I really regret not getting a picture of my food because my words will probably will not give it the KUDOS that it deserves. I had the Spicy Cajun Pasta with Chicken. The serving size was huge and was able to share with my niece. The flavor was so good and the spiciness was just right (I like spicy food a lot). The waiter was a gem, forgot his name which I regret that too. This is a must try!!

Fried mushrooms were great, but I thought they were a bit pricey. Catfish was good and crispy. Not greasy at all. Coleslaw and salad were good also. French fries were "meh"... Service was very good and the place was very clean. A little small though. There are some other items on the menu I'd like to try. Bottom line...I'd eat there again. We spent about $25/ person, which is too much to go there too often, but good place.

Laid back family bar(ish) restaurant with an outdoor area. Great place to watch football in the bar area or sit down dinner with the family. Not pushy very chill laid back vibes. Brunch is the BEST! Mimosa special can’t be beat anywhere!

Every single employee had a smile, was friendly and were helpful even if I wasn't their table. They actually appeared to enjoy their job. The manager was amazing. We had a table of 10 and he personally took care of us after a waiter walked out mid order. Seth the manager was suppose to leave for vacation but stayed to make up for the waiter walking. He was very nice and I’m glad we stayed and gave them a second chance. Our order were filled promptly. The food and service was amazing. I highly suggest the pulled pork pancakes and the biscuits with jalapeño gravy. I will recommend this place 10/10. A home style feel with real southern soul food. Don’t let a few bad apples ruin the bunch.

Former feed store converted into a restaurant. Beyond generous portions. I rarely get so filled at a restaurant. Big range of prices can appeal to any budget. Waitstaff work their butts off over here.

My Family and I was at Kearney’s last night on 1/8/2026 Thursday and we had the most outstanding service we’ve ever had in any restaurant with Alyssa. I had a Kearney’s Gift Card and wasn’t able to leave her a tip from the card. So we left her a tip on her Apple Pay. Just a heads up if you’re using a gift be sure to have cash to leave as tip.

Small town off the beaten path amazing brunch spot! Our server was Donovan and his first question was have you ever been here before, when we said no he was super helpful in assisting us with brunch selections. We started with a carafe of build your own mimosas(can't go wrong there). We got to pick 3 juices and a bottle of decent champagne. I had the big kearney breakfast (that's a lot of food for cheap) it had chicken fried steak, migas, breakfast potatoes and the star of meal was the pulled pork pancakes to which I added syrup. Holy smokes! Just the right amount of smoke,bark and spice to counteract the sweetness of the syrup. My wife chose the migas with house made chorizo added in, absolutely delicious. We got out of there with 2 meals, 3 drinks each and leftovers for under $60 not counting a 30% tip due to the awesome job Donovan did. If you haven't been here you should definitely bookmark it as a brunch place worth trying, I have no doubt we will put this in our favorites rotation!

The atmosphere was very laid back. We went at the perfect time. Around 10am. Not busy at all. We had gone twice before which did not work out. The first time the wait was close to an hour and the second time we walked in and they were closing (they decided to close early). Gave it one more shot. I got the BLT, which was delicious. I was only able to eat half. The staff was friendly and helpful. Service was quick.

Food and atmosphere was wonderful. We will definitely be coming back.

The food was delicious and there were plenty of options. I did not care for the seasoning that they put on the okra and french fries because it has sugar in it. Everything else was great.

Stopped in for brunch. Had the migas, was a good portion with good flavor. I got there and sat in the bar area. It wasn't busy so I wished service was a little better. Had to wait several minutes to order then get refills. All in all I would go back.

Great food at excellent prices, served with the biggest smile. Our server was fantastic and super helpful. She's a delightful presence that made us feel like home.

The brisket nachos are so amazing! They are filling and easily split between 2 people as a meal!

Nice drinks, friendly staff, and perhaps the only live-music-in-eatery setup I've ever experienced that didn't make me feel like my skull was splitting. A lovely ambiance, but I'd recommend their burgers over theor grilled cheese, which you can probably make better at home yourself.

We happened upon Kearney's when we were going car-shopping in Mesquite on Christmas Eve. The ambiance is casual. The bar area has big screen televisions for your viewing pleasure. We saw a wide range of patrons there - young, old, couples and families. We went back to purchase the car the following Monday. We decided to stop at Kearney's again on our way home. Darn, if they weren't closed on Monday...we were SO disappointed! We went back this past weekend, and my friend joined us. We live close to the OK border, so it is a trek down to Kearney's for us...but SO worth it! We have had the mushroom swiss burger, the brisket grilled cheese, tge Grind, as well as both regular hand-cut fries and sweet potato fries. Great service, friendly staff and awesome food! For those who like to frequent a place with offers long-standing local history...Kearney's is your kind of place.

