Bar storico di corso Re Umberto , piacevolissima scoperta per me che non risiedeva a Torino. È stato una bellissima esperienza entrarvi e poterlo ammirare in tutta la sua eleganza , lavoro a poca distanza da questo splendido bar nella cornice torinese e devo dire che farvi colazione o pausa caffè al suo interno è una coccola come poche . Qualità della pasticceria altissima , location mozzafiato e gestione del servizio elegante curata e professionale. Un bar sicuramente da metter in lista se si è amanti dell' eleganza e del buon gusto sia estetico che culinario . Un pezzo di storia che ancora oggi si conferma essere un eccellenza in tutto ciò che lo contraddistingue dai prodotti finora l più piccolo dettaglio . Davvero complimenti !

Venerdì scorso, 12 dicembre, per festeggiare la laurea di Simone, siamo arrivati nel pomeriggio, al Caffè Platti per porre rimedio ad un pranzo mancato, causa ritardo del cerimoniale accademico. Siamo stati accolti subito con grande cortesia e fatti accomodare al tavolo dopo pochi minuti anche se eravamo più di dieci persone. Il Caffè è locale molto bello, tradizionale, curato nei dettagli. Ambiente accogliente oltre le aspettative. Classici tramezzini di grande varietà...Tutto molto buono. Grazie a tutto il personale, squisito nell'ospitalità...

Great café with a nice list of aperitif selections. The vermut tasting allows you to try 3 vermouths from a relatively extensive list. The service was very friendly, and the table service comes with a small selection of appetizers. The space is baroque and elegant, and a very nice spot for meeting friends for coffee or a drink. It is a bit on the pricey side, but worth it for the beautiful atmosphere. We did have a lot of fruit flies to contend with, which is no fault of the restaurant, but somewhat annoying when trying to enjoy sweets or vermouth.

Our group has Sunday breakfast every week. We found it positive and more delicious in the food taste here. Also service was on time and blissful. It was a little crowded in the morning but the overall vibe was awesome. I insist all to try once. ⏩Satisfied ❤️

Walking by this place a few times, we finally entered for breakfast and returned for our last breakfast in Torino. Bicerin with cornetti (Italian croissants) and cookies (to dunk in the Bicerin). We enjoyed this Bicerin the most!!! Every place makes their own, and we found OUR favorite a few blocks from our Hotel. Next time I have to try their Maroon Glacee (I kind of overdid it in Genova and needed a break).

Great place to be which works since early morning on the bank holidays. Nice outdoor seating, but noisy a bit. Classy atmosphere inside. Not a place for European breakfast, but you can have coffee/juice/bakery/pastries here. English speaking

Fermati per un caffè al volo dopo pranzo, buonissimi i baci di dama. Ho comprato i gianduiotti, ma non mi hanno fatto impazzire. Bel locale storico, con personale attento. Unica pecca, per un posto così, direi la toilette, che è da rivedere.

Bellissimo locale , a due passi del centro di Torino. È uno dei bar più storici di Torino, mi è piaciuto davvero un sacco, sembra un palazzo reale. Abbiamo preso un caffè con panna ed un caffè Torino , che era con panna amaretti e liquore all’amaretto, devo dire che è eccezionale. Servizio molto cordiale e professionale, i prezzi un po’ alti, . Consiglio di provare, per poi farsi una bella passeggiata in centro!

Nice hot chocolate (though not very sweet) and bicerin and a good selection of little biscuits but service was a bit lacklustre and the interior was old fashioned but a bit ‘faded glory’. There were a lot of beggars outside hassling customers on the exterior seating.

Siamo andati in due per un caffè pomeridiano, in totale la spesa è stata di oltre 6 euro, dovuti quasi per il 50% servizio al tavolo, 1,5 euro a persona (che, se come noi ci si dovesse mettere fuori, risulta essere eccessivo, non di certo giustificabile con un biscottino insapore). La qualità del caffè è discreta, l'atmosfera interna è accogliente mentre fuori son presenti tavoli sotto i portici torinesi o anche al di fuori di essi. Servizio discreto.

Durante la mia mattinata itinerante a Torino, mi fermo qui per prendere un paio di cosine da mangiare camminando. Prendo un cornetto alla crema e uno con le mandorle, devo dire entrambe buone però sinceramente mi aspettavo più varietà nei dolci perché hanno un sacco di cornetti con vari ripieni però non c’è una quantità di torte e dolci diversi da avere molta più scelta

Purtroppo è stata una delusione: il locale sarà anche storico, ma purtroppo poco curato ed il bagno era vergognoso, peggio di un bagno della stazione. Anche questi servizi fanno la differenza per un locale storico e conosciuto in Torino. Gli addetti al banco caffetteria sembravano poco entusiasti di essere lì e parlavano dei fatti loro.

Il bar ha senza dubbio un fascino antico e un’atmosfera particolare, che lo rende unico nel panorama torinese. Purtroppo, la nostra esperienza è stata rovinata da alcuni aspetti che ci hanno deluso. In primo luogo, il servizio non ci è sembrato all’altezza: la cameriera che ci ha servito indossava un gilet visibilmente sporco e non ha mostrato il minimo accenno di sorriso o cortesia. Un dettaglio che, in un locale di questo livello, risulta davvero poco professionale. In secondo luogo, la pulizia dei bagni lascia a desiderare: sia quello femminile che quello maschile erano sporchi e poco curati, con cattivo odore. Per un locale che punta a essere altolocato, questo è inaccettabile e compromette l’esperienza complessiva. Peccato, perché il locale ha un grande potenziale e un’atmosfera davvero unica. Speriamo che possano migliorare questi aspetti essenziali di accoglienza e igiene.

Horrible service and incredibly expensive prices for stale biscuits. We were looking for some Gobbino hor cholate and since the shop is next to it we asked if they served their hot chocolate and they said they did (a lie). we waited 20min in the queue, then we're served by an incredibly rude waitress, the hot chocolate was good (but not Gobbino's), the biscuits (€17) were stale and because one of us asked for the afternoon tea they did not provide the base biscuits with the other hot chocolate. DO NOT GO IN!!

Love to discover the places

I went with friend of mine. My friend found this place as a historical cafe but I didn’t expect that it’s going to cost cappuccino with small sweet is going to be €11 even though we decided to sit outside ( because they are charging for inside service) The service wasn’t good as I expected and nowhere written any price coffee either cakes ( not fair with costumers). I didn’t find any special taste of cake nor coffee sorry. Covid regulation were not respected by waiters. I really don’t recommend to anyone. Wast of money for nothing.
