What a gem of a restaurant! The ambiance is lovely. There are tables for two as well as for very large groups (8). The cocktails are great - I loved a Hot & Smokey. For food, I recommend the beets and brussel sprouts to start and I loved their fried chicken. It's boneless, bountiful, crispy, and the chilli-honey dipping sauce is sooooo gooood!

Nestled under towering sycamore trees is The Front Yard a neighborhood gathering place with an approachable and shareable menu influenced by LA culture. Hang out on our spacious outdoor patio and sip your favorite cocktail by our fireplace. We had breakfast and itches out of this world delicious. Staff was amazing.

We live in the area so this is one of our go-to spots for a quick drink and date night vibe (although we still love going for brunch, lunch and dinner too). You can get a little dressed up or go a little more casual if you want to. Food is always great and the drinks too. Typically kind of busy due to being part of the hotel but we like that kind of ambiance but it doesn't affect service quality!

We stayed at the garland for two nights and ate almost every meal at the hotel or at the front yard, the food is fresh and super tasty. Everything we tried was so good. The staff are very nice and helpful.

We were visiting from Eugene, Oregon and stumbled upon this restaurant on google. It is SO cute! We sat on the patio and some girlfriends and I could do some damage there during brunch. SO cute! We had the deviled eggs (do it!!), the cauliflower (was good but would be even better more caramelized), the tacos (SO good) - my parents got a wedge salad I believe and loved it! My mom also loved the bananas foster!

Shoutout to our bartender Juan for the amazing service 🙏🏽 Pro-tip: Don't show up 20 min before brunch ends like we did haha it will only be available at the bar, which we loved, but the bar can be full so it's a risk. We had the Carnitas Eggs Benny and the Breakfast Royale. If you're you're like me and not good with spicy, the Carnitas Eggs Benny jalapeno hollandaise sauce is actually not too spicy, and has good flavor. The Breakfast Royale was delicious, buts it's definitely messy, so lay that napkin across your lap for sure. She is a bit of a hot sauce snob, so she was disappointed to hear they only had Tabasco or Siracha, BUT was quickly happy to hear about their personal Salsa Verde at Juan's recommendation. Honestly... It was pretty dang good haha we even bought a bottle of it for tomorrows breakfast at home. You can buy bottles of it here. Drink wise the Mimosa Pitcher was the way to go. A single cost $14 and the pitcher (which has like 6 mimosas in it) is $28 so the pitcher was a great deal. The flavor is Orange juice, on the natural/not too sweet side of Mimosas. If you don't drink alcohol, we ordered the Jaunito Mojito mocktail and were pretty impressed with the taste. We didn't get dessert but the gentleman next to us order the Pop tart, and that thing is HUGE haha and it come with 2 large in house made poptarts. Great for sharing if you got room after your main course. Overall great service experience, parking is free with validation, food is great, and drinks were solid. Not crazy expensive, yet quality. Gonna be back to try them Deviled Eggs.

Fun place for dinner. Food presentation and taste 5star quality. Wait staff was actually funny, and broke up the silence. They have a separate vegan menu - so if you are into that, make sure to ask for it. The outdoor seating was perfect. Tables were well spaced. Parking was a bit tough. Had to park on the grass. And didn't get towed!

Nice and quaint restaurant tucked beside Garland Hotel. Friendly and welcoming service. Food was good. Had the short ribs and polenta cake sprinkled with corn and this BBQ demi sauce 🙄. Wouldn't order it again. The scallops, steak and deviled eggs and 12 minute biscuits🤤 I most definitely would order again. So I'm sure there's other things on the menu that I'd come back for despite the short ribs dish.