I don't eat salad so I always just get tomatoes with ranch and they hooked me up. Definitely coming back again. I love that you can eat outside and there's even a little spot for toddlers to play. Impromptu girls' night found us at Kearney's Feed Yard. The staff let us know they were short staffed ahead of time, which was very sweet. All in all, we had a great time talking and hanging out. The music was perfect and seemed just right for almost every topic we talked about. I absolutely loved the spicy pasta. There was a nice little kick to it. My daughter and bestie enjoyed their steaks, which were cooked to their liking.

This place used to be a yard for livestock feed and such that I worked at when I was in high school. So to see it turned into a really cool restaurant and bar is nostalgic for me. There is family, seating area and the indoor and the outdoor. There’s a bar area on the indoor. The outdoor comes with the capability of outdoor music cornhole and fire pits, which are always fun. The menu is vast and the drinks are specially made. I highly recommend the Irish breakfast shot. Or even try the bloody Mary. Breakfast is always a winner fresh food. I haven’t had anything here that’s gross yet.

Chip and queso, morning grind burger. Petite chicken fried steak, side salad and brisket nachos. All of it was delicious! Not one complaint about the food. The hot sauce was fresh and seemed home made. The only complaint we had was they ran out of sweet tea and could have offered water or something else while it was being made. The kids drinks sat empty for most of their meal. Regardless the server did his best and we enjoyed the time there. Well be back for sure.

We had a group of 19 people, mixed ages seated in the bar at a tall table. We had quick and accurate service food came out promptly and correctly. I ordered the chicken alfredo pasta. And it looked amazing, however the taste just was not there it was not bad it just lacked flavor. Other people in our party were very satisfied with their order. I believe our experience would have been better if we had been seated in one of the smaller rooms. As none of us ordered anything from the bar... I would like to go back and try the brisket nachos another time as they looked amazing. ☺️

The food took a really long time to get. Appetizer n kids food was reasonably time but our plates, brisket sandwich and steak plate took over 30 minutes after we got the appetizer! After we ate, drinks outside n kids played outside, that was fun. They have firepits n live music, not too loud, just right.

I was really impressed with Kearney's restaurant. It's has something for everyone. The decor makes you feel at home, and the majority of the staff was young and inexperienced. This is my only down side. In my opinion, if your going charge as the upscale restaurant, your staff should be on Par as the upscale restaurants. With that being said, the food was very good. No complaints in that department:) Well, maybe just one. My mother order Green beans and they came out basically after my mother finished her meal. The waitress apologized, however nothing was done for the inconvenience or her error. With that being said, I still give Kearney's 4 stars. The overall experience was good.

Visited Kearney's for the first time today. Loved the ambiance and service. The staff had face covers on and the tables were amply spaced. They even have 1/2 price wine bottles all day on wednesdays! Got a couple of burger orders for take-out. Were done pretty well. Didn't realize that our sides were missing until we got home.

Very beautiful restaurant and delicious tomato soup , grilled chicken and bread pudding. 4 stars because food came in weird order and also the grilled chicken need something on the side like some grilled vegetables ; not coming alone sitting on the plate!

Dinner with friends in the patio. Band playing popular songs. Children dancing and happy. Most at the table had the chicken fried chicken or chicken fried steak. It looked so delicious! I was a good girl and had char grilled Scottish salmon over a freshly prepared ceaser salad. Omg. I had the winner!!!!

The food was delicious but I felt like the service was lacking attentiveness. The Ribeye was juicy and well cooked, and the fried mushrooms were very tasty. The chocolate cake was not good and I was quite disappointed in that. It was super dense and had the consistency of cheesecake. Either it was old or just not assembled well. Then they put that yucky chocolate syrup on top, which made it taste terrible. The atmosphere was fun, especially knowing that it was a feedstore that I shopped at years ago.

