Opiniones de Peony Temecula
Always freshly cooked, always delicious. The staff here is great. Been eating here for 15 years and it's always good.
Good service, huge portions, food tastes great, very clean. Highly recommend!
So grateful for quality and convenience! Peony' Restaraunt knows how to make a hungry, grumpy family come back to life. Always a pleasure to see you all!
Food is amazing and great portions. They seemed busy, but they were extremely kind and friendly to me.
This restaurant was delicious! Highly recommend. The plates are more than enough for a big group of people.
Great food and great service tonight! It's been soooo long since I have eaten Peonys Chinese food! Love it! Everything tasted amazing!
11-20-21 So I am sick and I ordered some soups with added in Cabbage and bean Sprouts and they added the extra and gave us extra soup. This restraunt has very kind employees. They care about their customers. Thankyou Peonys for taking care of us. You're food is always good and hearty and feels like a big warm hug. My husbands favorite Chinese Food Place ever. He has talked about Peonies in his sleep to me before. We went and had the House special Beef and chicken with Rice and eggrolls. That's our favorite meal to get. We are always full and satisfied when we leave. The staff is very friendly and always ready to answer questions and make friendly suggestions. 10/10 great.
Really great food and service. Not the best atmosphere to stay and eat. Prices may seem high but they give you a lot of great food for your money.
Absolutely fantastic food. Large portions. Clearly fresh. Atmosphere is bland but the food makes up for it. Very clean.
Love their food. And the give you such huge proportions at least on take out they do.👍👍👍
I've been going Peony Chinese Restaurant in Lake Elsinore since around 1997 and it is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants. To be honest I usally order the same thing because I believe its the best they have to offer. My wife isn't a big eater, so we usally share. They're prices are higher than fast food Chinese restaurants, but I believe it's way better than fast food Chinese. I always have the House special chicken lunch. It comes with rice which i substitute with lomein noodles and it also comes with a salad which I substitute cream cheese wonton. I then add a side of steamed rice and a small order of Wonton soup which serves 2-3. By ordering this way we get a lot of different flavors and we actually have left overs. Just DELICIOUS!! Oh and I almost forgot they have a beautiful dining room as well!!
I’ve been coming to peonys for years and it never disappoints. My favorite Chinese food spot in town. Would highly, highly recommend. Their orange chicken is a must-have
Love this place! The best Chinese place I have ever eaten at. They are nice and service is fast. There's nothing you won't like on the menu. I would definitely recommend this place!
First time dining here and I thought the food was very good and plenty of it. In an Asian restaurant and waited on by (2) Hispanics who were awesome! The service was outstanding!
Been going here since I was a little girl. It still remains my family's favorites and we have very good memories here, just miss the large fish tank! 🐟
The staff is always in a good mood. The service and the quality of the food are amazing. Their sizzling rice soup is my go to. Also their rice is deliciousss!
This place has been in Temecula for 20 years. There is a good reason why. If you want real Chinese food like the kind from NY, but here in CA...then stop reading and give it a try. You will not be disappointed.
I've been coming to Peonys for nearly 20 years and its Definitely one of my favorite places to eat the food is amazing and the service has always been great The portions are huge and they have some great lunch specials
Delicious, authentic tasting Chinese food with own to offer. Very decent prices, & big portions. My family was happy with it!
Hadn't been here in years. A good 10nyears or so. The food did not disappoint
One of the best Chinese restaurants I have been too. My family and I have always gone here. Great food a great service.
I have been going to this place for years. The food has always been good. The portions are generous and the staff is extremely upbeat and helpful.
I miss the original Peony on Rancho California (in the Albertson shopping center). However, I enjoyed their freshly cooked foods at this new location. I ordered the food twice in this past few months. I was not too fond of the Moo Shu Chicken. I have had better ones. Other than that it was a good take out Chinese Dinner.
Love this place! Always very friendly if I choose to sit and eat there or if I'm getting takeout. I usually order the chicken chow mein or, if I'm there for lunch, the shrimp with vegetables 😋 I would recommend trying to go around lunch time to sit in so you can get a free bowl of egg flour soup (sadly they don't give you the free bowl of soup if you get their lunch takeout). I have never been disappointed getting food from here
Absolutely fantastic!!! This was a great experience! The staff is extremely friendly and inviting and the chow mein was easily the best I've ever had in my life! I just wish I lived closer beacuse if I did I would be eating here everyday!
Always the best Chinese food in the USA. Coming here is like going in a time machine and going back 10 years. This place never changed, they still have amazing people, amazing food, and just an all around beautiful experience! Every time I come to California I HAVE to stop here!
