We picked up lunch via the drive-thru window. The order microphones worked very well so both sides could be heard! Our "server" through the window was friendly and efficient. We were through the line in less than 5 minutes. The chicken is crispy and hot. The rolls are warm. The ear of corn is really hot, so using the provided wooden sticks as handles is much appreciated! I like the "soft" ice with the small pellets. We are returning satisfied customers!

Better than ever. Large chicken strips, thick fires, several dipping sauces, plenty of sides to choose from, great service. They also serve bone in chicken and fish. They are known for their very sweet tea but have unsweetened tea, soda, and smoothies as well. Great place to eat. Decent value, you get plenty of food for under 10 bucks per person.

Visit was through drive through so can not speak to the condition of the loby but the service at the window was excellent. Had to wait on chicken to cook but that is okay things happen. When I got home I found we had 2 extra pieces of chicken, don't know if that is because we had to wait, but it was a pleasant surprise. The chicken and the sides were fresh and tasted great. Thumbs up to the staff at this location.

I can only vouch for the drive thru service on this trip and it was great. Picked up a 20 count chicken tender family pack with fries, rolls, and biscuits. The chicken was hot and tender, the fries were crisp and tasty, and the rolls and biscuits were fresh. Top it off with fast and friendly drive thru service and it made for a very satisfactory experience.

I can only speak to the tenders. If your looking for a REAL spicy breading, this is the place. In my opinion, best spicy tenders out there. Bonus, start out mild, but one after another, the spiciness kicks into gear!

The best Chicken Express in the state. We have one in our hometown and Stephenville's puts ours to shame. Been through Stephenville twice in the last year and a hit both times. We will keep going back to this Chicken Express every time. Keep up the good work!

I frequently get half and half teas here. The tea is great but just ordering sweet is way too sweety for me. The drive thru is normally very fast.

Got the wrong chicken. I can't handle spicy food. The order they gave me was mixed and I tried it and it ruined my weekend.

The atmosphere was extremely accommodating and permissive, and the gal brought or generous meal to our table. I recommend the new spicy chicken strips to anyone who likes cayenne without additional salt. I'm travel through Stephenville again for the sole purpose of eating inside without any fuss.

Some of the college kids are in a hurry or just rude. If you get the older guys to take your order they are awesome! Hit and miss but always delicious and they rarely mess up your order.

The New and improved Chicken Express in Stephenville is OK. It's not what it used to be. The yeast rolls are always soggy or stale. The chicken is either soggy or perfect. Overall though it deserves some recognition. Good job to the Chicken Express employees.👍

This chicken express is usually on point. But my last visit I had cold chewy corn nuggets. Corn nuggets are my favorite and I could eat them.

Ordered livers, order wasnt turned in. If i had waited for them to cook I wouldnt be able to eat at same time as my family. Owner wasnt friendly that I didnt want them to cook livers. Owner wasn't friendly about it.

The food was good,service was good,but the area around where the drinks were dispensed was dirty and spilled drinks on the floor,maybe they were to busy,didnt seem like it was to me,most all Chichen E's are very well kept.

Watched an employee wash their hands then wiped their hands on the back of their jeans. Spoke to the manager and he shrugged and said ok. Luckily she didn't handle our food.

Hard to get into. Chicken did not come as ordered, ordered spicy, received regular seasoned chicken tenders, that also seemed cooked a long time ago. Had to ask twice to get sauces to dip. Fish was ok, but a little greasy. Service could have been a little bit more than I received.

They do not use hairnets, gloves, and half of them are just standing around doing nothing but talking. They should really fix these problems.

I ordered a 4 piece fish combo it even shows on receipt that I ordered Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes but I didn't get my mac and cheese or mashed potatoes i ordered chicken family meal .well got everything but the combo sides.

Went inside to eat last night about 8:30 pm, they don't close until 10pm. The crew was already sweeping and mopping the floors, the chemicals they were using was so strong we really couldn't enjoy our meal.

Wings were small overcooked and the hardly any meat. 98% crust mac an cheese was good but only got a spoonful.