When a friend of ours posted his great experience there and how good the food was we decided we would go check it out. We went for an early dinner to avoid a crowd. Only place that was crowded was the bar which I like. Had the feel of a neighborhood bar. People relaxing and having a good time. Menu was okay, thought it would have more southern & comfort food like meatloaf. Pot roast and fish. I always judge a restaurant by its chicken fried steak. The regular comes with two. It was a little over crisp where the breading cracks off and you end up with a big chunk of crust. Wife had the chicken fried chicken, she said it was good. Salads were great. Bake potato was not hot and undercooked. Wouldn't melt butter. Mash potatoes is the way to go. They don't offer rolls or bread. One of the pleasures of Texas Road house, Cheddar, Outback, and Salt Grass is the bread. We had heard the drinks were overly priced and $12 for a regular size Top Shelf Margarita proved that rumor true. Draft beer was $5.50 and only a dollar off for Happy hour. Another point I judge a really good establishments cooking is if they actually prepare their own recipe on appetizers such as Jalapeño poppers or use pre-made frozen products. I love a good Jalapeño rat toe or stuffed. They fail in this category. On the positive side our waiter was great and the staff seemed friendly. We will try them again. We liked the vibe and will try some different menu options.

This restaurant has recently opened and we came first on a Friday night but the wait time was an hour and a half at 8pm so we came on Sunday afternoon. The hostess was nice and the decor of course has a country vibe. It looks like they have a good outdoor area. Our waitress was nice and friendly but could have been more attentive. She was quite distracted and forgot to bring items and took a while every time to come to our table so by the time we wanted or needed anything it was too late or the food got cold. The food was not as good as we had hoped. The bacon burger didn't have bacon nor any kind of seasoning. The chicken fried steak also was bland and did not have seasoning. The griddled cheese was actually good except that the tomato made the middle of the bread quite soggy. The hot wings did have a good char flavor but not a huge fan of the buffalo sauce, it would probably be better if there were other flavors. My family gave this place more of a 2 star in general. Unfortunately, don't think it would be my first choice to go to.

We went there today @ 4:30. The waiter was great. The food on the otherside was not good. The shrimp was over good and grease. All you could taste was the grease. Get the old cook back or train this guy/girl.

Service was poor. Our table was sticky, waiter nice enough to wipe it down while telling us that the table is being re stained/surfaced si it will still be sticky which it was so we used paper napkins to cover it. Our waiter was nice, gave us updates on when food was coming, however, he forgot to bring in my toast or crackers to go with the tortilla soup, forgot cheese. It looked like he was too busy or just forgetful. It took a while to get our orders in but once in, food came out in a reasonable amount of time.

For a very long time my wife and I have talked about going to this restaurant. So earlier this week we went and took our toddler grandson. To start with it can be a challenge just getting into the parking lot if you have never been. There is not a large enough sign on the building to tell you the name of the place from the front. There is a sig near the road but it is partially blocked so you cant see the name. If you are heading north you must be aware that there are two lanes that turn left and there is no sign above on the light pole to alert you to this. So as we did we had to go down and turn around as we were in the lane closet to the curb. Once we got turned around we then proceeded to make a left turn but now you have to go down a short distance and make a u turn. Once you get almost to the intersection then you all of a sudden see an entrance to the restaurant with again no name of the restaurant. We turned and and parked. Upon entering we noticed how nice the place looked and was nicely impressed. Since we went for lunch on a Wednesday it was not crowded. It took a moment for a hostess to greet us and seat us. Let me cut to the chase here. The food was OK the service was pretty good. I had a burger and my wife had a sandwich. We waited 30 years to go here and we will probably not be back for another 30 years. This was our experience and my opinions. Please try them out and see for yourself.

The first time we came here, it took them a while to take care of our table because they completely forgot about us. The second time we came here, we sat outside, which was nice. But, our server this time also seemed to forget about us as she rarely checked on our table. So I'm not sure if their servers just don't care or what. The food is decent, at least. Just wish service was better.

First time trying this place out. I’ve seen signs posted of catfish, it was a friends birthday so we decided to check it out. I am from New Orleans and we’re always looking for good food! The fish was disappointing! No seasoning that I could’ve tasted, and seems the oil needed to be refreshed bc as you see in pictures the fish was dark. The brisket nachos were the best !!! We had a sampler as well and the fried pickles were good. The service was good our waiter Garrett was pretty cool. I just don’t recommend the fish if you’re looking for some good seasoned catfish. Other than that it was a cool experience.

Hamburger very fatty. Grilled chicken sandwich underwhelming--dry. Spaghetti portion small. Key lime pie portion very small but loved by my 2 companions. Bar very active. Two families with kids eating when we came in at 5 pm. Seemed kid friendly with kid portion choices very reasonably priced and plenty of wood high chairs.