Excellent Chinese food. Whenever we are leaving wine country and want Chinese food, we will stop here. Nice individuals and so far, everything I have tasted has been excellent. We have been here three or four times and have not been disappointed.
This is by far my favorite Chinese restaurant. I actually live in San Diego but I frequently drive through this area. I try to stop every chance I get because their food is worth it. The paper wrap chicken is the best I've ever had!
I grew up going to Peony back when they were located in the Albertson’s shopping center. This is by far the best Chinese food I’ve had in SoCal. The service is fantastic too. I now live in San Diego, and still make the drive when I want good Chinese food.
What a great place for sit down Chinese food. The whole staff is friendly, fast, attentive, and efficient. The food is also very good and huge portions even for family style. We will definitely be back.
I moved out of state 15 years ago, and have never found an orange chicken even half as good. Let me tell you, it's just as I remembered, and IM SO HAPPY I got to eat my Plato's chicken again!
Great food! I love coming here! I've been coming here for years and love it. Recommend dining in that take out. It you order take out, the portions are smaller and seem mushy. Just eat there! The staff is nice and very clean. It's modern but with splashes of Chinese culture (like cool komonos!).
Food is amazing. I've been coming here for over 20 years. Flavorful and fresh ingredients. I always get the chow mein and tofu. This is a family owned restaurant and some of the staff have been working here for 20 + years.
Food was delicious, family friendly dining area where our granddaughter could play when she got board, great service. Would definitely go there again.
We have been eating here literally since they opened. I believe it was 1992. The food is ALWAYS fresh and hot. They make it when you order it. You will not be disappointed. Hint: Add vegetables to your entre. My husband and family know my go to place. If I am ill..if I want quick family meal or if they want to take me to lunch, they do not need to guess. Live this place. Oh...and sooo clean.
Very large portions in their lunch specials with a very clean and modern dining area (which is not something I usually expect from similarly sized restaurants). My only minor issue was that the cheese wontons were not very good but that is definitely not enough to warrant anything less than a five star review.
Best Chinese food in Temecula!!! And they pack in a bunch of food when ordering take out!! Love the orange beef and pork fried rice !!!!
Great food, fast and friendly service! Peony's never disappoints. The house special chicken is my go to. I ordered food to go on Valentine's day and the service was fast and friendly. Also got the Cream cheese wontons, chow mein and the lemon chicken. All were great choices. The chicken dishes came with white rice. We had tons of food and lots of leftovers. Great option if you're looking for good Chinese food in the Temecula area
Have not been to peony for a while ... VERY GOOD FOOD ... VERY GOOD PRICES. indoor seating.
Great place, been going for years. Good food at a reasonable price. Not real fancy just clean and good food. The folks that work there are always attentive.
We LOVE Peony!! The "crew" hasn't changed in 25 years. Their food is consistently delicious!
Really like Peony, great prices great service. Give them a try. Been going there for 20+ years.
Just happened to stop in on a quick break. I’m not from this area but happened to stumble across this place. Super good. Extremely fast and the staff was so kind! I’ll remember where this place is located!! Ty so much!
The house chicken and the orange beef are delightful!
Best Chinese food in Temecula! The ingredients are fresh, the food is cooked to perfection and the flavors are there. The portions are very generous and you will not leave hungry. Hospitality is there and the employees are on top of it. We never needed a refill and we're constantly getting attention from our server. The price for the food you get is totally worth it. Recommend 100 percent. 👌🏼
Probably the best Chinese in Temecula. Be hungry when you go, family style.. Alot of food for the value...
The food was fresh and delicious and the service was outstanding. We called ahead to order in and although our food was made fresh, it was served very quickly. When we were called to leave suddenly, someone came to help us get everything boxed up efficiently. Thank you!
The cream cheese wontons changed my life. There, I said it. They're unbelievably good. I love them. My kids love them. My wife loves them. They're perfect. The edges are perfectly crisp, and the inside is wonderfully creamy. We've been coming here for over 15 years, and every meal has been delicious. It's been mostly the same employees the entire time too. It's a special place. Speaking of special, try the house special chicken. Actually, try anything, it's all great.
Awesome food. Very large dishes. Be prepared to take some home. Price was perfect. Fed 5 adults with 4 take home boxes (we divided the left overs equally into the cartoons to create full meals) all for under $80 + tip. We ordered 3 entrees (orange chicken, curry chicken, garlic shrimp)(a healthy amount of white rice is included), plus 2 sides (simple fried rice, so good and house chow mien, this is no ordinary chow mien, it has chicken, beef and shrimp, yes all 3 in 1). Granted there may be some nights we could finish more but we'd be stuffed to sickness. Also, its a very relaxed atmosphere, TV playing and diner type tables and chairs. And to top it off the food came out fast. Go for it. You'll love it.
