The food at corkscrew is amazing! I’m not really a bbq person, but even if you aren’t, this is definitely worth trying. Come early right around opening time because they have long lines and start running out of items early in the morning day (like around 1 pm). Although lines can be an hour or longer, the wait is worth it. Servers also come by in the line to take drink orders so you can have a cold drink or beer while waiting. The meats are incredibly tender and fall off the bone, they also have the smoky char. We had the creek stone prime rib beef, 1/4 lb brisket, jalapeño cheese link, and pork ribs. For sides we had Mac and cheese and got peach cobbler for dessert. Warning - parking can be difficult to find. You may have to try lots behind the property
Waited an hour in line. Maybe 20 minutes on food. While waiting in line there is water and saltine crackers. The moist brisket is by far the best I've ever had. Ribs good too. 🍖 The baked beans are spicy. For those who are spicy intolerant like me. The ribs had some spice but I could handle it. If you can stand being in line, it's worth the wait. Really. The people working here are phenomenal and hard working. Thank you Cody and Nicole for the professional service. Definitely eat here!!
Fantastic BBQ. Got 1/2lb of brisket (mixed) and a 1/4lb of garlic sausage. Both were great with the fatty brisket being the star of the show. The sprinkle of fixings, sweet tea, and a killer potato salad sealed the deal for me. Is it the best BBQ in Houston? Maybe. Would I recommend Corkscrew? Absolutely.
Probably the best BBQ I've had. I tasted a little of everything on the menu and I loved it all. My favorite was the brisket and the ribs. The peach cobbler was absolutely amazing! The service here is amazing as well. It has the feel of a BBQ place, but their service is like a sit down restaurant but better. The line is usually out the door, but don't let that turn you away. There's a reason why a lot of people eat here. The folks taking your order treat you like you're family. They have seating inside and out, and the tables outside are covered. Such an awesome place!
Corkscrew BBQ was terrific all the way around, but the brisket is what truly shines. It had that perfect melt-in-your-mouth tenderness with a thick, flavorful bark that BBQ lovers dream about. Every bite was rich, smoky, and balanced without being overly greasy or dry. The jalapeño sausage link was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. Great snap, bold flavor, and just the right amount of heat without overpowering the meat. It stood out as a must-order item. The pork ribs were extremely tender and cooked perfectly, but they were a little lighter on flavor compared to the brisket and sausage. Still enjoyable, just not as memorable as the other meats. The service was second to none, especially for a non–sit-down setting. The staff was friendly, efficient, and made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. Overall, Corkscrew BBQ is absolutely worth the trip. The quality of the food, consistency, and execution put it on par with Terry Black’s. If you’re serious about Texas BBQ, this place deserves a spot on your list.
Outside of my father’s brisket, this is best place I’ve been too for brisket! Don’t know what it’s like on the weekdays but on the weekends, expect to wait in line for quite a while. To butter you up, they serve you drinks while you wait and although, you’re waiting outside in the heat you’re covered on this porch and there are multiple fans to cool you down. The inside of the place is pretty small and packed but once you get to eating, nothing tastes bad! But the brisket is the star that brought you here!
Go early and get a number as theres around 26 numbers available, once you get a number you can come back around 10.30am before the doors open. We had the moist brisket, beef ribs, pork ribs, queso and pico de gallo to share. Firstly the beer ribs are amazing, juicy with a great hit of smoke flavour. Do yourself a favour and pair the beef ribs with doritos chips, pico de gallo and top it with queso and you have the best nacho in a mouthful. The crispy chips and hint of fresh and spice from the pico balances cheesy queso and fatty beef rib like a match made in bbq heaven. The brisket was very good, the pork ribs were also good but I preferred thr beef ribs any day of the week. The peach cobbler was the perfect sweet end to the meal and we left satisfied. The line is intense so definitely go early, we got there at 8.30am on a Saturday and got number 10, so we could walk around and explore.
Corkscrew BBQ is really delicious and the flavor was amazing. The atmosphere was great, and I loved having the option to sit either inside or outside. I would have to say the service was just okay — no one greeted us when we came in, and the cashier didn’t welcome us; he just looked at us and waited for us to order. Other than that, the place has a nice family atmosphere and is overall really awesome.
