Food is always amazing, the chef is very nice and always makes the food perfect. Salchipapa is my favorite, i come here once a week at least! Just wish they were open late on weekends.

I came here because I have been trying to find a place that serves a good Salchipapa and I am glad I finally made the time to come down here. The food is great and the service is wonderful he really makes it feel like you’re a regular, loves to talk to his customers and make them feel welcome. Great place committed to providing a great experience and great food. I will definitely be back and suggest it to others.

Quite literally the most delicious empanadas I’ve ever had. 10/10 will eat again. The owner (John Ramirez, I believe his name was) was extremely nice, as well as helpful. If excellent food and outstanding customer service is what you’re looking for, look no further.

Food was amazing. But I feel like that’s not enough, so I’m going to add how long I would be willing to drive for this specific food! I would drive up to 20 minutes for the salchipapa and Cuban sandwich. HOWEVER, I would easily drive 40 minutes-1 hour for this man’s empanadas. Y’all. I have been searching for months for a truly fantastic empanada and all of them were just so mediocre. These empanadas though…. I would eat just plain, unfilled empanada wrapping from this food truck, pay $5, and say “thank you.” And the filling…. I would probably buy in bulk if they would let me. Both elements were perfect and together it was like a whole symphony. Just perfect. Exactly what I have been looking for and very likely to become something I think about and reminisce on should we ever move out of Florida.

Yo! These empanadas from Big John are amazing. The sauces were like the cherry on top. The only things that can outshine the food is Big John's heart and passion. I love everything about The Empanada King, and I can't wait to come back to town just to get a bite.

The best empanadas and salchipapa I’ve ever had, and I mean it. Been eating them for years now.I never leave disappointed or hungry. You’re not only getting quality food but also quality service, I get treated like family every time. Go get some! You’ll thank me later:)

Hands down the best empanadas in town! My guy kills it every week with new creations! If you love crunchy, fresh, and flavorful empanadas YOU NEED TO COME HERE! Also, he has an incredible creamy garlic sauce! Do not sleep on this spot! 100/10!!! 🔥

Sooooo this place is 100% recommended! I had the beef empanada and tried his salchipappas!!! I'm in LOVE. I am not exaggerating. His empanadas are made fresh! And it's super affordable ❤️ the flavors are crazy over here ! Come check him out. You won't regret it. I found my new secret spot!

One of thee best empanadas I have ever ate. Amazing flavor and plenty of meat stuffed inside of the empanada it’s self. A lot of places don’t put enough filling in the empanada. But this one here is definitely one that won’t disappoint. Oh and let’s not forget amazing customer service and treats his customers with such a welcoming feeling.

Heard from several friends how good his food was and finally got to check out the King. Born and raised in Tampa I know what a good empanada is and the King's were both excellent and reasonably priced. The included sauces were both really good, each with just the right amount of tang. The most expensive thing on his menu were the salchipapas but it was huge, awesome and took until the next day to finish. It should also be said that the King is a hard working guy, you only have to speak to him for a minute to see how passionate he is about his food and business. End of the day your money is well spent here. Very highly recommended.

This place is amazing, the service was great, and the food even better!! I’ve had the salchipapa, pizza empanada, and buffalo chicken dip empanada...if you get the salchipapa you will need a friend to finish it, but it is so worth it👌🏼👌🏼
