Was here recently with my wife and grandchildren. Great burgers, good food, good drinks. Under new ownership as of this rating nothing has changed. Not even the great staff. Thank you very much.

Had an amazing cheddar bacon cheeseburger with fried onions and Cole slaw on the side with onion rings I can't help but to keep the burgers in there in my personal top #10 favorite burgers only to be beaten by Jackson hole 🕳️ the burger 🍔 spot on the ground floor of a brownstone building in Manhattan and another place that I will keep secret because I don't want to ruin try the quiet atmosphere of I try with a flood of people pretending to understand what a good hamburger comes down to it's not just the meat it's also the bread and it's also how little they touch and shape the meat into a disk the less they do the better for me and it's also a good pickle that really helps along with a good quality cheese so my fellow foodies enjoy your tongue 😜 tingling tastetastic endeavors just keep me posted on some of them amazing places to go to as well...

Always amazing food bartenders and waitstaff are always so pleasant the burgers are on point but my favorite thing from here is the fried ravioli. Duffy's is one of the best spots for a burger and a beer on staten island

What a surprising find, in the heart of Staten Island. This is one of those friendly neighborhood bars, that we all wished we had outside our door. Friendly, accommodating and completely enjoyable. Oh, great comfort food, too!

Great service. Great food. Great atmosphere. My bf and I ordered the French onion soup, mozzarella sticks, and corned beef sandwich with onion rings and shared. Everything was delicious, the portions were generous, and prices were very reasonable. Can’t wait to come back and try their infamous burger!!!

I am not from the Island. This was my first time eating at this Tavern. The setting was great the food tasted as if it was freshly cooked. Every bite was delicious! “The burgers are to die for!” I got my burger medium well and it was done right! 👌🏽 It was a party of 3 and we all loved and enjoyed our food! #awesomeburger

One of the "old neighborhood bar & grills" that's been around for a long time. The burgers are consistently voted best on Staten Island. The grilled chicken, broccoli rabe,roasted peppers and provolone sandwich is excellent. Good food,good people are the reason for their longevity.

Told about this place from a friend Sharon S. who goes there ofter and spoke about the burgers being one of the best on Staten Island. So happened my son and I ended up going, let me just say "it's one of the best" . Small place but clean and quick and friendly service . Very busy, good selection of food and drinks. Highly recommended.

Burgers are unique and delicious. They don't skimp on the side orders. There waffle and sweet potato fries were perfectly crispy. Friendly staff, and multiple sports on at all times make this place is a must see!

I've lived on the Island my whole life and heard only great things about this place. I went for the first time and was not disappointed, it completely lives up to the hype. The food is delicious, the waitress we had was attentive but didn't bug us. The regular fries are kind of bland, but the waffle fries were seasoned and fried perfectly. Everybody should go at least once.

Service is great and the food is wonderful. Everyone raves on the Burgers as I love them too. However. I must say the best hot dog platter ever.

First time back in a long time... Brought my son, who loves burgers and finally got to try it , he's now in love lol... Thanks as always Duffy's!

A small bar/restaurant for one of the best burgers in town. The service can be improved but it's understandable considering the crowds and the patrons depending on the night. It tastes the best when you have the burger there but if you want to be in and out, take it to go. It's never disappointed

Don't be fooled by the unassuming look. This place makes great food at a fair price. It is a must try. You will be pleasantly surprised. The inside is tight so maybe not a good idea if you are eating with more then 4 people but otherwise go for it.

Great atmosphere with a homey feel. Usually give them a 5 star but half my prime rib was fat. Probably a glitch but I did not complain. Usually the food is spot on.

Dive bar, nothing special on the drinks. Bartenders are usually good, but the food here is exceptional. The burgers are awesome, I enjoy the wings, french onion soup, quesadillas, just about everything I have ever tried here is worth coming back for. I always find myself here on rainy/cold nights when I don't feel like cooking dinner and am looking for some comfort food and a drink.

