I sometimes have the Steve's staff make me a full-on double char burger with chili cheese, extra tomatoes and pickles, large fries and one of their amazing REAL chocolate ice cream shakes. You can actually see one of the ladies scoop REAL chocolate ice cream out of the bin, and make you the real thing. I DO wish however that Steve's offered chocolate malted shakes, but they don't, and I don't know why. All you have to do is add malt powder and blend like they normally do. Malts are addictive! Anyway, I have to admit that I have not had too many items off of their menu, except their breakfast burrito, which I always have them customize to suit my personal tastes and dietary needs. That's what's good about Steve's Char Burger. They will prepare the food the way I want it. Sometimes you have to pay extra, and sometimes you don't. It depends on what you are asking them to do. Sometimes I actually pay less. Like when I get a breakfast burrito and I ask for no cheese and no meat...then they deduct that from the original price. 1. Good food. 2. Made to order...so be patient, good food takes a while to prepare. 3. Always a smiling, friendly and helpful staff. (Don't forget to tip! I do...every time. We're all working class people. Right? 4. A very CLEAN restaurant, the counters and dining area and in the food prep area. 5. Prices are fair.

We typically visit a different Steve's location, but have found ourselves at this location twice recently and I have to say, I really enjoy it. The food is good, and they have some different menu options from the other location we visit.

Always delicious service is always great although you have to wait a few minutes but it's worth the wait you know your food is going to be fresh and delicious!

Over 20 years I’ve been going to Steve’s They have a very wide selection of food. from anything to everything I will add photos soon tonight everybody was hungry and ate pretty fast I did not have time to take photos zucchini fries a burger combo with a vanilla shake unbelievable fish sandwich and everybody’s favorite chili cheese fries! It was a good choice I will add photos in the near future.

This restaurant has been one of my All-Time Favorite burger places to go to ever since it was built back in the 1970s when I remember riding a little BMX bicycle around in the large dirt pit that was dug there before the foundation for the restaurant itself was laid at that time and I was maybe seven or eight years old. I was just there today and I was Very Pleased to find that the quality of Burgers, Fries and Drinks is still among the Top Notch BEST to be found Anywhere! The management and employees of the restaurant are Very Courteous, Kind And Professional and provided Excellent Customer Service to me and as usual as well, the restaurant is kept Very Clean At All Times while serving GREAT food that I enjoyed VERY MUCH as I sat there eating this afternoon all at the same time! (Double Cheeseburger with Fries and a small Rootbeer). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant to Anyone who enjoys having EXCELLENT Burgers, French Fries, Drinks that are VERY Flavorful and NOT weak and watered down, and who also enjoys a variety of other types of sandwiches and food that they also offer here as well! 👍 This place is Just Plain YUMMY! They also even have a drive-thru for it as well making it Even More Convenient to get food there! 😀 All In All, a GREAT Restaurant!

I have been coming to this fast food shop for as long as I remember and I love it each time I go there. The family pack is the best deal when you are going with a group of friends or with your family. Adding to it the burgers are the best that I have ever tasted. Of course there are some other fast food shops that has better burgers then here but the thing about this shop that they have not changed the recipe for anything for years. This place is a must

I come here with my family for breakfast in the weekends sometimes. We also sometimes have the family pack which is a great deal of everyone wants burgers. The people are pretty nice here and the place seems to always be clean. They used to have good baklava but they don't have it anymore.

Great food. Get the veggie omelet but instead of hash browns get beans 🫘 and instead of toast get corn fried tortilla with the green salsa

The best breakfast burrito in town

Upon entering first thing I noticed was how impeccable clean & organized this whole establishment is plus ample parking. The Greeting was Wholesome & Welcoming 👍. Has the Patty-Melt on sourdough & grilled onions my son & his friend both had the Cheese Burger specials with a root-beer float. All 3 of us were happily satisfied with the meal & over experience. UPDATE: My family was able to stop and eat lunch here on Saturday. It was burges and breakfast burritos. Everything was as good as we remembered. I love this location of Steve's the best. The also have the drive-thru if you want it to go for sure. I've had many tasty meals from here. The Breakfast burritos with bacon are my favorite. Always ask for the salsa, it is freshly made and delicious. It's not hot but definitely not mild. It has a little kick. But this Steve's is the only one that has it out of the 3 in Torrance. But I have eaten the 2 egg breakfast with bacon or sausage and 2 pancakes deal as well. I also enjoy the burgers oh and the Steak sandwich. Their fries are very delicious. I like fries that are crispy but have soft centers, like Steak Fries. The fries here are not as wide as a Steak Fry but they are up there on my favorite list. If you aren't in the mood for typical diner fare the also have Mexican food too.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I have never had a problem with the food or service and I have eaten here over 20 times. The staff is perfect and Always pleasant, the food (especially the burgers and Turkey Club) is Perfect 99% of the time.. The 1% is fries and 9 out of 10 times they are perfect!!! I always ask for extra crispy and they are THE ONLY SPOT THAT HAVE EVER GOT IT RIGHT !!

