We arrived early for supper and were seated immediately. Booth and table (and floor) very clean. Food is unlike any other Mexican restaurant in town. Although different, the food was very good as was the service. They have a bar and different dining areas. Ours had an old car theme...hubcaps on the ceiling and many paintings of cars cover the walls... mainly 50's - 60's models.

This Chuy’s is perfect. Minimal wait time on a busy Saturday with excellent customer service. Hallie was a perfect waitress who took care of us and had the best attitude. The food was delicious and it came out in a timely manner. We were having a crazy day and it was nice that Hallie seemed to know we needed to stay a little longer after we finished a meal. She never rushed us or bothered us after we paid our ticket. Chuy’s is also really affordable and I would recommend this location to my friends visiting Tyler.

This Mexican restaurant was very good. The tortillas tasted homemade and fresh. The hot sauce was just right. The green sauce was delicious. I had the fajitas and the portions were big and filled me up. All the food tasted excellent. The service was great, and their was not a long wait.

It's difficult to say which was better, the food or the service. Most of the menu items tend to be on the spicy side, but were had great flavor. Abby, our waitress, was very helpful with suggestions and extremely attentive to our needs. The restaurant is very clean and well maintained. If this review was helpful, please "like" it.

It was good. Had to wait a bit for a table. Chimi was a lil small, plus not covered in Queso and they charge extra and customer is not made aware. I didn't get a discount for the sauce I substituted for. Seems a bit skimpy to me. Good was good. Table for 4 they bting 1 basket of chips, 1 salsa and 1 of the white sauce. Skimpy skimpy skimpy.

First, I prefer Chuy's and one other Mexican food place in Tyler, and it is not JT (which I shy away from whenever possible). Everything was good, not great, but good. Service was flawless, portions were appropriate, and taste/flavor was good. We will be returning.

The food was better than average but just not memorable. The manager and our server were amazing and helped us in an effort to try to get gluten-free options for my wife. I had the chicken fajitas that were great, but the rest of the party wasn't immensely impressed with their meals. Really like the decor inside with a lot of really neat items, i.e. the room of hub caps on the ceiling. The manager did warn us that cross contamination could occur with the food, and we appreciated that.

Ate there a couple days ago with a group of about 25 people. The table and seating configuration was not ideal. I feel like it would have been so much better if we had a whole section to ourselves. Other customers were stuck sitting at tables right next to us. And since we were all stretched out along a long single-wide table, we had to talk kinda loud in order to be heard by those of our group seated farther down the table from us. There was also only one server to handle our entire group. The poor lady was doing a valiant job of trying to keep up with everything. She was amazing actually. The problem is the fact that she was all alone. The food was good. I enjoyed the veggie enchiladas.

Went in was quickly given a booth , but there were crumbs on both side of seating area I wiped it infront of the hostess she didn’t say anything like would you like to sit somewhere else, just left us . Then we waited for good 10 mins for the server . I laughingly said we were wondering who will be our server . She didn’t introduce herself or say sorry for wait or seem to acknowledge the wait . We got our drinks the water had surprise a bottom “debris/trash” you can see in picture . Waited 10 min for food but food was good and warm didn’t get Refill on chips and salsa . Didn’t get drink refill on drinks but we did ask another waiter walking by for Debris free water cup , the lady who was making tortillas she seemed to touch everything around with same gloves she uses to flip tortilla we had time to sit and wait and our view was her so .

Came for a nice dinner with my friend after not seeing him for a while. To start the taco assaulted my tastebuds. 0/10 absolutely disgusting tasted like unseasoned cafeteria food. The enchiladas were okay wouldn’t eat again through flavor was mid. Also the “green sauce” is literally just ranch with extra cilantro. Salsa and water were the best part of the meal. Overall feels like I wasted my money couldn’t even finish everything. Do not recommend unless you don’t like seasoned food.

Now I have no problem with Chuy‘s. The service is great. The food is amazing. The atmosphere is also great. My problem is I ordered a 16 ounce queso and a 16 ounce salsa and an 8 ounce jalapeño sauce. That’s all I ordered and I was going to pick it up Now that is all I ordered. It would have been cheaper for me to dine in and order the fajitas lol I went and picked up the order and the order ticket for just the queso and salsa was over $30 $31.80 I believe for just queso and salsa. We visit this location every week and genuinely enjoy the food and service, which is why we wanted to share this experience. During our most recent visit, it was windy outside, so we asked a waiter if the outdoor curtains could be lowered. He kindly helped us put them down. A few minutes later, the manager, Daniel, came out, raised them back up, and told us they couldn’t stay down—which was completely fine. What wasn’t fine was how he handled it. As he walked away, he said loudly to a coworker, “If they’re cold, they can go find a table inside,” clearly within earshot. That comment came across as dismissive and unprofessional. The issue was never the policy—it was the attitude. A manager should be setting the tone for customer service, not making remarks about guests within hearing distance instead of addressing them respectfully.

Texas Tax

I’ve been a loyal Chuy’s customer for over 10 years. My kids always order the same kids burrito with no ranchero sauce, replaced with queso. Now they tried to charge $6 extra for each one, making a kids burrito cost $13. The manager said kids burritos are “too cheap” and that adding queso doubles the price. That’s absurd!! It costs more than most adult meals. This made me cancel the order and go elsewhere for dinner. This is pure greed from the new management. You’ve officially lost a customer who came every weekend.