Duffy's is a go-to spot for me for a late night burger. Their cheeseburger is one of the best on Staten island. I also recommend the delicious and crispy waffle fries. A really nice "local" feel, and the staff is always cool.

I was in the mood for a burger so I went to the place that said they had the best burger in Staten Island. Plenty of crunchy bacon, cooked perfectly, a nice mound of fries. For starters I had Buffalo wings. All very good and the prices are very reasonable. Nice homey pub atmosphere. Good job!

I grew up in the area. Pelton Avenue. Duffy's has been there forever. Finally tried with my wife yesterday, which was Father's Day. We were looking forward to trying the "best burger on the island". The burger did not disappoint. Good fries too... reminded me of the beach boardwalk fries in the summer. Crinkle cut. The greeting, seating and service was a little cold. I think the server was upset about something related to work but eventually he seemed to loosen up. The outdoor seating was a pretty comfortable environment in good weather. We're foodies, belonging to a larger group and will be back with more of us.

Their burgers are served on an English muffin and they taste amazing. Messy but who cares when they taste as good as they do. Their potato skins are really good too. Decent beer selection, nothing crazy. It's definitely a "local" place. Nice staff.

Our Burgers was cooked perfect, sweet potato fries were great, and it all came out nice and hot. We also had honey hot wings and they were also delicious. A few beers and dinner was complete.

They have the best burger on the island so far. They seem handmade 👍 Thick and juicy served on an English muffin. My son does not like it an English muffin so they gave him a brioche bun that the chicken sandwich comes on. He loved it. PS: The mozzarella sticks are good too.

They aren’t lying when they say this place has the best burgers on Staten Island! The burger itself is perfectly seasoned, and perfectly cooked, though on the burger with cheddar, I felt like their proportion was off, and I did not taste the cheese as much as I would’ve liked. Still, this would otherwise be a five star rating, except for the fact that the draft beer selection is a little lacking. (Don’t get me wrong, the few beers they have on tap are good beers, but it really doesn’t seem like as much of a selection as I would like.)

Ordered a bacon cheeseburger how the hell don’t they know how to make a medium well cheeseburger the middle wasn’t even cooked it was raw meat in the middle never go back there again

Food is Too expensive for a sloppy burger which doesn't stay together. Burgers are too greasy. Mostly Caucasian/Irish people hangout here. Safe area location. No parking. Street parking.

Food is usually great however this time when I got a cheeseburger there was one toothpick in the center of the burger which I pulled out to eat but in the middle of the meat of the burger was a piece of a totally separate toothpick that I bit into and nearly choked on. I lost my appetite gave the rest of my food to my dog

We were in town and googled a good place to eat. 4,6 star place must be really good, we thought. French onion soup was good. Burgers were absolutely horrible. Blue cheese burger on my boyfriends plate looked so dry I didn’t even want to try it. Couldn’t even tell if it was blue cheese on the top. My burger wasn’t better. Great service though.

First time going there with my business partners. Felt awkward and out of place when I walked in. Our initial server name was Ali.. she was excellent but the server who delivered our food was rude towards me, she didn't acknowledge me when I asked for hot sauce. I figured she didn't hear me so I repeated myself. She then snapped "I heard YOU!" I didn't like that. Even though the honey fried chicken was deliciously crunchy well seasoned and the waffle fries was fabulous, I won't be returning as a customer

It’s sad that I had to give three stars. It’s only because I was so disappointed with my favorite burger. Duffy’s is a place I go out of my way to get to. When I go there, I’m eager for the best burger that I’ve always loved. The place was always enjoyable to go to. I always bumped into someone I knew. But this time, the place was pretty much empty, the burger (for the first time) really wasn’t that good. I actually didn’t finish it. Onion rings were over cooked. I hope I just caught a bad day. I will give it another chance in a month or so. I just hope Duffy’s isn’t another place that is on its way out.