Something has changed at Kearney’s. And not for the better. The quality of the food has dropped and so have the portions. But, I suppose nobody wants large portions of poor food. We used to love breakfast here. Everything, down to the white toast, tasted great. Today I was served what looked like soggy Wonder Bread toast. Traditionally we order a single pancake to split between us. Today, the tiny cold and mostly flavorless pancake was a real disappointment. Even the service staff had changed. The young boy who greeted us seemed confused and bothered and our waiter couldn’t explain the changes, because he only started a few weeks ago. Though he did a fantastic job taking care of us. I hope they are able to regain what they’ve lost.

First of all several of the reviews mentioned this being Farm to table. It's not and has not been for years. The food was just okay. Large portions but overpriced for the flavor/quality. Drinks were of varying quality depending on who the bartender was. Seemed like a local Watering Hole but definitely not one that I would pay those prices to return to.

The shrimp in the Cajun pasta were smelly and rubbery. We didn't even eat one. You could even smell it as it was approaching the table. Our salad and main dishes came out at the exact same time. Even still all of the sides all seemed old and maybe even reheated. The ambiance is nice especially if you used to shop there when it was a feed store. The service was good. The bar drinks were nice but spending nearly 100 bucks for 3 people and getting our salad at the same time as our meal, the luke warm (at best) sides, and the potentially food poisonous shirmp bring this place down a lot.

Food was not good. Ordered the spicy Cajun pasta and it was terrible. My husband ordered a burger and fries, it was small and the fries sucked. Food is overpriced. The guy taking care of us was okay. I wouldn’t come back here.

Well to start the food was COLD! eggs were not cooked right, gravy was cold. And chicken fried steak was over cooked. Our waitress was good. But the manager wouldn't even come talk to us over our food being cold. A good manager wouldn't have let us leave without talking to us. I DONT recommend going there, very over priced for crappy food. Waitress said main cook was on Vaca but that is a lame excuse for a horrible cook and serve line. Anywhere is better then that at least even waffle House will serve hot food. And cooked right!

Service was fantastic, No complaints there. Five stars. Food was terrible. Ordered a rare 8 oz. Sirloin and got what I can only describe as the second worst cut of meat I've ever had, And it was overcooked. The cut of meat was incredibly grainy and dry. Do yourself a favor and don't order any steaks here. They apparently source their steaks from the same place Applebee's does. Ownership or management needs to source from a better meat supplier. I expect better from a "ranch" themed restaurant with a cow as part of their logo.

This is one of my favorite places—I’ve been coming here for four years. I’ve noticed that many families bring their children to enjoy the food and drinks while they play. However, I’ve seen that the play area is completely neglected; the equipment is broken, and if I remember correctly, it has never been replaced in all the years I’ve been visiting. It’s a shame because, as parents, we often choose places where our kids can play and have a good time while we eat. Hopefully, you can improve the play area.

Came in at 10:00 on a Friday night (they close at 11). We don’t typically like to come in that close to closing but I don’t think an hour is too bad. We were expecting to be rushed and handed a bill reasonably so. But in fact the exact opposite happened we where seated and waited 20 min and no service happened what so ever. At the rate it was going we wouldn’t have been given food until right before closing. We had three waitresses make eye contact with us and just keep walking and socializing. We were told the kitchen was open and we could see the cooks sitting and waiting for an order. Very disappointed. Hopefully service is a lot better during the day.

Overall experience was terrible! Outside of our table there was one other table so they weren’t busy. Took over 15 mins before we ever had a server approach our table! Little to no communication once greeted. Then it took forever to get the appetizer we ordered. Asked for more ranch, server never came back after 20 mins we had to ask the hostess for ranch. She got it within 30secs. Food was ok but you could tell it was under a heat lamp for a while, again poor server. Reached a point where we asked for to go boxes which took almost another 10 mins. There was another customer that was also complaining, same issues same server. I paid my bill and left but will never be back. After leaving I called and asked for manager to which I was told “the manager is busy can I take a message” I just hung up. It’s obvious they are ok with losing business and giving poor service! 10 out of 10 I don’t recommend. At least until service is MUCH improved. Hope this helps keep others from having the same bad experience.