Fries were soggy and looked sad because they were soaked in grease..old grease. My order was wrong. All of the order. I ordered an 8 piece white meat meal (I got mixed ) with fries and some strips. Check your order. She charged me 31 bucks and I didn't order extra family sized items but she just assumed it and asked me if I was finished with my order now???😂. 🤔 The manager said that I could go back for the correct order. I appreciated that but I didn't want to

I was a little disappointed in how hard the breading was. The fried pickles were soggy AF, & the seasoning was terribile! I'm sorry, I hate to give bad reviews...

Have now been sitting in the drive through for 18 days minutes. I’m told it will only be about 10 more. I could have gone to a casual dining place and already been served!

The tea is great, the okra is great if they nearly burn it, but the chicken taste awful and so do their rolls.

So much for eating here... Got food poisoning from eating there last night.

Horrible experience last night. Employees with other employees off the clock or family with a baby they had NO mask. They where behind the counter next to food.. The employee running the cash register was holding the child and when she handed her back never washed her hands. The drive was employee way before the board and was how an I help you. Told her can I pull up I have no idea what I want. She said the other behind you will get their food first. So I was basically forced to order. I couldn't get out due the the poles blocking. The chicken tasted burnt.

Ok to be clear the food is good (when you get what you order) 3 times in the last 3 months my order has filled incorrectly. 1st a family order of fried pickles had 7 SEVEN pieces in the box 2nd on the day after thanksgiving $65 of chicken and they did nite out the rolls in the bag. 3rd 20 piece out the window and again no rolls. DO BETTER PEOPLE

Employees were rude, and the chicken was dry. The rolls were burnt and the gravy was cold, watery and had green hairy spots. The manager was rude when I brought it to her attention.

Many orders (6 of 8) have short recently. Missing either chicken or sides. It happens all too often to be a coincidence. Check your order before you leave the drive thru. As for us, we will never return to this location. Totally incompetent.

Not enough parking at your Stephenville Texas location. We had to go elsewhere to eat because there was NOT one parking space to park. We were not the only ones who had to drive through and leave.

Ok this place needs to open the dinning room the drive through is falling short on correct orders. Twice I've been through the drive through and twice that I didn't get the potatoes with gravy and didn't figure it out till I drove all the way home and I definitely don't live in town.

Boy, the difference 1 night makes. I had an excellent chicken dinner last night and tonight I had chicken and a piece of fish. The fries, fish and chicken were cold and some was not fresh. I watched the crew preparing orders and noticed that they had no system in place to insure fresh hot food. They have aluminum pans under a light that the cooks keep filling up with no regard to making sure the food they're serving was freshest. I won't be back. But the rolles were still good

I've gotta rant about this place..!!! I sent my daughter into town to pick up some chicken from chicken express.... when my wife opened the box . It was nothing but GREASY DRIED OUT CHICKEN..!!! The order taker is very rude. It's the young Hispanic woman. I ordered a family-size box of fried pickles. I arrived at the pick-up window to have a 7pc tenders box shoved at my face, with the order taker saying "Here's your order" and immediately shutting the window without a second wasted. Obviously, my order was different than what I had received, so I tapped the horn twice to get their attention, which I was of course ignored. Finally, the rude order taker opens the window and asks if my order was wrong, then asks me why I had taken it from her, like it was my fault. Again, she immediately shuts the window and gives the box to the person behind me. I honestly wondered why nobody goes to the Chicken Express in Stephenville, as where I'm from it's constantly packed with people. It's clear to me now it's due to their horrible customer service and lack of accountability.

Do not go here. They either get your order wrong or keep your money. I went today and handed the girl a 20 for my order that was 9 and some change. She put that I only gave her a 10. I know for a fact I had a 20 because that is what my boyfriend gave me for lunch. I dont keep cash on me so I know that is what I gave them. She came back after "watching " the camera's and said I only gave her a 10 with an attitude. When I said no, it was a 20 she got really snotty with me and said no, I just wanted it. Then she wasnt even gonna give me my food. I had to ask her for my food. If I wasnt on my lunch break I would have pursued it more. I will NEVER go to this place ever again.

Employee argued on the phone with me and in person with my dasher over 15 CENTS worth of serendipity seasoning packets on a doordash order (That have always been free and automatically included up until now apparently). If i'm paying $45+ for plain chicken with no flavor there's no way I will be haggled over 15 cents to make their unseasoned chicken edible.
