Great food and atmosphere. Could be a little more attentive to their customers. Felt like I had to keep getting their attention for anything. Other than that, I will be going back. Awesome spot to get sushi 🍣.

Came here on a Saturday and it was pretty quiet. They give you edamame along with the wasabi and ginger which was nice. The rolls here are very good! Had the tuna hand roll and lobster roll, both were great!

Great Taste of Japanese cuisine. We had the assorted Sashimi, Ramen noodles, and California Roll Sushi and it was all great!!! The Sashimi tasted real fresh. This restaurant will be definitely on my Go-To List.

First time eating here, food was 👍 server was 👍 as well.. definitely will be back to try some other dishes..

Loooove this place! The service was great, very attentive to us, they also helped us with recommendations from the menu. It seemed like our food was ready pretty quickly. I had dinner here with my husband (who dislikes sushi, but loved this place) and our 2 kids (2, and 5). Great atmosphere for family dinners, plus they have beer. Everything looked clean and sanitary, nice restrooms. Glad to have found this gem! Try the Godzilla roll :)

The waitress who served me didn't do a good job, she brought things I didn't ask for, but the food was delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant.

I’ve been here a few times and it’s always excellent. We showed up before they even opened and the guy let us come in out of the heat and wait. Great service all around. Their sushi is amazing. The albacore roll is my favorite. It’s fresh and they make it right with the green onions. Their tempura rolls are really good too.

I've never liked sushi before when I've tried it but I met some family here and now I like it. Everything was fresh and flavorful and plated beautifully. It looked delicious and tasted even better. The service was good, attentive and very friendly and polite. I got a teriyaki chicken platter which came with two sides (I chose tuna roll and fried gyoza) and everything was delicious. I also got a Mountain Roll which was also phenomenal. Everything was very filling and everyone went home happy!

So yummy!! I've been to sushi places next to the beach that weren't as delicious and fresh as this place. So glad there's a great sushi place down the street from me. Would totally come back again and again

my order was different types of sushi and each one was particularly delicious. the attendants were very kind, always asking if we needed anything. the place was very clean and organized. I will definitely come back. If I could, I would give it a ten but I can only give it five stars because it's the best. You will not regret.

The food was AMAZING as always. The creamed cold sake was very refreshing. The sushi was HEAVENLY. But the customer service was OUTSTANDING. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED as one of the best sushi spots in Tehachapi.

Stopped by for a bite. Got in right away. I ordered a BMW roll (shrimp tempura, crabmeat, and eel) super yummy! BF got a spicy roll and some nigiri pieces. Everything was really great, flavorful and made us wish we had a bigger stomach! We will be back next time we are passing thru and want sushi.

We have lived here for 2 years and I have said I would never eat sushi more than an hour from the ocean.... Boy did I miss out for the last two years!!!! This is by far one of the best sushi/japanese restaurants I have ever been too! The fish was so fresh! The wait time was not bad at all, the inside was clean and the staff was friendly and professional! Based on the reviews I read we ordered The Mountain Roll, the BMW Roll, the Super Dragon Roll, the Ninja Roll and the Monster Roll. All of them were beyond my expectations, super fresh and very decision! I'm very allergic to ginger and our server was very accommodating of that. I will definitely be going back more regularly.

Hands down the best sushi place in the area. Great specials, great service, consistently good sushi and they have Kirin on tap. What more could you ask for.

We had a great meal and service here! Good came out quickly (which is great with 2 young kids). All the staff were friendly and checked on us regularly. Everything was delicious and good serving sizes. We will be back!

A great local place for sushi. The sushi is good and the prices are reasonable. There's also alternate dishes for those who don't appreciate the taste of raw fish :) There's usually tables available, or only a short wait to be seated. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is my choice place for sushi in Tehachapi.

Placed an order to go and the quality of the rolls were perfect. Will visit again as first choice for sushi in Tehachapi.

