We were fortunate enough to enjoy an unforgettable evening of peña music: live music for almost two hours, with excellent musicians, great energy, and a genuine connection with the audience. The band had a spectacular vibe, getting the entire room—tourists and locals—singing, clapping, and sharing the moment. Throughout the evening, we were able to eat well and without rushing, while the music played. The food is homemade, abundant, and tasty, with typical dishes from northern Argentina: empanadas, meats, stews, pasta, and traditional desserts. The prices are more than reasonable for the quality of the food and the entertainment offered. The care and affection shown by both the kitchen and the service are evident. The atmosphere of the place is magical: an old house with an interior patio, decorated in a rustic style and with warm lights, inviting you to linger. Everything is well thought out to make visitors feel comfortable, with spacious tables, good acoustics, and that touch of informality that makes the experience authentic. The staff is excellent, always attentive and smiling, explaining the dishes, helping with drinks, and making sure everything runs smoothly. It's evident that they have a passion for what they do and great respect for the visitor. According to most online reviews, Doña Argentina is one of the most recommended peñas in Cafayate. They all agree that the combination of regional cuisine, live music, and a family atmosphere makes for a unique experience. We were skeptical after several reviews about poor service and long wait times. But the truth is, our experience was very good. The food arrived super quickly (admittedly, it was empanadas and pizza, which are fast-food options). They were very good, as was the lemonade and the bread with celery mayonnaise they offered us at the start. It's worth noting that we were able to order gluten-free empanadas, which is not often offered. The service was good, and we really liked the duo who performed the show, with very calm and well-performed traditional music. There is no charge for the show or cover.

What a vibrant, inclusive, community driven place to eat, drink, and DANCE. Is all of Argentina like this? I wouldn't know, but I hope so. I had one of the best nights of my travel here. If I could give it more stars I would.

Fantastic place, was expecting it to be a little more in the mountains with a view. Cabins were very spacious and clean, had a nice stream in behind which was nice and relaxing. Spa pool, get in early is my recommendation because there does not seem to be any filtration. Didn't use the main pool,.but it looked nice. If you want a sauna you need to book in advance. Breakfast was very good with plenty of variety. Restaurant part was closed. Staff super friendly.

Really nice place to eat with a singer and good atmosphere. Waitress really nice especially the one speaking french. As you can see on the picture, the portions were huge and it was impossible to finish. And the quality of the food was amazing. The price might be higher than in other places but it is worth it. If you choose the burger prepare your stomach.

Fuimos a cenar y hubo un show en vivo que nos gustó mucho. Pedimos empanadas y cerveza y estuvo muy bien. La atención también super y el patiecito interno divino.

Mauricio Tiberi was the main artist. It was excellent and his companion with drums and keyboard performed gracefully though the main tradicional argentinian's songs. As usual, some of the public stood up and start to dance with the zanmba and chacarera rhythms Very nice night. It is recommended to reserve a seat before going there

Muy rico y todo pero fuimos a las 9:30 de la tarde y recién a las 11:20 tenían la comida,DOS HORAS ESPERANDO. Lo único que salvo ese tiempo fue una banda que tocaba muy bien, por eso le di otra estre…

Linda experiencia en Cayafate. La cena estuvo más que bien (buenas empanadas y un ojo de bife gigante con un puré delicioso más postre regional) y la música una muestra de ritmos y autores regionales…

Para empezar,ofrecían cena con show musical, para ser honesto el muchacho tenía buena voz, pero no era lo que uno esperaba,vas a Salta y uno esperaba un espectáculo folclórico,nada más alejado de la realidad,pero le puso mucha onda. La comida el locro,no me gustó (te recomiendo el locro de El Rancho) las empanadas si riquísimas,la bebida bien,en cuanto al espacio o lugar, una noche muy fría y poquísima calefacción, no fuimos antes de lo previsto porque hacia demasiado frío ,porque estábamos en un patio gigante remodelado con poquísimo calefacción. La atención de los mozos/as excelente 👌 lo mejor. Diez puntos en todo los chicos/as geniales.

Fuimos con mi pareja dos veces, la primera estaba lleno y la segunda teníamos lugar, pero nos fuimos en ambos casos porque el sonido es extremadamente alto. Directamente tenes que gritar para hablar con la persona que vallas.

El show musical estuvo bien, la moza que nos atendió fue muy atenta. Aunque lamentablemente teníamos reserva a las 22, fuimos puntuales y terminamos comiendo a las 23:30 además de que la comida no fue lo que esperábamos. Los burritos los pedimos con pollo y casi no tenían, solo era queso y pocas verduras. No lo recomendaría

Thursday night, it was mainly empty, so had no problems getting 6 the pena was decent, though the service was ridiculously slow - even if you signalled to the staff, you would wait a while before you were served. Friday was packed, though two ladies said that we could join their table. The doorman said "no" - reason - we apparently bought two dogs into the building 😂😂😂 Has the vibe of a venue run by mafioso.
