Opiniones de Restaurante El Chilaquil Tepic
A pleasant surprise! I stumbled upon this place while walking down the street, and the flavor was amazing. The staff was very friendly, and the prices were fair! The decor and music were perfect for a truly enjoyable breakfast!
The owner is very handsome, good service, I recommend him.
I rarely give 5 stars, but this place felt comforting. It's a small but cozy space, from the layout to the service. And the food was definitely the best part. Excellent presentation and flavor (especially when you're a foreigner and have a hard time adjusting to the changing seasons). I would definitely return and recommend it.
Excellent place. I've been passing by this place my whole life and never went in. They live up to their name; without a doubt, they have the best chilaquiles I've had in all of Tepic so far. They really specialize in this dish, as well as others. Excellent balance between price and quality of service. If you love chilaquiles, this is the place to go.
Good food nice cost
Really good food! !loved it.
Al pinchi wey putaso.. You ever in tepic you have to come to this spot great food great service 👌🏽💪🏼
Good variety of chilaquiles, but I didn't find a vegetarian option. They make their own corn tamales, which are delicious and not too sweet, made with butter. The refried beans were tasty. The portion was sufficient, but I expected a larger plate. Good value for the price. The place is small but has a very unique decor; it's worth checking out.
The actual rating is 4.5, but since the general opinion is higher, I'll leave it at 4 to balance things out. This nice spot in the heart of Tepic, a couple of blocks from "Parque a la Madre" (Mother's Park), is a good option for those who enjoy chilaquiles. The concept of this place is to offer specialty chilaquiles in different flavors and colors, which they more than deliver on. The establishment doesn't have its own parking, and since it's such a centrally located restaurant, this can be a problem. Adding to the issue is paying for public parking; there are several nearby, and they aren't necessarily expensive. The place isn't very big; in fact, it's not very suitable for large groups since there isn't much space between tables. Ideal for small families or couples. The food is good, but nothing extraordinary. Perhaps my expectations were too high, and that's why I didn't find it amazing. The variety of ingredients and flavors is extensive (from traditional chicken to mole and even shrimp), and the chilaquiles are the house specialty, so it's a must-try. They also offer other traditional Mexican dishes like enchiladas. The chilaquiles were good but a bit watery; they lacked the right consistency, which was a drawback for me. The drink shown in the photos is a blend of orange, pineapple, and strawberry, which is quite tasty but a bit pricey for its size (about 200 ml; the photos make it look bigger). Positive points: - Easy to get to - Mexican cuisine - Wide variety of chilaquiles flavors Negative points: - Not necessarily cheap - The chilaquiles lack consistency - No parking 4 stars. It could be a good option, but if you're not looking for extravagant chilaquiles, another regular breakfast spot might be a better choice.
The place is really beautiful, very creative and traditional. However, the prices are excessive. I can't believe they charge $120 for three tortillas that aren't even properly made. We were shocked to learn that chilaquiles for three people cost $800. The food is good, but it's not worth the price.
Very well decorated place, we were in Tepic and I saw a review that it was very good but no, the food was nothing special, not very well served but cheap, the service x
A MIXED EXPERIENCE My experience with the food was good; the chilaquiles were delicious, freshly prepared and served with salad and beans. BUT the problem was the coffee and the service. The coffee was terrible, it tasted burnt, and they didn't have any other options (they don't serve traditional Mexican coffee). Upon arrival, they bring you bread (without telling you it costs extra), making you think it's complimentary (like in other places). At the end, they charge you an exorbitant price for it on the bill without any prior notice. Regarding the price in relation to the quality of the food and service, I don't recommend it. The place is very nice, but it's not worth it. For just two people, you can easily spend 350-400 pesos. There are cheaper places that are much better. If you're visually oriented and enjoy the decor, this place is for you. If you're looking for good food and good service, this isn't the place for you.