Excellent chicken gyro, chicken tasted seasoned and authentic. Pita was fresh and tzatziki was great.

Delicious flame broiled burgers. The onion rings are that classic taste that I've missed since I was last here as a child. Drove here from San Diego!

First time going here and is probably one of the top 3 charbroiled burger spots I’ve been to. We got California Burger with chili cheese fries and drink. It comes with 1000 islands sauce, bacon, avocado (cheese is additional) Double cheese burger combo. These burgers off the bat look so delicious and juicy. They taste delicious too. The fries were a bit soft, I would prefer a bit crunchier. We waited about 5min for the food which was pretty quick. All that came out to $32 which isn’t bad for some pretty good burgers.

Hasn't changed much in 10 years. Burgers, chili cheese fries and onion rings. I swear there was an orange bang machine there but I've not seen it for so long. Well, it's a good place to get your go-to flame broiled Burger and onion rings. I suggest skipping the lettuce and tomatoes because they don't have the greatest vegetables. I actually take mine home and put spinach and beefsteak tomato on mine. Yum!

Pastrami Sandwich is pretty damn good here..thinly sliced pastrami just like how I like them. Wish they had dem long dill pickles tho lol. Anyways drive thru is sorta narrow and voicebox is inconveniently placed a bit far from reach so you either try to get closer and risk hitting the corner curb or shout your order. Or just park and order inside. Lastly watch out for the teens coming out of school. Drive safe pls.

Haven't been here in years. Don't know why, the food was great today. Restaurant was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Place got real busy about 5 minutes after we ordered. Will come back again. This is on my recommend list.

Their food is pretty good, they always seem busy, but after a long day, I use the drive thru. Stake sandwiches are awesome as well as their zucchini.

This is a pretty solid place. They have a typical do-it-all kind of menu. Burgers, sandwiches, breakfasts, chicken tenders, gyros. They do it all, and while nothing here is GREAT, it is all pretty decent. You know what you are getting when you come here, which is a plus. I like the pastrami cheeseburger. They just pile up the pastrami on top of a fairly wide burger patty, and while it's a little tough to eat, it's pretty tasty. Sometimes I'll go with a classic club sandwich, which is hard to mess up. It isn't special either, but it's a club sandwich. If you want some solid food, this is a good place. If you want something special, maybe keep looking.

Really good char broiled burgers , this place is absolutely one of the "better" corner burger spots. They also serve good Mexican food, and make tasty breakfast burritos. Also they do have a drive-thru. And booth seating. Hope this review helps.

The food has always been great with no issues. I highly recommend this spot for tasty lunch and breakfast. The only con I have to give this place is their new 4% surcharge for using a debit or credit card. Unfortunately this makes me want to come less. I guess I’ll support other businesses that don’t charge you extra for using a card. Cash is annoying now in days. That’s for emergencies only lol.

I come here often and have since I was a kid. The burgers are always good, as are the chili cheese fries. This time though the onion rings weren't the best. They were oddly tangy in taste and felt a bit stale even though they'd just come out of the fryer. Not sure what happened since they're usually pretty good.