The guy who was helping in the carry out section was friendly and helpful . I was not able to ask his name though. Place is really clean , restroom is clean and you can see where they cook. I ordered their party tray of Beef Lo Mein which is really good . And one party tray of Orange chicken . Has to come back here again to try other selection in their menu . And will try to dine in . It seems atmosphere is nice inside their dining area.
This place never lets us down. Food is always cooked and seasoned well. We drive about 30 minutes out to eat here. Waiters are always friendly, accommodating and always available.
This is my favorite restaurant to go to for Chinese when I’m in Temecula. The portions are huge and the service fast and friendly. I always get the chicken curry, no bell peppers and sub broccoli and my beau always gets the house chicken with brown rice. We love taking the leftovers home because it’s an additional 2-3 meals for lunch or dinner! So delicious!
This place is awesome!! Super friendly staff, very clean, fantastic food, and huge portions! We've been coming here for years, I always get the cashew chicken (first picture) and it's always perfect! Sweet and pungent chicken is the second picture, sooooo good 👍🏻 😋 👌 You won't be disappointed!
This place has never disappointed in 25+ years, still amazing food, still amazing people, and a hometown gem.
Great service and wasn’t too busy, when we got there.

GREAT FOOD AND LOTS OF IT. I have been a customer of Peony's for over 25 years and they are consistantly great food and good prices.
Ordered two house chickens today, couldn’t be happier. Amazing quality, LOVE it so so much. Staff was super friendly. My first time coming to the shop, everything was so clean and kept so organized. I would highly recommend this place. One of our family members bought food for Christmas and I was hooked from there. Will definitely be back.
Found this place on Google and was not disappointed 🙏 The food was delicious 😋 We ordered the House Chicken, shrimp chow mein and the chicken pot stickers. Everything came out quick and piping hot, which I love. The staff is super attentive, quick and they speak Spanish which is a plus. Definitely recommend if you're in the Temecula area.
This review's been a long time coming, I'm a long time customer and truthfully enjoy this very delicious food. The staff is beyond phenomenal and super super friendly always. This is hands down the best Chinese cuisine you'll find in the greater Temecula area. When you're feeling like you don't want to cook dinner call them up and place an order you won't regret it.

Excellent food. Great service for take out. Prices have definitely gone up recently.
Great service and good flavor, I will definitely return when I'm in the area. I would recommend this place to friends and family.
Had the house chicken and a few cream cheese wontons. I absolutely cannot express the deliciousness of these wontons. Cooked to perfection. The chicken was delicious as well but a tad over cooked which is why I cant give it 5 stars but the flavor was on point. Perfect steamed rice. Whoever their chef is mastered texure cooking. Made eating their food all the better.
It seems like this kind of resturaunt is becoming more popular, at least in southern california. You go in, order your food, then they bring it to you, and wait on you... Foodwise, I recommend the orange chicken, and the sweet and sour pork, I really enjoyed those, and my husband really liked the garlic shrimp.
One of my favorite restaurants when I lived in that area..try the cashew chicken..yum..was a little disappointed in the orange chicken., hence the 4 stars..tasty but too chewy..dry..good prices too
Food good as usual. Service always good, too. Atmosphere, eating in is too warm. Rarely have A/C on cool enough for us.
Service Excellent through our the meal. Everyone very pleasant and helpful. Egg Flour Soup very good, Cream Cheese Won Tons were fabulous. Beef & Broccoli was best I have ever had. Orange Chicken was great. Our third entree was Lemon Chicken was the only one that was not up to par, chicken was just fried battered and cut in strips, a lemon sauce was served on the side, was very thin and didn't stick to the chicken, not very good and it was cold, so we asked them to heat it up for us.. Steamed Rice was included, and there was plenty of food, had lots of leftovers, that they packed for us, including togo cups of all the sauces. Overall a great experience!
Everything was good, but none of it was great. Fast service and definitely made to order. If you’re looking for a good meal, served quickly, at a reasonable price, this is a good choice. If you’re looking for a meal so good that you’ll look forward to having it again soon, I don’t think that’s what you’ll find here.

Besides the front counter man denying they had a Tomato beef dish on their menu even though clearly it was stated in the website I showed him. The Chinese rice was dry and he was a total jerk when I asked for the Tomato beef and Lomain he became belligerent and said the Lomain is the same as the Chowmein eventhough I know the difference and I pointed out both were on the menu. I was floored. Bad customer service and the majority of food not so good. I will say the shrimp dish I ordered was amazing. Get that front counter guy outta there.