The level of service provided by Juan and Adrian at the bar was nothing short of exceptional. They created an atmosphere that made our brunch truly memorable. The cocktails deserve special mention - expertly crafted and the perfect complement to our meal. We started with the deviled eggs which set a high bar for what followed. The shrimp and grits, elevated with bell peppers, offered rich, comforting flavors with just the right amount of sophistication. The true star, however, was the burger topped with a perfectly cooked egg that added a luxurious element to an already excellent dish. The yolk created a natural sauce that elevated every bite. From attentive service to impeccable food, this brunch experience exceeded expectations. Juan and Adrian's attention to detail and recommendations made all the difference. Will definitely be returning!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

If you want nice vibe and "luxurious" environment, this is the place. If you get lucky, you will also catch a celebrity or two while you are dining. Servers are very bright and friendly. But... food... hum... I ordered fish taco. Well, I would rather go to Rubios Taco. Much tasteful. French fry... tastes like nothing. Seasoning is... just red. Not much flavor. I can't speak for other dishes but will never go there for fish taco. My other parties ordered salad stake which could have been better. Unsure if I will return unless my company holds a meeting there. Will try different menu next time if I do go again. Parking is validated and $0 for self parking. If valet parking, you will pay $9.

Needed a restaurant for a client lunch and found Front Yard in my search, turned out to be a good find at that. We shared an order of brussel sprouts and their "not to be missed" chive flat bread. The brussels were nicely roasted and with a nice zing from the Chili's. The flat bread was good, but you could miss it for other options. Two of us had the Royale with cheese (burger) and one had the BLT Banh MI sandwich. We all elected fries as our side. The burger was beautifully cooked & juicy, and the special sauce added to the flavor profile. The seasoned fries were some of the best I've had recently. My colleague enjoyed the Banh MI as well. Service was friendly, if a bit slow. The restaurant is large with many different area, including a large patio. They have a full bar.

The restaurant is attached to a hotel. It’s super cute and they do a really good job with decorating the space. They do offer buffet for breakfast, however it’s not a full spread and is a little on the weaker end. We ended up ordering à la cart from the menu, and the food was pretty good. The coffee was average, nothing special to rave about. Service was slow, the restaurant was not packed by any means but it’s weird how we were treated compared to the other guests…

I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner experience at The Front Yard for the atmosphere, high quality service and decent tapas options. Parking on site is validated for up to 3 hours when you dine in, so be sure to give the ticket to your waiter. Both the outdoor and indoor areas are gorgeous, with modern, yet cozy decorations and furnishings. The fireplace outside is by far the best spot in my opinion and we were lucky enough to be seated in that area. We ordered 5 different shareable plates for 2 and were surprised to find an affordable final total of $30 per person, plus leftovers to take home. Our server was attentive and our food arrived quickly despite the restaurant being quite full. The food itself was pretty good, but could use some improvements to achieve a full 5 stars. The deviled eggs with bacon, wood oven roasted olives and adobo french fries were fantastic, but keep in mind the olive plate is rather large for just 2 people. The peach and guanciale flat bread had decent flavors, but the texture of the bread was tough and the cheese ripped instead of melting, so it was difficult to bite and chew. The kale caesar salad had a delicious dressing, but the croutons were small and sparing. Also, the baby kale leaves themselves were bitter and had the texture (not the taste) of mint. I’d recommend switching to curly kale and massaging it instead to recreate the crunchy texture and less bitter taste that’s in a classic caesar salad.

We ate dinner at The Front Yard last night (Saturday). Oddly, when we sat down (and in patches throughout the restaurant), there was a very strong fishy smell. Yuck. The food was truly below average. We had the Hamachi Tostada Bowl, which was fishy (I know... its fish) and way too much dill, the Carmelized Brussels were just okay. For dinner, the Mary's Half Chicken - the chicken itself was very flavorful and tender, but did not pair well at all with the cacciatore sauce (essentially tomato paste); the baby gem lettuce in the Baby Gem Salad tasted like poison (no, really. Really). There was something wrong with the lettuce. A line check at the beginning of the dinner shift would have prevented the baby gems from being served last night. The manager approached our table (regarding the salad) and essentially blamed our friend for ordering the Baby Gem Salad without the tomatoes, blue cheese or bacon; she just wanted baby gem lettuce with the dressing. Then, they served her a bowl of chopped romaine lettuce - for $16. Eesh. A simple, genuine apology would have been sufficient, a little more effort on the replacement dish/salad, a line check and re-check of the baby gem lettuce, and offering to not charge us for the salad would have been preferable. They did remove the salad from the bill, but the damage was already done. The manager lacked professionalism, follow-through and follow-up. Muy malo. I guess... eat here for the ambiance, which was great, but not the food. Also, try not to sit in a fishy smelling section. (I think it was the scallops causing the very fishy smell throughout.)