We always go there for Saturday either breakfast or brunch and drive-through is kind of tighter so we do sometimes sit down sometimes take out. service is always friendly. Have enough parking. Hot and fresh food

Steve’s is a place you come to when you aren’t looking for anything special; just something to fill your belly with average tasting but satisfying food. The Good: Unless they are slammed at dinner time, your order comes up pretty fast, unless you are in the drive thru, then you will have a much longer wait. Second, I always leave here feeling full when I get a combo meal, which includes fries and a medium drink with your entree. Over the years I’ve tried all the standards (chili dogs, tacos, and the different burgers), but nothing stands out except the Taco Burger, which is really good. The Bad: The prices for certain items seem excessively high even in this current economy: 85 cents for a cheese slice on your burger, or $17.56 for a Pastrami Burger combo that’s made with a thin beef patty and a small amount of mediocre tasting pastrami. Also, they don’t clean the tables and seats frequently enough. Expect to search around for a place to eat that isn’t sticky and greasy. Steve’s isn’t bad, but it’s also not special. It’s a place to go when you need something convenient.

Good food. Kind of fair price. They don't give you alot of fries or hash browns like you get from other similar burger joints which is why I don't come here very often.

Hadn't been here for a year or so. Ordered a grilled pastrami combo and a steak sandwich. Steak sandwich was great. The pastrami sandwich used to be huge $8 by itself. Tonight around 9 pm, it was overdone and barely 1/2 of pastrami. It use to be over an inch easy. Staff was friendly and when I mentioned that the pastrami didn't have much meat, I was told it depends on the cook. This is the first meal at Steve's that wasn't up to the normal standards I remember. I will give them another chance when we are in the area again.

I've passed it up for years. Left the ridiculous line at Chic Fil-a and fitted I'd give it a try. Staff was pleasant and fast. The fries were just fries, no flavor but, the 1/4lb burger was pretty good. I don't eat burgers often. The thousand island style sauce and the little charbroiled edges made this burger worth it. I finished the whole thing...which rarely happens.

The veggie omelette was good. The hashbrowns could be better. Maybe cooked a little longer so they are crispy. One thing I didn't like was that I asked for a fried jalapeno like most dinners offer and they wanted to charge $1.25 for one jalapeno.

I was in the area. Came down from pretty far to take care of some business. Said "what the hell, let me try out this place" wish I wouldn't of. It wasn't that good. The chili cheese fries were mediocre and same goes for the burger. The burger tasted like a bland salad with bland meat.

Well, the staff was accommodating, but the food was just ok. I had the steak dinner, and while it came with a ton of fries, the steak was tender, but I asked for medium rare, and got well done, mostly because the steak was only a quarter inch thick. The salad was mediocre and very roughly chopped. I also got shrimp, which was overcooked. Norms does it much better...sorry Steve.

I can understand that you cannot control all versions of your menu and prices online but when your own FB page advertises the wrong prices it's a different story. Please get it straight.

The 1/4 LB hamburger seemed like a good idea. It had that nice, chargrilled taste, but was actually quite tough and chewy. The fries tasted pretty good. Nice and crispy. The Greek salad is OK - with steak, pretty good. Overall, I’d probably choose Fantastic Burger instead for the burgers.

My Denver omelette was overcooked, and it took a long time. However, the customer service was GREAT, I would recommend you wipe your table off. I found it to be a little sticky I usually drive thru and order fried zucchini! Now those are really good !!👍 I still recommend this place.

Had their breakfast chorizo burrito. Decent chorizo and egg that wasn't too runny but would probably like it fluffier. The chorizo had nice flavor and some grease to it. The size of the burrito is pretty decent sized too!

I usually patronize the Steve's on Anza, but decided to try this location. I ordered my favorite breakfast burrito. It wasn't the same 🥺. And their salsa is different. Not bad, just different. The young cashier lady was pleasant and sweet.

I been going here since I moved out here back in April 2024, the last 2 times I went, the person that took my order messed up casue she wasnt paying attention to what I was saying. So I got charged for food that I didnt order. Maybe if she was focused on what I was saying I would of gotten the right order. I got a b re akfast burrito a few weeks ago, and the girl handed me the wrong burrito. I ordered bacon and she gave the the burrito the guy before me ordered. So I am sure she gave him my burrito. They need to make sure the are paying attention to that kind of stuff. What if you handed me some food that was wrong. But casue you wasnt paying attention. What you gave me I could possibly be allergic to. They dont know, so you jave to make sure you are handing people the right order. Let alone the quality versus price is ridiculous. Today I ordered a breakfast burrito and. JR cheeseburger. It definitely came out to 18 dollars and some change. An you can see the owner ain't lacking no funds. Pros: Burger veggies were fresh lettuce, tomato and all. Flavor was 60% good. Meaning it was an average Bacon Cheese Bueger. Bun was the best. Customer service is great. Cons: patty was so thin. McDonald's thin. Price is 2 dollars over priced compared to other burger joints with similar flavors. Not my top choices, but a quick bite sure.

