I vowed to never go back to this place many years ago due to the treatment by our waiter and a manager who refused to do anything... even after the waiter wrongly accused me and ripped my crutches out from under me and tried to fist fight me in the entrance way ... mind you i was literally standing on one leg.... went back for a family obligation and thoroughly enjoyed myself... the food was spectacular and the hibachi chef was hilarious.... will contemplate going back again as it seems that waiter is long gone and so is the manager

The service was wonderful. The staff was attentive, regularly refilled our beverages, and made our experience seamless. The Hibachi Chef was creative, funny, and our children loved all the entire performance. There was tricks I’ve never seen at other Hibachi places that our chef performed. I highly recommend this establishment

I came here this evening with my mom and our waiter Leo or Leonardo M was such a doll. He was warm yet vibrant and added such a good vibe towards his section. He handed out food with care, nor was he a stickler and rushing us out after we had stayed past 5. I really recommend the restaurant because the food is so good but most of all ask for Leo and give him a fat big tip😁

I came here two days ago for my Jersey Mike’s holiday party, and everything was amazing. The food was excellent, and the customer service was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant for a date night, family night, business event, or even just to grab food and drinks—you won’t be disappointed. Everyone working there was so pleasant and brought great energy. The chefs were incredible and had our entire group laughing. We will definitely be back!

First time here , celebrating my aunts birthday. This place is amazing . The food is so good. If you have allergies they are super careful . The bathrooms are very clean and nice . Our chef was amazing : Guzman!! He was funny and a very good chef. Tonight was very busy and our Waiter was able to keep up with 3-4 hibachis and was running around and still never forgot anything and was on top of things: shout out to our waiter : Jesus . He was amazing and so nice and polite :) Make sure you stay for the ice cream ! Totally worth it :)

We had a wonderful time at Arirang Hibachi restaurant. The food was good and the dessert options were so yummy. Our waiter Steven made us feel very cared for, he was attentive to everything we had asked, needed or said. He was super super sweet! The whole staff cared to ask us about our experience and if we enjoyed our time and how we liked the food. Always came to ask if we needed more or anything else. Steven was the cherry on top!

My fiancée and I come all the time! Best crispy rice spicy tuna around! The fried rice is unbeatable! Even when it’s busy the table wait is never bad. And the portions are incredible. We come and I get a doggy bag for a second snack the next day. Love it there and I’ve been going since I was kid had birthdays from childhood there. Love the restaurant!!

It was our first time visiting the restaurant & got blown away by its welcoming vibe, lively ambience smiling staff plus the most entertaining live cooking presentation. We came to celebrate my birthday. First time trying this hibachi restaurant. The show was entertaining and the chef was funny. The service provided was good. The waiter was attentive and polite. The food was delicious and the portions were big. We couldn’t finish our sets and had to take them away. I was suggested to join their loyalty program and was able to redeem my birthday discount today. It’s an amazing experience dining here. Will definitely come again to try other things on the menu.

Why did we wait so long to return to this gem? Downstairs decor is nicer than upstairs but it’s all about the hibachi show. We loved it and we loved the food too. Ample servings and delicious, even as leftovers! We didn’t have cocktails but they looked awesome. If you are looking for a cool spot to have a fun time, go here. Take the valet parking. Totally worth it.

Absolutely love Arirang, the food is always amazing.. I would recommend trying the Samurai Special for a good deal on a hibachi dinner! Everything was so amazing, especially the fried ice cream! The fried rice is outstanding as always.

Lita was a great server!!! Very attentive to our table and very good at explaining menu options. Also a very fast server, and as for our chef Joe he was very fun and exiting on our hibachi experience. We had so much fun here!!! I came here for my best friends birthday and my husbands first experience on hibachi and overall everything was perfect. The environment is very relaxing and fun, it’s good for friends and family. Everyone is very inviting and nice but let me not just say everything in words here’s some pictures and videos of our amazing experience in this restaurant !!!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Visited this hibachi spot and overall had a really good experience. When we first arrived, they seated us at a very crowded table, which made it hard to enjoy the show or even have a conversation. We asked if they could move us, and thankfully the staff was understanding and quickly found us a much better seat. After that, everything improved. The food was super delicious — fresh, well‑seasoned, and cooked perfectly right in front of us. The chef had great energy, the portions were generous, and there was no wait time at all, which is rare for hibachi. Once we were settled at the new table, the whole experience felt smooth, fun, and worth the visit. Would I come back? Yes, absolutely.

Tasty hibachi, quiet chef Our family had a hibachi dinner at Arirang on Staten Island in August 2025 for a birthday celebration. The food was delicious and well-cooked, with a couple of exceptions. The chicken added as an option to the fried rice was clearly precooked, pulled from some container, and tasted pretty bad. The rice and veggies were somewhat over salted by the excess of soy sauce. Our chef wasn’t very entertaining. He did a couple of standard tricks and focused mainly on cooking, which he very well. However, I’ve seen much better performances at Arirang in the past, and we saw chefs at other tables delivering far more fun. Because of this, I’m giving the place 4 stars. The interior is pleasant, with a warm ambiance that suits both casual dinners and celebrations. Overall, Arirang on Staten Island is certainly a good hibachi restaurant worth visiting. We went for dinner, but we had to wait about 30 minutes to get in. They welcomed us warmly, and the food was delicious. We also went to a birthday party, and we had a lot of fun.

We waited an hour to be seated even though we had a reservation. As we waited, several parties told us this place is not worth it as they exited. Once we got seated it took over twenty minutes just to order drinks. And the drinks took another twenty minutes to come to the table, when we were finally asked if we were ready to order. The food was terrible. Some members of our party were not even given a fork. And the waitress was never to be found. She also forgot that it was my son's birthday. Finally, a different waiter came by and he said they overbooked for the night. And then when I got the check I noticed they gave themselves a 20% tip, which I could not change. We were there for three hours! I will never go here again.
