Pros: huge varied menu, delectable food, wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, lovely atmosphere Cons: not much seating Great place for a variety of tasty meals, from romantic dinner dates to professional lunch with coworkers. They have skewers, bao, ramen, fried rice, gyoza, sake, shochu, okonomiyaki, croquettes, poke bowls, donburi, curry, and even bog standard hibachi, for the less adventurous. I strongly recommend the skewer feast and the bao, but believe me--it's ALL DELICIOUS! The beef bao in particular are melt-in-your-mouth good! Everything is flavorful and well-balanced. They even offer some lunch specials that are a fairly good value, though, aside from a small sign just inside the door they don't really advertise it, and you have to specifically ask for the lunch special. Definitely one of the better restaurants in the area.
2nd time visiting VERY Impressed with food, staff as well as environment. Nice cozy place to enjoy superb food. Avocado salad is phenomenal. Ordered Teriyaki Chicken meal to take home and oh my goodness it is so tasty and huge portion! Thankyou Iza Spring you have gained a lifetime customer! ❤️
This is my first time dining here. The staff is fast, friendly and attentive. The food is wonderfully fresh and served quickly. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and clean. Everything was perfect and the food is delicious!
Everything I ate today was delicious. I had always eaten at JINYA Ramen bar whenever I would be wanting ramen, and seafood related appetizer, but today I have been blown away by Iza Robata. We had one order of the following: baby octopus, creamy tonkotsu ramen, crab croquettes, and soft shell crab bao. Everything was so good. Food was very presentable, fresh, and did I already say delicious ?? Oh yes I did. Also what was crazy was the price. We had all of this for $40. It's amazing. I think for the price, and specially the flavor Iza Robata has gained 2 new customers.
My first time here. Was welcomed as soon as we walked in. Was with a party of 6. Refreshments were ordered and served quickly. Ordered Appetizers. I ordered teriyaki chicken with fried rice and grilled vegetables. So delicious, and good prices too. I will be back. Staff here were on top of everything. Thank-you Chef for a delicious meal.
Had a great friday night dinner at Iza! Came into a restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere and was seated promptly. Ordered a couple beers, takoyaki, and two different ramen: shouyu and creamy tonkatsu. Beers were served in a well frosted mug, takoyaki had plentiful sauce and bonito flake, and most importantly the ramen had plenty of meat and toppings. Loved the addition of meat skewers! Service was quick and thoughtful. Food portions were large, and flavor was great. Looking forward to coming back again.
Starting off with the atmosphere, it is such a relaxed setting! Bonus points for having "Kitchen Nightmares" on the TV. Warm surrounding with small lights. The service was attentive, but not overbearing. We had the 72 hour spicy beef ramen, pan seared gyoza, and steamed edamame. Everything was reasonably priced, especially for its authenticity and flavor profile. Would definitely recommend checking this place out.
Walking up, the door is not where you expect if parking on the storefront of the other shops this is neighboring as it's the side of this restaurant, the door is around the corner in the front. You pass by a nice space with a few tables surrounded by a little gate outside. Walking in, the staff seemingly take turns walking over to the door to greet patrons and guide them to their clean and newly set table to provide full color and descriptive menus and take the drink order. Everyone here was friendly, the place was full, and there was still no excessive wait time for anything. We were checked on intermittently about anything needed, wanted, & regarding the quality of things delivered. They decorated for Spooky Season, and beyond that, there is beautiful decor and murals that make this quaint place very nice to look around and take it all in. There were no pictures of the mural here because all the booths along it were taken, and I didn't want to be rude. We had the Takoyaki, Gyoza, Unagi Don, & Thai Spicy Shrimp Ramen. The gyoza was good, nothing spectacular or unique about it, but nothing to complain about. The takoyaki was delicious enough to repeatedly burn mouths due of impatience to enjoy another bite. Everything came out hot and fresh so that is a definite plus! I did not taste the Unagi Don, but the review on that was that the egg was physically removed from the bowl completely and when asked "they're very sweet and have the consistency of sand". Other than that, it was noted as delicious. The Ramen was amazing and I will definitely be back when the mix for Ramen hits. It was extremely flavorful and filling, the shrimp was cooked perfectly, the lobster balls were a tad overcooked, but still enjoyable, mostly I loved that they advertised it as Spicy and it was spicy. Nothing worse than ordering spicy food and getting bland or unseasoned food. I ate more than my stomach had room for just because it was so good, so I missed out on dessert. Next time, though! I'd say it's definitely worth a visit.
