I'm a bit of a cheese steak connoisseur. I was sad when one of my faves, Delilah's in Greenpoint closed. So glad I visited G-Knows! My new favorite in the boroughs. The play on words for their title is catchy (cough cough famous spot next to Pat's). The cheese wiz steak wit onions was delicious and perfectly cooked. Bread was fresh and just enough meat to cheese to bread ratio. Mac and cheese bites were delicious also. Friendly counter staff. I'll definitely be coming back a lot!

I visited many years ago and recently saw that they changed up a bit. So I decided to revisit. I’m glad that I did~! The parking is not great but manageable. The folks were very friendly and accommodating. I got the truffle whiz wit with garlic bread substitute. It tasted great. Packed full of meat and cheese. The cherry peppers add enough kick to break up the richness of the sandwich. I also got the animal fries. I was surprised at how great these tasted. I also topped them with any meat that fell out of my sandwich. Even better! My only issue is that it gets pricy really fast. But it tastes great. I’ll save this for when I wanna treat myself every now and then.

The cheesesteak is delicious. The fries were soggy and not as crispy as I like but the cheesesteak was easily better than Geno's in Philly.

Pretty good customer service, the person at the counter was more than happy to give us suggestions on what cheesestakes are good and highly rated. Food was good too, I'm not a big cheesestake person, just a craving, but for a Staten Island cheesestake I would say it's okay. Also, if you like soft pretzels, I would highly recommend the pretzel bun.

My daughter has been coming here for years with her and her friends and brought tons of buisness to this place to the point where they already know what she wants when they call, yet this girl with the tattoos started working there she will not go when she is working, and now i know why. My daughter bought dinner for me and my other daughter and we got cheeseburgers and fries and she got her cheesesteak with wiz and peppers, she said she knows she is going to get overcharged if the Spanish girl is working and the order always gets messed up even though she gets the same thing everytime. She gets her cheese for the fries on the side so its not soggy when she gets home yet the girlcharged her 25$ for the same thing but put the cheese on the fries that were all soggy when she got home and wouldnt eat them, and she gets charged 21$ for every other time except when this girl works and the girl always says the prices went up, yet when shes not working it goes back to regular price. Today i called to ask how much for a cheese burger with fries and the girl told me 13$ then i came and got a drink it came out to 19$. I know it wasnt 6$ for a drink so i called to ask why it was so much more she said it was 2.50 for the drink and insisted she wouldnt have told me 13$ for a cheeseburger and fries when she most definitely did, even if you include tax it dont add up to 19$. Now i know why my daughter says she always tries to find a way to overcharge and she used to be a everyday customer, she was legitimately obsessed with these cheesesteaks, now they lost a everyday customer because the girl overcharged her everytime and put cheese on the fries instead of on the side, and its always something every time this girl works. Now she will only go when the young man is working or the lady thats about my age. The exact same thing everytime it should be the exact same price and how do you mess up a cheesesteak with peppers and fries with cheese on the side, even today i got a cheeseburger with onions and fries? How do you manage to mess that up and overcharge from the price you originally stated? Im sure were not the only customers that feel this way so they should correct the worker on these mistakes before they loose more buisness because the food is good but noone wants to get overcharged/taken advantage of.

My husband and I have been ordering here for years. I feel like as of this last year, the quality has changed in food and service. The consistency of the food is hit or miss depending on the night; their fries are the biggest opprtunity to have a different quality. I rarely get the same toppings whenever I order buffalo fries, even though the description never changes, and half the time the fries are a different type, sometimes crinkle, sometimes straight, sometimes shoestring. Any time I've ordered buffalo wings they never come tossed in the sauce, its always a cup on the side which feels lazy. Stick with the cheesesteaks and mac n' cheese bites to get the most reliable food, they're great. The bread is again inconsistent, sometimes its seeded, sometimes its not, and the size varies. Love this spot, still eat here frequently, although not as much as we used to. Hope they can get better training and more consistency.

Food is so good but they’re staff I think? Is horrible .. there has been times I ordered online and then got a email saying they’re out of cheesesteaks and then times I call and sit on hold for 10-15 mins and no one ever picks up?! How do you run a business like this

Tasty, But What Happens When You Aren't Looking? I ate there today. After I finished, I went to pay, and at the same time a chef emptied a large bag of peppers onto the grill. A bunch fell on the floor, and he put them back into the empty bag. I think he saw me because he just put it on the prep table. I left but could still clearly see through the front windows. A second later, the manager, maybe the owner, came back, the chef pointed at the bag and they tossed the fallen peppers back onto the grill without washing them or otherwise cleaning them. This saddens me, because I have been here several times, and enjoyed the food consistently. I have been to Philadelphia and to the famous cheesesteak places there, and would take these cheesesteaks over those. The service is also friendly. I am generally not grossed out by food falling on the floor at home, but this is a commercial establishment and even at home people clean things off if they fall before using it. I am really disappointed to have to put in a negative review, because the food is tasty, but as they say, the true test of character is what a person does when no one is watching. I had the regular cheesesteak, peppers and onions on the garlic bread.

Weakness 🤦🏿‍♂️Compared to the cheese stake joints near me this is one of the worst cheese steaks. Small sandwich not worth it. fooda has some sad restaurant

THIS PLACE IS TRASH…I first wanted to eat here on Saturday at 12:20pm but it was closed. I guess Gknow knows how to not hire dependable workers. So when I actually go there on Monday afternoon I pay $17 for a hoagie that’s listed on their menu $12.50 and when I asked the lady for a receipt she says her machine is broken…avoid this place at all cost