Corkscrew BBQ is a must-visit for authentic Texas barbecue. The picnic table–style setup sets the perfect laid-back vibe, while the menu delivers on every level — tender, juicy meats, classic sides, and refreshing drinks. We devoured pulled pork, smoked garlic link sausage, brisket, tacos, and mac & cheese — everything was absolutely mouthwatering. The tacos were loaded and soul-satisfying, and the service was relaxed and friendly. Corkscrew is a top pick for your next BBQ feast.
So the food was delicious. I got some brisket, their staple, it was some of the best I've had and I go driving for BBQ 😀. The garlic sausage was also tasty. The pulled pork was nice and smokey and not dry like some places I've been. The Tacos 🌮 were also surprisingly tasty. My wife loved them. Didn't get to the turkey or ribs; I'll have to check those at supper tonight. The peach cobbler was great. It was as good as my grandma's, and she is known for her cobbler, creamy cobbler, and crunchy crust with perfect sugar and cinnamon, maybe a hint of nutmeg, but I'm not positive. Warning: The line is long, so we went there at 11, and it was 12:15 before we got our food. I'm not sure if they run out daily, but the parking was still full when we left. There is overflow parking about a block away, which was $10. We came in a compact car and found a space near the entrance. If I owned the place, I'd put out some 4x4 timbers to mark the spots. It's a gravel lot and everyone parked more than a door width away. I could have parked in several of the spaces between cars but would not have been able to get out. 🤣. I'll be going back again to try some of the other items.
Love the smoked turkey. I have ordered this before at different places. But your restaurant has the best smoked turkey I ever had. It was so moist and tender. I wish I lived here. I am from the Chicago, area visiting family. But I will definitely be back for more. The beans are also amazing.
This is the absolute best BBQ ever. Three of us dined here and here's what we tried, and all of it was the best: BBQ sandwich, pulled pork, loaded baked potato, potato salad, baked beans, side salad, and peach cobbler. (even the soda was different and delicious!) Everyone was pleasant and truly hoping our experience was superb. Anytime I'm visiting Texas I will be eating Corkscrew BBQ. You'll love it. The atmosphere was down home welcome. Catherine Roberts
The Brisket is the crown jewel: slow-smoked for 14 hours, it’s a glistening slab of tender, marbled beef. The bark is dark and crusty, seasoned with just salt, pepper, and smoke, while the inside is so juicy and tender that it pulls apart with the touch of a fork. Each bite melts in your mouth, rich with that deep, smoky flavor that only comes from hours of love and low heat. Next to it, ribs—pork or beef, Both are thick, and sticky—dripping with a love that’s been kissed by smoke and heat. The meat pulls clean from the bone, leaving a pink smoke ring that proves its pedigree. There’s a hint of flavor in the rub, more than enough to keep you coming back for another bite. And if you need a break from the that, there’s always a cold glass of sweet tea or a local beer to wash it all down. This isn’t just food—it’s an experience. The kind that lingers on your tongue and in your memory long after the last bite. Great choice when in the area.

First time here. Ordered 1/4 pound of brisket but got only half that. Still, it was really good and tender. Some of the most moist meat I've ever had. Also ordered a bowl that was really good. My family loved their pulled pork sandwiches. I would try again and get here earlier to order the brisket again. Nice vibe and good people.
I hate to say it, but I think I can make a better plate. The brisket was decent, but the pork ribs were stale. And it's not in comparison to Truth BBQ at Brenham, which was leagues better, but I can make better ribs, if slow cooked with spices for hours then broiled. I did like the apple cobbler. Never had cobbler before, but they're sweet with a layered crunch. I arrived about an hour early to avoid the parking situation I had months ago. It was my first time, but I won't be recommending the ribs. I will however strongly recommend Truth BBQ Brisket and their amazing side dishes like brussel sprouts and corn pudding.
