel piatto senza farlo bollire ... ma la chicca è questa: uva e dolci. Ragazzi l'uva era malandata!!! Messa nel piatto a chicchi nemmeno a grappoli!!!! Mi dispiace moltissimo fare questa recensione ma non è giusto presentare dei piatti del genere alle persone pensando anche di prenderle in giro !!! Il prezzo "basso" 55€ non deve essere sinonimo di pessima qualità. Vi invito a fare un'esame di coscienza per le prossime volte. Chiaramente essendo un giorno di festa non ci siamo messi a fare questione ma solo per rispetto a tutte le persone che erano li dentro.

Ho trascorso la notte di Capodanno al ristorante di questo albergo, ed è stata una delle peggiori esperienze culinarie mai vissute. Il cenone sembrava più una punizione che una festa: il primo piatto di pesce emanava un odore talmente sgradevole che nessuno ha osato mangiarlo, forse un segnale di avvertimento. I gamberoni, serviti in una presunta "tempura orientale", erano ridotti a una poltiglia dal sapore misterioso, lasciando tutti a chiedersi quale fosse l’ingrediente segreto (spoiler: probabilmente il freezer). L’insalata, invece, merita una menzione speciale: condita con abbondante sale grosso, sembrava più adatta a disgelare un vialetto che a essere servita su un piatto. Alla fine, io e la mia compagna siamo sopravvissuti cenando esclusivamente con il cotechino e le lenticchie, l’unica cosa decente della serata. Mi dispiace solo che non si possano mettere zero stelle: una è comunque un premio immeritato per questa “esperienza”. Un cenone di Capodanno da dimenticare e un ristorante che consiglio solo a chi vuole testare i propri limiti e diventare un vero eroe del coraggio

Sono stato nelle vacanze di Pasqua una settimana.Purtroppo di positivo trovo solo la posizione,la colazione è molto scarsa ci sono qualche fette biscottate , una torta fatta in casa 1 volta sola in tutta la settimana,altrimenti ciambella confezionata,1 volta in settimana 1 cornetto a testa,poca organizzazione

Dopo aver più volte ricordato la presenza di uno spettacolare stinco di maiale che non volevamo, la cameriera ci ha intimato di ordinare tutto subito. Bruschette con "quello che decide lo chef" erano 4 mezze fettine di pane con: una solo olio, una paté indefinito, una con una fetta di pomodoro, una con fetta di melanzana in aceto. Strangozzi ai funghi da barattolo sott'olio, incommentabile. Strangozzi al tartufo con CREMA DI TARTUFO, noci e altri ingredienti non specificati, da denuncia (qualcuno potrebbe essere allergico!). Carne non grigliata: carbonizzata! Patate al forno chiaramente riscaldate. Nemmeno il caffè si è salvato, colato su ogni bordo tazzina e freddo. Assurdo.

Ci ero andato altre volte l’anno passato ed ero rimasto soddisfatto. Purtroppo questa volta ci ho portato un pó di amici (eravamo quasi una ventina) ma siamo rimasti molto delusi. Devo ammettere che non ci ho fatto una bella figura a portarli in questo ristorante. Il mangiare non era male (anche se qualcuno dei miei amici si é lamentato) ma non puoi iniziare con il dire "siete tanti quindi cercate di ordinare le stesse cose" oppure se uno chiede un cambiamento non puoi rispondere con tono fermo e dire che sono in troppi a chiedere variazioni. Poi errori nell'ordinazione, un ragazzo alla fine non ha neanche mangiato!Se gestisci un locale o lo fai per la clientela o altrimenti cucini a casa per i tuoi parenti e amici. La cortesia verso i clienti, soprattutto se sono educati e tranquilli, va prima di ogni altra cosa! Non credo di tornarci.

L’hotel è decisamente datato, la pulizia delle camere è abbastanza accettabile mentre il bagno è in condizioni fatiscenti (scarico del wc nero, maniglia della doccia arrangiata, acqua calda che arriva dopo 15 minuti, contenitori dei saponi arrugginiti…). Abbiamo soggiornato per due notti in una camera fredda perché non riscaldata (meno male che a fatica siamo riusciti a far funzionare una pompa di calore rumorosissima). Inoltre è mancato un cambio di salviette, tenendo conto che sono salviette in cotone che sono rimaste inzuppate tra un giorno e l’altro. Per non parlare del ristorante: locale poco igienico, promiscuità del personale (fumavano all’interno vicino alle cucine), cibo niente di che e pure costoso! Unica nota positiva: la posizione in pieno centro a Spoleto e la dotazione di un pass per parcheggiare in ZTL. Non torneremo.

Tavolata di 14 persone di cui un bambino , conto 430€ , che diviso 14 era di 30€ a persona , il proprietario oltre a essersi rifiutato di farci pagare individualmente per le cose effettivamente consumate , ha considerato il bambino come un adulto nonostante avesse mangiato solo una pasta in bianco e non mi dilungo sulla maleducazione del proprietario ! Servizio pessimo , cibo di scarsa qualità , gatti che saltano sui tavoli , scontrini mai ricevuti …. Pessimo !

Siamo stati a cena il 27 aprile. Servizio inqualificabile: si presentavano al tavolo dicendo "di chi è sto coso". La parmigiana era ancora surgelata, rispedita al mittente. I tagliolini al tartufo erano un mappazzone immangiabile. Per rimediare ci hanno fatto il 50% di sconto di loro iniziativa. Comunque nessuno della cucina si è presentato al tavolo per scusarsi. La vista dalla terrazza su Spoleto è splendida; il ristorante non si può definire tale.

The place wasn't very clean, the restrooms were in a state of disrepair. They served us watered-down pasta with a rather strange-tasting ragù, mozzarella that was way past its sell-by date, and undrinkable white wine. We left practically half of our meal. The service was haphazard, almost inconveniencing anyone who walked in and asked for a table. Prices were high: we paid €65 for an appetizer, a first course, and a second course.
