Beautiful place
So amazing. So pretty
Awesome place, very nice trip!

Never in my life I would have expected to visit the grave of the great Tokugawa Ieyasu. Had to wear my sunglasses all the time because the tears in my eyes wouldn't stop flowing. I feel so grateful for being able to be there at least once in my life. I will never forget about that
A unique experience, this town has its own magic, you can get a Nikko pass and travel around the waterfalls and different shrines, we walked on foot but were very tired towards the end, I would recommend travelling here outside of the winter months as it was really cold at the end of march. Snow and all. Easy to reach from Tokyo
Lovely place and lots of temples and shrines with stunning work on them. Only problem is the large influx of tourists. If you are lucky you can reach early and find it less crowded . there are lots of stairs and lot of uphill walking for the temples and shrines, so if you have knee issues beware. Also the place almost shuts down fully at sunset, so plan accordingly.
This place is absolutely stunning. The nature in the park is beautiful and the shrines are also worth the visit. We planned a day trip to Nikko but you can easily stay there for two days.
Nikko National Park is known for its ancient temples and spectacular scenery, including one of Japan's most beautiful waterfalls. This place introduces outdoor activities and local food that can be enjoyed in Nikko National Park, including cycling, fishing, and hiking in the Lake Chuzenji area.
I simply love Nikko in general, it's beautiful, lot of attractions and places to visit and get to know more about Japanese Culture, the Temples and Shrines are worth the visit plus you might get to see the monkeys playing around.
The park is considered one of the most beautiful in Japan, and is a popular tourist destination.[3] Beyond its striking scenery, the park is noted for its historical Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines, most notably the Nikkō Tōshō-gū and Rinnō-ji. They are designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site as the "Shrines and Temples of Nikkō".[2][4] The park is free entry and is divided into three zones, such as Nikko, Kinugawa/Kuriyama, Nasu Kashi/Shiobara.[5]
Nikko is very popular tourist destination in tochigi prefacture. train access from Tokyo available. It is traditional place with many Japanese style restaurants, japanese palace, one can even rent japanse costum kimono to wear for entire day. Autumn is good time to visit. Hot spring hotels are there, upside lake so peaceful to wander around.
Amazing place ,where you feel peace and freshness.
It is undoubtedly the most exciting and beautiful place I visited in Nikko, Japan. The green beauty of nature is so amazing and mesmerizing. Heart feels happy.

This park was a highlight of our week in Japan. Beautiful waterfalls, pristine lakes, adventurous hikes, abundant wildlife, and so much more to see and do.
The Nikko National Park is one of the great tourist attraction in Japan for so many waterfalls, Lake, Dead volcano mountain, mountain Observatory points, shrine, Museum, onsen, hiking trails, Resorts, restaurants, souvenirs shop and many more. Very much popular spot for dogs. You can also witness of Monkeys. You have to stay at least one night, two days to explore whole Nikko park.
I went there on 11 November 2023. The leave are not completely yellow, but you can catch the nice view at lake. You can use limited express, but you need to reserve or buy ticket in advance, the price around 5600 yen and around 3 hour. For local train are around 4700 yen ( including all pass area for bus ride in Nikko area and some shrine admission, but not include Ropeway which you need to more additional 900 yen) It was so crowded during the weekend and holiday. The popular food is yoba ( tofu skin), there are many restaurants available for yoba soba noodles.
A stunningly beautiful national park with many shrines, temples and lovingly scenic views. I was fortunate enough to enjoy a 1,000 Samurai Festival there and it was a wonderful experience to learn and see the historical aspects of the samurai lifestyle. The people, culture and their history is phenomenal. I highly recommend visiting and enjoying Nikko National Park for yourself.
Nikko is best place and must visit spot when u visit Japan. Its around 3 to 4 hours drive away from Tokyo. Breathtaking view is seen at Nikko national park. Lake Chuzenji is also there which is also beautiful place for nature loving tourist. While going to Nikko the sightseeing around you will gonna attract you as its totally greenish and curves on road.