Not worth it. Definitely not the best burger on SI. Chilli came out cold, and the burger was far from appetizing. Cold and untoasted muffin, sloppy display with cheese and peppers. Chips just tossed on the plate. I could see if the location was busy, but 7: 30 on Sunday with 4 other guests. The best was the Miller on tap. Service was not with a smile. Sorry, wouldn't come back.

The food was great! Solid burger, excellent fries, good portions. The service was good too. Quick, attentive and polite mostly. But the general vibe and atmosphere left a bit to be desired. It has a very cozy look, but I guess it felt kind of cluby? I guess what I mean is it felt like a "who you know/if they know you" kind of establishment. Or maybe they thought I was a tourist (I'm not) and I know not a ton of SI residents appreciate that. Either way, wish it was as welcoming as it appeared, but otherwise, tasty food, good service.

Although the service was nice and the atmosphere was festive, it's not worth the add ons they charge to go with their meals. A bit deceptive replacing fries for the chips at $3 plus. The burgers were average. Not much flavor. The ladies working the day we went and the gentlemen in the kitchen were all nice so give them a star. Truly a 3.5 place, not 4 or 5 IMO.

A very generous rating! Walls are broken, the men’s bathroom lacked a door knob and you can not flush your toilet paper. The atmosphere was very disappointing. When you walk in no one greets you and theres a lack of a welcoming entry and goodbye. However, the food was very good! God bless the Mexicans. Idk why trump wants to deport them when they’re the only ones who did a good job at this establishment.

Been going to Duffy's for over 30 years, but no more. Food is still delicious but the rudeness that I experienced from 2 staff members the last time I was there was inexcusable. Gave our name to hostess who wrote it down and I told her we'd be having drinks at bar. She never even glanced at me. 40 minutes later we're still waiting to be called. Other patrons arriving after us were being seated. I questioned the hostess who snipped, "I thought you left." Our names were crossed off seating list. When she said it would be at least another half hour, I told her that was unacceptable. Bartender did detect a problem and made an attempt to defuse but we had decided already to go elsewhere. We paid our bar bill and left with another staff member calling out loudly at us as we walked out, "Sorry we ruined your night," in front of all the patrons. Mature. He made no attempt to right the situation but sure felt the need to exacerbate it. You know what, though? My night wasn't ruined by Duffy's rude staff. We went on to have a fantastic meal and a typical welcoming experience at Jody's instead. I have not returned to Duffy's and the friends we were with haven't either. Nor have numerous people we've shared this experience with. Duffy's lost numerous decades long customers because of rude and inexperienced staff. Shame, because I do miss their burgers.

The staff is very friendly. I ordered a hamburger but it didn't have any flavor and they hadn't cooked it very well. They should remove those letters that they have outside about the best 5-star hamburger. That hamburger only gets 1 star because it was terrible.

Rushed off the phone and they missed to give us our drinks. But what mainly upset me was that my burger wasn't well done, I am pregnant and must eat everything cooked through and well. I was only able to eat arpund the middle of the burger as I was so hungry. Dufys improve your customer service!

Declining majorly over the years in both FOH and BOH. From the time we sat, we had to ask for menus after five minutes of people walking by us. The bartender and waiter (or communication between the two) couldn't figure out a very simple drink that needed to be made three times. One med rare burger with onion rings (came out medium well), and the other two burgers had their cheeses switched, and completely ignored the request for crinkle cut and gave waffle instead - took them back to redo the burgers properly and they STILL gave a new batch of waffle to waste, instead of just putting the crinkle cut with the new burger.. the lack of care by the staff is appalling and makes this long standing joint not worth spending time or money at anymore.

This place has been on my radar for some time now. . So my family and I finally decide to order take out. And I much say it was the worst $70 I have ever spent the food was not at all how they present it to be online or in the menu it was not worth it. And to add insult to injury it caused aggravation in my entire household because we had to re order food from some where else. Please be ware

Ordered a medium cheese burger with blue cheese and bacon. Nothing crazy. Nothing special. I got a over cooked burger with blue cheese over cooked bacon and a burned English muffin...yummy. Had an empty beer sitting in front of me for 20 minutes cause the bartender had to talk to one guy at the other end of the bar. I asked him what I ordered and he saw my burger and knew it was wrong. He offered to replace it but I declined. Your one draw is burgers...make it right the first time.