Since we eat only keto things we stopped eating Sushi rolls. now only eat sashimi. This place had good sashimi enjoyed eating out together here.

Loved the sushi rolls we got, very delicious and filling. The only thing is they need another wait staff. It got pretty busy while we were there. And we will be back 😊

I don't eat sushi, but I found I really enjoy the chicken teriyaki soba noodles. Just make sure to order that when you order your drinks, or you will get it much later than when the sushi gets to your table for others in your party.

Great food. Great service. Eating area is ok, could be updated a little. Sometimes the tables are a little sticky. Even with that said the service more than makes up for it. Our go to sushi spot here in town.

Good food, great service, reasonable prices

Stopped in around Noon on a Wednesday and there were only a few people there. We sat at the bar and ordered 4 rolls with an additional 2 California rolls to go for our kids. The food came out very fast and was good for the price. It's not the best sushi we've ever had, but we'll definitely be back.

Great food and atmosphere. I have read of problematic staff, but our waitress (serving 8 of us) was courteous and understanding. So kudos to her though I didn't get her name. Prices are decent and I'd definitely visit again.

Fast service, decent prices, good food, the atmosphere is what will keep you coming back. Friendly service. Staff was overwhelmed with customers but did good at keeping everyone topped off with drinks and made sure we always had what we needed

The food is amazing. The service is usually impeccable. I am not sure who the new women are that are working there now but... I will continue to go as the food is great and hopefully the new "servers" serve.

Nice place, clean and stuff was awesome definitely a yummy place to eat!

Sushi was ok, but not the best. The proportions for other food like the chicken teriyaki was extremely small for the price and the chicken was very bland as if it was unseasoned and baked rather than grilled as you'd expect.

OK food but no other real choice in Tehachapi. Only Tue & they were out of yellowtail & draft Sapporo beer. 👎

This is a nice restaurant overall but I didn't like the fact that the orders were confusing. They called the rolls but in all honesty people get multiple rolls and we ended up getting some rolls from other people at our table and had to switch in between remembering what we got. Not sure how to explain but it was not very functional. They should call name of the person and the roll. This would be more precise. A very strong smell of fried food inside, I'd prefer not to small like tempura when I walk out. Place needs a bit of an upgrade overall and some details curated. I spent 100 $ for 5 rolls and a dinner combo...

ate here last night for dinner with my family, got ramen & sushi. husband ended up throwing up ALL night along with both of us in & out of the bathroom, even our toddler was going through it. great service though.

Food is decent but the wait staff is cliquey. The front counter girl with dark hair is cold and borderline rude. We’ll definitely be eating at Midori now on.

My family said the sushi was average good. I couldn’t judge the quality of the food because they NEVER brought me my order. I ordered along with my family and after they were basically done eating I asked a guy that was working there if he could check my order. He never came back to say anything however kept bringing dishes to a large family that arrived after we did. I waited and asked our server who came back saying the kitchen had a larger order before mine!!! How???? We had been there for a good 25-30 min already. She said she didn’t know how the kitchen was working the orders and there wasn’t anything she could pretty much do. Absolutely irresponsible and not caring. They gave us a 10% discount for the “inconvenience”. Would not recommend this place at all after the careless response from the staff.

My husband took me for my birthday...We couldn't get service...People that came in after us ordered and received their food and we still hadn't been waited on... then when we finally flagged down a waitress she acted as though we were a bother because she had to write down our order. I ordered the lobster tail which had no description other than lobster tail ...so I assumed I was getting a lobster tail. It was chopped up with a teriyaki sauce that was not edible... $33 for a lobster that didn't taste anything like lobster...I didn't like any of the food. my husband liked the shrimp lovers roll I thought it was bland. I would never recommend anyone to go there. Also when we left there wasn't any recognition that we were even there. Most places thank you for coming not here it was very disappointing... it was the worst birthday dinner ever

Had to wait over 20 minutes just to have our order taken by a waitress who made us feel like we were bothering her. The food was not good. We will not go back there.