Food was delicious, however, they rushed us to order, eat and leave, when we were there 1/2 hour before they stated they were closing. They said dining in was not a problem, but came by before 8pm and said we had to leave because they were closing. I've NEVER had an experience like that before. Very poor judgement on management's part.
The Chicken Egg Foo Young was not what I expected. I'm used to and love the East Coast version of this dish. Was hoping to get it again here. I'm talking about egg omelets filled with meat, bean sprouts and other veggies in a thick brown sauce. Here, the omelets tasted like eggy bread dumplings with very little veggies or other ingredients inside. Bland. Instead of a brown sauce, there was an entire different dish served on top. Kind of like a Chicken Kung Pao with battered chicken chunks, water chestnuts, pea pods and carrots. As a matter of fact, I didn't discover the omeletes underneath until I had a serving at home. I thought they gave me the wrong dish. Didn't like the omelets at all. Tasteless filler. But the chicken dish on top was good. Nice peanut flavor. Not enough sauce to wet the rice, though. I suspect this is a good restaurant. I just need to figure out their menu and find things I'd like. The dinner-sized dish was enough for four good meals for me, so great value for money.

I used to love this place years ago but was a total fail this time . Service was friendly but the food was not even close to what it used to be . I ordered the house special and she had the orange chicken...we think I couldnt tell what was what? No orange flavor in either and the meat was unidentifiable. I will try again next time im in the area but almost $40 for lunch portions of mystery meat is a bust in my book. Rather just go to my local grab and go spot. Friendly service is why the generous score and 2nd chance down the road.

I don't see how they can be so highly rated. My order seemed like reheated leftovers. not very tasty and a rather unimaginative recipe. I would not recommend Peony.
Kung pao chicken wasn't spicy at all! It was dry as well. I know everyone has different likes and dislikes. But their Kung pao chicken isn't good!
I ordered orange chicken. My food burnt chicken covered in orange sauce. I was in a hurry to go to next meeting so I ate a little but left about half. I have had better lunches at other locations
Food was hot, but very bland, mushy and pricey... $65.00 for take out ... three dishes, four small egg rolls and soup. Very disappointed because once you are home with take out, it is too much trouble to go back and complain. Ordered beef and broccoli... broccoli was way over cooked... no spice in the spicy dishes marked spicy... Ordered Wonton soup... very bland with little taste so I added the duck sauce and soy sauce for flavor and the fresh veggies (carrots, snow pea pods, mushrooms) made it okay. As I am writing this, I recall we went here two years ago and waited for nearly half an hour for take out and they gave our order to the wrong customer as we waited, so we waited for them to prepare it again. We will not go back for a third bad experience.
Had a big urge for Chinese food, after finding our usual place Fannies Wok unexplicitly closed on a Sunday, we decided to go to Peony's after reading the good reviews. We were very disappointed. We knew we were in trouble when within 5 minutes of ordering our entire order appeared, soup, appetizer and main course. This might be a positive to some people, but to us it means they didn't prepare the food fresh. The portions are huge, but not appealing. The service was good, but when the tab was almost $70 for the three of us, we definitely won't be back.
The quality was pretty much what you'd expect from your average Chinese takeout spot. Nothing special, but the prices were a bit more than I'd like to pay for just okay food. I spent as much if not more than if I'd ordered from Chef K, and the quality isn't even in the same arena. Maybe it's just because I was expecting the usual Americanized Chinese stuff. The meat seemed a bit tough, not velveted, and the flavors weren't what I was expecting from Chinese food. The house chicken, for example, was very salty, which isn't unexpected in Chinese takeout, but it wasn't really savory. Hot and sour soup had peas and shrimp in it, which was unexpected. Leaned more into a Thai soup than the usual. Overall, it was aggressively passable. Ordering was easy, but the prices were a bit high, and the food was just average. If you're in the mood for your run of the mil Chinese takeout, you might want to look elsewhere. Probably won't be ordering again.
It was ok..not an authentic Asian food restaurant. Service quick...10 minutes for food. Cashier pleasant enough. Expected it to be better based on ratings.
Weird food, the "chinese crepes" were just flour tortillas and the "sweet plum" sauce waa just bbq sauce. The food didnt taste bad, just weird and it made my stomach hurt, caused loose stool
We got our food for takeout we ordered the house chicken and the house beef. The chicken dish was too salty and so was the beef. We’re disappointed.