They dont ever answer the phone and when the slight chance they do they hang up. I just called 6x and not one person answered the phone. Horrible horrible customer service and lazy staff who can't pick up a phone

I asked for a drink there was a hair on the lime, after I asked to get a different one (nicely) they took forever to come back. Waited over 23 minutes and nobody came to take our order. Overall it was a horrible service.

Our party of 11 was served by Valerie, and unfortunately, the service fell far below expectations. Valerie was not patient with us, displayed a lack of manners, and made our entire group feel uncomfortable. While she did check on us occasionally, there were several concerning incidents, such as when I asked for jelly, and she took it directly off my mom's plate instead of bringing a fresh portion. Additionally, my order was incomplete, and she seemed unable to handle the checkout process, requiring assistance from the manager, Roberto (if I recall his name correctly). This was our second visit as a family, and sadly, it mirrored the poor experience from our first. We had initially hoped it was just an off day for her, but after today, it seems this is a pattern. We came to celebrate my uncle's birthday, but the atmosphere made it impossible to enjoy. To make things worse, when we ordered champagne, it was served in a beer bucket with plastic cups and dirty glasses, while other tables received proper silver buckets and champagne flutes. When we inquired, Valerie told us those items weren’t available, which added to the frustration. While the manager stepped in to help, the overall experience left us deeply disappointed. I hope this feedback encourages the team to address these issues, as this level of service is not what we expected.

Appetizer sampler were great but I do not recommend getting rib eye or sirloin steak here horrible and mash potatoes were dry. Not going back...

We walked in and it was after the lunch rush. Not a lot of people and no one in line. We stood at the hostess stand. For 5 minutes. There was a female working the bar. She made eye contact with us 3 or 4 times. Never acknowledged or indicated for us to wait a minute. We were totally ignored. She did not appear to even tell anyone we needed assistance.

Feeling nostalgic, and missing school cafeteria food? Come here. Steak is overpriced. Last time I checked a medium well shouldn’t be leaving a pool of blood on my plate . Also thank God for the salt and pepper on the table.

Me and my husband come back to this restaurant 2nd time. Was sat in the lounge area, we waited and watch servers go by, no HI no one greeted us. Only like 4 tables in the area that had guest. We are waiting and waiting........... still no server but one server grabs her phone and goes outside. OK maybe a break, we are still waiting. No manager is coming around the tables asking if guest are good, still we see servers walking around not ONE but 2 to 3. Never asked how we were doing. A family gets sat, and a server goes straight to them. I say excuse me we were here first and been waiting 9 minutes. No apology. Comes over, ask what we want to start with and were like well we dont have menus. I hate to give bad reviews, but this was really uncall for, and at a popular restaurant but wasn't busy. We were hoping to get something to eat and make my grandson choir concert that, but we missed it. Hopefully next visit will be better.

We had no idea the restaurant was closed because there were still people at other tables and karaoke still going on in the bar. Our waitresses mom had been drinking in the bar and she went and got her to come and yell at us to leave. Her mom approached our table and began chewing us out and yelling at us that we needed to leave. We had children with us and she continued her rant as our children walked by her even yelling at them on our way out. Not only was the experience awful, but the food wasn't even good. Tough chicken fried steak nasty mashed potatoes and terrible service! We only come to this restaurant to support local business, but that stops tonight! I will not ever go back to Kearney's Feed Yard!

Food was terrible. $7.20 for a baked potato? Butter tasted old. I didn’t touch it, waitress came by several times, told the waitress it wasn’t great and she could see that I didn’t touch it, never offered to remedy it. Asked me if I wanted a Togo box, declined it. Took the potato and came back with the check. This is actually the second time I’ve been here, food was subpar the first time but service was exceedingly better, which is why decided to try it again. Maybe because of the poor weather they didn’t offer to fix the problem because they needed to recover lost wages. I wanted to visit a family owned company to help with the fact that the ice would’ve closed their business down for days, so I didn’t request a refund. But they lost customers instead.

I've driven by this place quite often and have always wanted to try it. Let me start by saying, the atmosphere is nice and it is definitely family friendly. The food however really left more to be desired! The mashed potatoes were so dry they would crumble! The mac & cheese looked good but tasted like it was out of a box the worst part of it all were the steaks. I ordered 3 ribeye's for my table and they were deplorable! They must've been put on the grill straight out of the freezer as they barely looked cooked mushy when eaten. I sent 2 of the ribeye's back and got the NY Strip stead. They were received in the same grotesque condition! This was our first visit to this establishment and I really dont think we will ever visit again!