This was our first time trying Corkscrew! We waited roughly 45 min to get our food and go. We also got there as soon as they opened too. We definitely had some mixed reviews on the food! The good: - Coleslaw was delicious! Had a nice creamy texture with an added spicy kick to it! - Baked beans were also very good, they had a nice smoky taste to them and were thick. - Not really a flavor critique, but I enjoyed how many extras they gave you (pickles, jalapeños, bread, onions). The not so good: - Brisket was very juicy, but flavor was incredibly lacking. - Mac and cheese was super plain, I wouldn’t even get it again. - Ribs were just meh, wasn’t anything special about them and were a bit dry. Cheddar Sausage was also pretty basic and nothing memorable. We spent 100 + tax for everything shown in the photos! I wouldn’t return again, as the food is far from impressive but it was nice to try just once.
I was visiting from out of town to try this Michelin star barbecue restaurant and it really did live up to my expectations! I got the ribs, brisket, and mac n cheese. The ribs were well seasoned, and had a little kick to them from the chili flakes. I will say, they could have been a little more tender! On the other hand, the brisket was melt in your mouth soft and deliciously smoky. The barbecue sauce was nice but nothing special. The Mac n cheese was just okay. I prefer a Mac n cheese that has a sharper cheddar, but this tasted a bit flat and more so like an Alfredo Mac. If that’s your vibe, you’d enjoy this one! The biggest issue I had with this place is the LONG, LONG line. We waited for almost two hours to just put our order in. After that, there’s a wait to even get your food. I understand that it’s a popular spot, but they definitely need to update the way they serve customers! For such a long wait, I think you can find a better barbecue spot in Texas.
Great quality food, Great services overall. However, it took way too long. Putting in order took like 5minutes per order. That just puts the whole waiting process even longer. They have a Michellin star. I don't think the food is all that hype but worth going to! Not a place I would go back to. However, worth visiting once.

Delicious bbq! The pork ribs, potato salad, and baked beans were 10 out of 10. Homemade pickle chips were tasty too. Brisket was good, but Pinkerton's is better (only for the Brisket.

The process for lining up before opening is confusing (30 numbers in a binder and then everyone else waits) and no one is available to explain this / the process is barely explained on one inconspicuous piece of paper. We waited about 90 minutes before ordering. After ordering, they call your name but it's difficult to hear inside. A numbering system would be easier. Probably waited 15 mins for our name to be called. The lean brisket was dry. The moist brisket was delicious. The beef rib (only on Saturdays) had very little meat and was mostly fat. The sides were average. The cobbler was delicious and was the best item.
Over rated. Parking is a nightmare and food is average. Lines too long and have to do early or it's sold out.

ribs had a gentle smoky note, mashed potatoes were creamy, salad fresh. Everything worked but stayed ordinary.
Corkscrew BBQ has a great barbecue vibe with nice indoor and outdoor seating, and it holds a Michelin Star rating. However, on this visit, the experience was a bit of a mixed bag, and we found ourselves preferring some of the other spots we'd been to today. The brisket was a little disappointing. It was on the dry and crumbly side, and a bit salty for our taste. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't live up to the high expectations. The real highlight of the meal was the pulled pork. It was evident that it had been cooked low and slow, resulting in a very tender, juicy, and flavorful product. This was easily the best meat we tried and a strong point for the restaurant. The jalapeño and cheddar sausage was pretty standard. It had a typical consistency, but it lacked the coarser, double-ground texture you find in the best homemade sausages, which I personally prefer. We ended up skipping the sides, as nothing on the menu seemed particularly unique or special to complement the barbecue. While we appreciated the venue and the outstanding pulled pork, the brisket and sausage didn't quite hit the mark for us, especially given the restaurant's reputation. Despite its Michelin Star, we enjoyed the overall experience at other barbecue spots more. The pulled pork is definitely worth a try, but the other offerings didn't quite live up to the hype. We visited near the end of the day 3:15pm and they close at 4:00pm. I did not expect a Michelin Star restaurant to be mopping the floor with cleaning agent before close. Not sure I would recommend them without caution.
They use ai slop for their food photos. You can tell the ribs are fake because pigs don't have cross hatch rib bones.