The food was great but staff was super nasty I would never eat here again took 10 mins to get drinks to start my waitress ali was found inside on her phone then took our order for only half my order to show up. Ask to speak to manger told no manger worked;different worker came out who was nasiter then our waiters then handed us our $120 dollar bill;told us to pay all cash or card that he wasnt going to split the bill. When signing the recipte he ripped it out of my hand as I was signing my name. Then walked us out and locked us out and refused other customers until we got into our car and left.

Chili: dry Burger: unimpressed. On an English muffin. But a small one. Why serve a decent size burger without a quality bun, I don't get it. Shrimp: tasteless Steak: huge complaints. No salt and pepper?!?!?! I ordered it medium and it came out well done. Overall very unimpressed.

Burger was dry and no flavor. I ordered a cheese burger and I asked for a medium well... it was overly cooked, dry and had no flavor. Anything extra added on was an additional charge which is ridiculous but everything is going up so makes sense. I've had better burgers elsewhere.

We went here on recommendation after church. It was 615pm and you had to pass through a jam packed bar to get to the seating area. The waitress said we could go sit in the enclosure they have out back. We went out back, had a seat next to a very loud table of drunk women. We ordered our drinks and after about 5 minutes, someone came told us we had to move bc the table was reserved. We were told we could sit in the first table inside by the bar. This table was surrounded by the over packed bar of people standing over top of the table, def not suited to sit at unless you want someone up against your back while your eating. Nobody seemed concerned that we were booted from our table and not wanting to sit at the over crowded bar table so we left. Unfortunately we never got to eat here and I don't think we will go back.

If I could give it a negative star I would !! Unacceptable service - unacceptable behavior - called them to ask for my money back and they refused also said I could order again if I liked . Like that was even an option . Ecoli at its finest !! This isn’t well done this is a living cow !!!!!

Asked the bartender who much was a miller he said “if you gotta ask it’s too much” crazy work for someone working for tips.

I went to Duffy’s earlier this afternoon because we really wanted burgers. My mom and I sat down, ordered our drinks and food then noticed one of the cooks leave the kitchen and go straight into the bathroom with his gloves he was cooking in. We gave him the benefit of the doubt and hoped he would come out with the gloves off to return to the kitchen to put on a new pair. He left the bathroom with the same gloves. We watched him, of course touch the door handle on his way out. We waited a few minutes to see if he took the gloves off, but instead he continued cooking with the same gloves, and to make matters worse, proceeded to wipe his sweat and touch his hat. We mentioned it to the waiter, as we were extremely concerned and very disturbed. He had no sense if urgency and did not approach the cook nor did he seem to report it to anyone else. We ended up having to leave and reported our concern to the bartender because we felt bad we had already ordered our food, but there was no way we were letting him cook out food with the same gloves he used the bathroom in. This is a very well known place and I have been here before and had great service and food, but that is one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen in a bar/restaurant.

I went there with a friend this pass weekend because the burgers were supposedly good well that east the case my friend and I were treat poorly The food was cold. The establishment Wasn’t busy yet the food was cold. We didn’t feel comfortable in that place and were Puerto Ricans. Went there just for a beer and a drink. By the time we got out of there, it was 2 1/2 hours later with cold food. We didn’t even eat it. We left it on the table pay the $90 tab left her a $50 tip and walked out. We didn’t trust the place. It’s not Latino friendly at all and it was a terrible experience $140.00 bucks paid to experience cold food and racial tension by everyone including staff is just plain wrong my friend and I aren’t lowlifes we are hard working successful MEN. And pay our share of taxes and to be treated like this is just wrong….