“The overall experience was genuinely commendable. Each dish reflected attentive preparation and a clear commitment to quality, offering flavors that were both vibrant and thoughtfully balanced. The culinary execution demonstrated consistency and care, resulting in a meal that was not only tasteful but truly satisfying from start to finish. This establishment delivers a dining experience that feels both well-crafted and warmly inviting.
had a girls dinner here and was pretty satisfied! i got the tuna tataki (and the slices were pretty generously thick-cut!!) and i LOVED itttttt i also got the pork buns but even though the sauce was good, i felt the meat itself had a slight funky taste to it so i don’t think ill get that again. both my girl friends got ramen though and they both loved it!!
Yummy place!!! Always good, and I always get the ramen. I believe all the different ramen are delicious, but the one that I got was the Tonkostu one! Fried rice is okay but still flavorful, and the chicken katsu and karaage are good!!! And I love the ice cream mochi too; they gave it free for birthday!!
Decided to stop by on a cold afternoon as it seemed like a perfect day for a warm bowl of ramen. It's a nice and cozy spot to grab a bite and surprisingly quiet during lunch hours. The main dish we wanted to try out was the ramen, which did not disappoint. The soup tasted very nice and flavorful with fresh ingredients. Everything was tender and cooked through and just melted in your mouth. Definitely will be back to try out more of the menu.
Great service! Nice dine-in experience and ambiance. The food was very affordable for the quantity. I noted that everyone didn't eat all of their food in one sitting and I think it's because the main dishes seemed a little heavy. I had the crab poke. It was OK. The crab was small but plenty of avocado, cucumber, rice, cherry tomatoes, etc.. Our appetizers were delicious.
Wife and I ate here a few days ago for a Saturday lunch. We had the karaage, okonomiyaki, gyoza, miso ramen, and creamy tonkatsu ramen. Lots of leftovers to take home. Kaarage and okonomiyaki were awesome! Gyoza was gyoza. It was good. The wife really liked the miso ramen which she really liked. I had the creamy tonkatsu ramen which was lackluster. I have to agree with another reviewer about the ramen. "It tasted like seasoned water, with no depth of flavor at all." Like they shorted the stock of bones or cook time. It wasn't really creamy either. Included with it was, pork chashu which was really good, and chicken skewers that were okay. Extremely nice waitstaff who came back to check on us often. But there were only 2 other tables, so it wasn't like they were busy. Would we go back? Maybe, but not sure I would get the ramen. However, I would definitely get the kaarage and okonomiyaki!
As seen in the pictures, I gave this restaurant a try with multiple orders. I had the tonkotsu ramen, potato croquettes, takoyaki, pork belly bao, and three skewers of lamb, chicken, and beef (I forgot to take a picture of those). The takoyaki, bao, and croquettes were okay; I’ve definitely had better around the Spring area. The worst was the ramen. I’ve eaten ramen at many locations, and this was hands down the worst ramen I have had. The problems weren’t with the toppings (although the egg was somewhat overcooked), nor with the noodles, but with the broth, which is essentially the soul of the ramen. It tasted like seasoned water, with no depth of flavor at all. I got the tonkotsu, the most basic ramen. The skewers were also disappointing. They weren’t horrible, but they just tasted boring; there weren’t any spices that wowed you. If you want delicious skewers, I’d recommend Yokushi Robata. Food aside, the service was definitely the cherry on top. The server, Y, was quite unhelpful. When asked if he could tell what was in the crab croquettes, he shrugged, smiled, and said he wasn’t sure because he had never tried them. When I requested if he can go and ask, he just stood still and started guessing that it was probably some cream filling with crab. I was baffled by the level of service at such a nice establishment. My companion and I just looked at each other, and then I decided to order the food and see for myself. Funny enough, this is also the first restaurant that brought out a bowl of ramen without chopsticks; we only had pre-placed forks at the table and had to request a pair of disposable wooden chopsticks. It seems like this is the server first job, he looked young and inexperienced so I wouldn't fault him not knowing certain things, but he was just quite disinterested in being helpful. The ratings of this restaurant are somewhat confusing to me, or maybe I just had bad luck that night. I can’t recommend this restaurant to anyone, knowing that down the street there are much better options.
