I ordered tacos de maciza (lean pork tacos) and I liked them, although the meat is served in a salsa. The place is nice, spacious, and cool. What I didn't like was their pozol (a traditional Mexican corn-based drink). The pozol I got was super thick; it was more masa than liquid. The price was good for what two of us ate. The service was excellent; they treated us very well and quickly.

The menu is simple and straightforward: pork tacos and pozole tacos, an excellent combination and very well prepared. Quick and relatively inexpensive. Good salsa and excellent chilies with lime. Good tortillas, although sometimes they're cold (a common practice in Tuxtla); I think the tacos would be better with warm tortillas.

They still have the original recipe (which is delicious), although they don't serve you as much as before (they give you less). The aguas frescas they offer aren't good; I got a tascalate that was clearly stale. And something that might be subjective but is important to me as a customer: they removed the benches, which also meant sharing tables. I think they lost a bit of the essence of what the original taqueria was. They offer three tacos: Macisa, surtida, and tradicional... Surtida and tradicional are the same thing.

A simple, traditional place. Baked pork tacos. Tasty, not spectacular. Pozol also meets the minimum standards. The crowd is middle-class.

The tacos 🌮 are getting smaller and have less meat. They don't taste like they used to. The güero chiles were lacking pickling liquid.

They don't taste the same as the ones from the Commission on 16th West. Obviously, it's not the same owner, but the flavor doesn't even come close, not even the pozol. They're more expensive and fall far short in terms of taste—nothing like the originals. Even though they have quesadillas and tortas (they're trying to innovate), the flavor isn't good.