Their food is disgusting..The Egg Foo Yong was beyond disgusting..They make it ahead of time not fresh..So gross it tasted like it had sat for a week..What is going on with these disgusting Chinese restaurants food..Yuk never again
The food is subpar. Noodles are mush, the meat has a weird texture, the portion size for what you pay is laughable. Far better Chinese places in the area. Won’t be going back there
Very authentic in that it looks like it was decorated by communists. Huge portion of the worst sesame chicken I’ve ever had. Service was great though.

Chinese restaurant but all the staff are Latinos, food doesn't even taste like Chinese food and their price is so different from the pictures of their menu to the actual prices when you pick up your order. Too expensive!
we ordered Mongolian beef and also beef and broccoli and the meat was so mushy it was disgusting. Call to let them know and their excuse was you lived far from Temecula to Perris that’s why it became mushy. Will never eat there again $60 down the drain
My take out had burnt egg rolls and watered down hot mustard sauce ( as if they were saving money)... I will never spend my money there again EVER !!
Terrible service I go there 30 minutes before closing and the staff want to make up a lie and say you can only order for takeout and not dining in. Employees straight up have no regard for family and for customers because they are lazy and want to get off early so they rather turn away customers please boycott these people. I told them they lost a customer the employees straight up said they did not care.
Awful, just awful. On line “Mushu” dishes listed at 14.00 were 19.00 when I arrived. Second. “Mushu” Chicken at this price would be made with breast, not overly cooked dark meat strapped with chucks of fat. Also, no Shiitake mushroom, or any for that matter, no green onion and no spices or seasoning at all. Just onion, scrambled egg and a little cabbage. Horrible. 4 orders of Mushu for a party at almost 100.00? Pathetic. Aweful. Really.
It's really not good. Too salty. Not much other flavor profile. Very "American" Chinese food. Panda Express tastes better, unfortunately. Wontons with cream cheese filling... Ugh. Better options in Temecula, that's for sure.
My family and I got three dishes and the egg flower soup to share. All of the food was not good, like not even edible really. We were extremely disappointed and will never go there again. I wish I had that money back instead of that experience.
The food was absolutely horrible. Not authentic Asian or Chinese at all. I can't express how awful it was.
Placed a phone order at 1:15pm. They told me it would be 10 minutes. I got there at 1:40pm and my order was still not ready. I told how much longer for my order to be ready and they had the nerve to tell me five more minutes! I asked what is the point of calling it in ahead of time? They said with a straight face "we can't start it because sometimes customers don't come in to pick it up!" Are they for really! What business on their right mind thinks like this! Unbelievably worst service experience ever. Food is great but service needs training.
Way to expensive. $15 minimum for a meat and white rice, anything else is an additional charge. Did not even smell that good. No wonder it looked empty when I walked in. Hope yall lower your prices or close down
I was discriminated at this place. When I walked in I asked the cashier if I can sit down so I can place my order. Then he said to order first and pay then I can be sited. Then I see other customers walking in and sitting down and the same cashier brings them the menu so they can order and after they eat he brought them the check. I don't see why I wasn't treated the same way and I was asked to pay first. Like if I was going to ran out the door or something. Oh, and by the way their orange chicken and chowmain is nasty. I don't recommend this place at all. The cashier is rude and doesn't have manners. He shouldn't be working in this place if I were the owner he would be fired for what he did to me.
Flavor wasn't what I was looking for. Not the typical Chinese food. It was actually just tolerable. Cost was $60 for one plate which seemed excessive. The tea was good. Will not return.
I originally rated this place really high, however our food was horrible today. If you like egg fu yung AVOID THIS PLACE. Our food had very little taste. I don't think I will come back. I paid 57.00 mid day on a weekday for 3 dishes. I feel like I wasted money and time fighting traffic for such poor food. Note to cooks. Egg fu Yung has gravy, no veggies and egg. I don't know what you made. The steamed rice was mush. The only thing worth eating was the shrimp fried rice. The lo mein was soggy and over cooked. Very disappointed!

This restaurant does not provide an itemized receipt so one never knows how much menu items cost. If you get home after take out and discover something is missing from your order, and call, they simply say you didn’t pay for that. This happens even if they read back the order with the initial phone order. You never know if you paid for missing food with your pick up and will be forced to drive back and pay for something that has already been paid for but you can never know because there is no receipt. Rude and hurried on the phone. Very shady way to do business in my opinion.
If I could give it a 0 then I would.. fried rice had absolutely NO FLAVOR., proteins were over cooked and rice was as undercooked.. maybe it’s to reevaluate who you have cooking In your kitchen and hire authentically..
This restaurant does not provide an itemized receipt so one never knows how much menu items cost. If you get home after take out and discover something is missing from your order, and call, they simply say you didn’t pay for that. This happens even if they read back the order with the initial phone order.
