I do not reccomend China New Star on Forest Avenue. Very mediocre service and the lady server had an ungrategul attitude for any tips you leave. The audacity to curse me and my family out on my way out the door almost made me want to go back to my table and take the tip off the table.

Used to order here all the time until one time they decided to add their own tip on top of a tip. I already gave them. I guess it wasn’t enough add their own tip and then charge me that after I already paid, which is illegal I never said anything about it. The last time I ordered was only because it was my son‘s birthday and he loves Chinese food and the man thought I wasn’t going to tip him and he started screaming and hollering in front of my house it’s too far next time pick up your own food if you’re not gonna give me a tip.I’m no longer supporting this business the good is getting worse and their delivery drivers are also lazy waits in the car to have you come walk to him smh then complained it’s too cold for him to come out! Never again

Do not eat from here!!! This place needs to be on an episode of Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares!! This place has steadily gone down hill year after year! One of the worst Chinese restaurants on the island. Do not let the location and history fool you. They USED TO BE GOOD! The pork in the fried rice looked and tasted like bits of beef jerky, the rice had no flavor and tasted microwaved on high for 3 minutes!! The fried chicken wings were soggy and cold, the egg rolls chewy and flavorless. This restaurant is a far cry from authentic Chinese food of its hayday! You’d be better off going to your local around the way chinese spot.

This place is run down dirty and the food is bland pre cooked reheated . No flavor. Nothing was fresh about anything in this restaurant. I would never come here again. Gnats fruit flies and flies all over the place . The waitress was nice but that was about it. Run down furniture,dirty table cloths. No music or anything playing it’s was so quiet ppl were whispering at their tables. There was a really annoying family of 4 in the center on the dinning room on their phones watching shorts with the volume high it echoed throughout the entire restaurant because it was sooooo quiet. I wouldn’t even do take out here . STAY AWAY

Called this restaurant to cancel my online order instead I got yelled at by two women on the phone saying to call Uber eats to get my money back! No where on their website is it known that it is from Uber eats. I am still waiting for my refund. Horrible customer service!!! Wish I could give zero stars

The food is always amazing and I have been coming to this establishment for years. I knew them when they were under a different name. The delivery had never been a problem for me before today. My delivery driver got to my house called me multiple times demanding I come down to his car. When I had informed him I was not coming to his car, he angrily got out the car stomped to my house like a two year old and dropped my food at the bottom of my steps. He then stormed away giving me dirty looks as he went. I have never experienced such an aggressively poor delivery from another human being. I’m concerned for the safety of others whom he will deliver food to and worry that one day he will assault or hurt someone who he’s delivering food too. God forbid I went to his car there’s a multitude of things that could have happened. When you are a delivery driver you’re delivering food to the persons door it’s the bare minimum. I have a ring camera and all of the actions depicted by this driver is on film. I called the establishment and they just kept saying yes they will tell the boss without even asking me what transpired. Unfortunately now due to this review I will probably never get food here again.

Sad to say. This food use to be so good. Me and my mother brought $70 worth of Chinese food and all of it was rancid. Me and my mom been throwing up and had the runs all day. On top of that they gave me food I didn't order and they didn't give us any utensils. I use to love this place but never again. 🥲