My experience was bad. Today I went in today and order a grilled cheese and one of your workers laughed at me. I asked for a grilled cheese and small fries and she chuckled and said grilled cheese and I said yes. I guess she thinks I am to old for it but you are never to old for a grilled cheese. Then when I went to pick up my food she pointed at me and just looked at me. I have a problem with this and it is insulting. The food was good though just not the workers.

I ordered a side of fries and I got old fries. They were sitting for sure. I should have checked my bag before I left, or I should have just asked them to prepare me a fresh order, I just assumed they would. Highly disappointed. They are usually pretty awesome, but this is the second time this has happened. Lesson learned.

I grew up on Steve’s but they just aren’t the same any more. They used to have great prices and the food was delicious. Nowadays the prices are to the roof. The other day I bought two breakfast burritos mixed meat, it was very delicious but I paid $24.67 just for the two burritos. I was better off buying the ingredients at the local store and making them myself. SMH Probably would of spent less money. Plus a $4.00 tip so almost $30.00 for two breakfast burritos and nothing to drink. Don’t ever buy their salads either unless you like lots of yellow and white crunchy pieces hardly any green in the salad. I believe it’s $12.00 for a chefs salad. If your going to pay that much on a salad I recommend Tam’s Long Beach on Anaheim ST. About the same price and never any hard yellow and white crunchy pieces. All green salad. JS

Had the worst meal ever at STEVE’S tonight! Cheeseburger was cold; bun hard, patty so cold the cheese hadn’t even begun to melt and hardly any dressing. Dry. After a few bites, I threw it away!! The other person had a beef burrito which was half the size they usually are and the ground beef didn’t look or taste right. The only thing that looked and tasted remotely close to what it should was the chili cheese fries. Called to let them know. They acted like they didn’t care!

Had gyro salad. It was not good, covered in cheese and the salad was soaked. My plate had water in the bottom. My daughter had a hot dog that she barely ate half. It was not good at all.

Horrible customer service! Arrived at 940pm, 2 families, we placed TWO separate orders, neither of us knew their Closing time, we both had kids n a 3 mo old we were all seated and waiting for food only to be given in to go bags and told we had to leave because they were closing in 10 min. We tried to distribute food to eat fast and were told again no, WE HAD TO GO! I don't even live nearby!!! By time i got home with food everything was soggy and horrible! When we placed order NEVER were we told they were about to close or that we couldn't eat there. I've been to many places where as long as u order PRIOR to them closing, u can at least eat ur meal. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

They Can never get the order correct... I understand if your busy, but to me customer satisfaction is the key thing in business. Correct me if I’m wrong. Made my phone order for desired items. Got total of $8.99 when I got there my order was not in system, they asked if I ordered at different Steve's Burgers so I showed my phone history to them. They remade order and now charged $9.54. know the owner and his son, but both had just left office, Been customer there since 2003 or earlier. New staff didn't know who I was but told them I was going to review then speak with owner, The employees seemed unconcerned.

Have had issues in the past and hadn’t been here for awhile . Went through drive through and ordered 2 breakfast burritos. 1 bacon and 1 mixed. The “bacon” labeled one , was the mixed and the “mixed” was just egg , hast browns and very tiny amount of cheese. At one time they were great and well worth the value. Not anymore. Prices have jumped and the burritos used to be stuffed and now they are like over sized taquitos. They also tried to give my order to someone else and when I did get them , they were just warm and hot like you’d expect.

Called in my order for 2 breakfast burritos at 10:32 lady told me about 10 mins. Show up and the cashier is having trouble processing the order of the person in front of me. After I pay I wait long enough for the people that ordered in front of me to get their food and finish eating. From the time I called in my order that was about 50 minutes. I kindly ask for a refund and leave. I am writing this while I wait in their drive through for the same order I called in an hour ago. What's the point of calling in an order if you don't make it anyway. Seems weird considering I saw 3 other people with phone orders just walk in and pick up their food.If you plan on calling in your lunch order and making a quick food run during your lunch this is not the place to go.

I'm a big fan of steak and eggs. I've passed by this place many of times before but never ate there. Today was the day, I ordered steak and eggs and my wife ordered French Toasts. First my plate it looked delicious but to my dismay it was not! The steak and eggs were really bland not even salt and peppper made it taste any better they should have a sign that says seasoning not included on the menu. My wife's French Toasts weren't any better either her French toats tasted like cardboard she completely doused them in syrup and it was like a cardboard soaked in water didn't taste any better.

Always terrible customer service. There is only one lady who is nice I wish I could clone her. The rest of the 20 year old staff has entitled attitudes and look like they are high most of the time. There is never a smile, or have a good day, they hang up the phone on you while ordering, they can never hear your orders and meds them up even after you paid for the right thing. Food is okay but the prices have gone up and are not worth it. $8 for a hamburger that is always overcooked?eh. Chicken tenders and fries are pretty good that's about it. They have the nasiest fake guacamole they try to give you as well.....I live across the street, if they had better service I would come there every day. I came there to order food 2 sandwiches and fries. The kitchen staff wasn't wearing any gloves and was wiping his hand on his dirty apron and making the food touching the cheese and sandwiches with their dirty bare hand. I ask for a remake with gloves they didn’t like it.

This place hasn't been the same over the last few years. Horrible customer service and also the manager doesn't take accountability for getting orders wrong. I asked for a fruit punch and they gave me a watered down ice tee also they forgot my fries that came with my club sandwich combo. Also the chili cheese fries I ordered were disgusting. If you are going to order chili cheese fries I suggest ordering them for rascals because rascals actually cares about the food they're making and the chili cheese fries at rascals are $5 compare to Steve's $9 chili cheese fries. And rascals chili cheese fries are a million times better than Steve's

Bad customer service. Called in a phone order...guy on phone takes order and gives me total. I arrive about 10 mins later. Tell them I'm picking up and give them my name. Everyone behind counter is looking around cannot find order. Cashier proceeds to enter my order to start it. I ask...are you just putting in my order. He says yeah we lost your phone order. No apology...he just laughed it off. Not cool. I told him forget the order and left.

I will start with the long hair in the chili cheese fries. It was neither ordered nor desired. When my wife discovered it and we attempted to reach out to the restaurant to see if this could be resolved, they did not answer. I ordered the chicken quesadilla, which, to be fair, is exactly what it says it is. It was a tortilla with cheese and dry chicken pieces in it. I know that that is not what they are known for, but if you serve it, it should taste better than this. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience at all.

We normally go to Steve’s on Anza which is amazing! For some reason it was closed, so we tried this Steve’s. NO comparison. Buns and burgers have a weird taste and fries are either over or undercooked. Very disappointed! No body finished eating their order.

Worst eating experience ever! Went inside to grab a burger and fries but the first thing I see is one of your employees making out with a girl. She sits on his laps and everything, it's so disgusting. It's the blonde white boy with curly hair. He needs to learn some decency! He is an embarrassment to the restaurant. Bad service! I ordered a comb turkey sandwich and a milkshake. I asked the cashier lady if I could get my milkshake. So I wouldn't have to sit there for more than ten minutes waiting for my order. They finally got my order, my milkshake with no wipped!!! They didn't even bother to ask me if I wanted wipe cream. So I asked the cashier if she could put wipe cream on my milkshake. She asked one of the guys to do it. From the beginning, when I paid for my order, they charged me extra just for using my debit card. I would have appreciated it if at least they would have told me.

Service was great, but that expensive chicken dinner was horrible. Too bad because i really liked it last time i went thought I hadn't had the chicken dinner their chicken salad was good except for excess water last time. I should've gone for the burger if only I knew how horrible the fried chicken was going to be. Awefull tasting breading.

I didn’t like the food at all. I ordered a pastrami sandwich and it was not good. I also ordered a salad, but the hard-boiled egg was gray inside and had a very odd taste. After eating it, I felt nauseous. I returned the salad and requested my money back. On top of that, the customer service needs improvement. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Unfortunately our experience wasn’t good. The food lacked flavor and didn’t seem fresh, and the cashier was rude when we asked simple questions. We were really disappointed and won’t be returning.

Worst place to eat. I ordered 2 family packs and they stated they were ready and they were not. When I arrive to my place the fries were not cooked. At the restaurant I complained to the owner and he didn’t care. Don’t go there unless you want to get sick from eating half cooked food.
