What a fantastic place this restaurant is. Stumbled over it by coincidence and was so surprised. The best spaghetti with seafood I ever had. Super nice staff. We stayed here four nights and had dinner here twice. What a great experience.

4 stelle per il pesce veramente ottimo, le porzioni abbondanti e la vista su spiaggia e mare di Varigotti. Locale, gentilezza e prezzi migliorabili. Resta comunque uno dei migliori ristoranti di pesce in zona, quindi assolutamente consigliato.

Ottima qualità di cibo. Una focaccia sesamo e curuma favolosa. Mele cotte con pinoli meravigliose. Costoso??? La qualità si paga. Complimenti al personale. Complimenti alla cucina.

I had lunch on a Wednesday at noon. Fantastic view of the sea, slightly dated location. The girls serving were concise and quick; all they could do is smile a little more 😁. Excellent food, fair portions, quick service, reasonable prices. My only criticisms are the bathroom, which is unique and very small, with a window overlooking the frying area outside (so it smells awful inside), and the poor ventilation of the hoods (my clothes smelled too bad, and there were only 10 of us at the tables).

January. Everything in Varigotti is closed. I'll stop here. The location is stunning, but the smell of the food and the staleness of the place surprises me, but I know I'm being difficult, so I take a seat. The owner is old-fashioned, the type: fish at my place... just us... whatever. Nothing to say about the food, but the wine by the glass... The dessert, bonnet, was amazing. The price was high in my opinion for a first course, a grilled swordfish with vegetables, half a glass of wine, water, and two coffees (€76)... the fake flower on the table is from another era.

Siamo andati in questo locale il 10 giugno a pranzo. Accolti subito dalle cameriere cordialmente e fatti accomodare. Ci viene fornito un menù ma solo dopo aver scelto con cura i nostri piatti ci viene comunicato che praticamente nulla di quello che c'era sul menù era disponibile e si poteva solo ordinare da un elenco elencato a voce senza specificare prezzi e ingredienti. Da ciò si può dedurre il mio giudizio basso causa servizio totalmente inadeguato.

The food is good and you’re sitting with a view to the beach. Prices are on the higher end and so you expect decent customer service. The staff is atrociously rude and inconsiderate, doesn’t look you in the eye, you have to ask for everything multiple times and yes we speak Italian fluently and live in the area. I guess the staff is unhappy because that boss of theirs is seriously RUDE for no reason. It’s a shame though, as his wife is a wonderful cook.

Ho visitato questo ristorante La Caravella a Varigotti, con grandi aspettative, soprattutto per gustare del pesce fresco, ma purtroppo l'esperienza è stata deludente. Il locale offre una bella vista, ma questo è l'unico aspetto positivo. Il pesce non era fresco; la frittura era surgelata, il che è inaccettabile per un ristorante che si propone come specializzato in pesce. Gli spaghetti con vongole erano mal cucinati, con un uso esagerato di aglio, e pagare 24 euro per un piatto da autogrill è semplicemente eccessivo. Siamo partiti da Torino con l'intento di godere di un buon pranzo a base di pesce fresco, ma abbiamo sprecato i nostri soldi. Non consiglio questo ristorante a nessuno.

Perché non è possibile attribuire 0 stelle?? È la mia prima recensione negativa: qui mi è bastata l’ineducata arroganza del personaggio. Posto da evitare come la peste. E mi prodigherò per fare in modo che si sappia chiaramente, onde evitare ad altri delle situazioni imbarazzanti.

Se per anni il carattere (moolto particolare) del titolare poteva anche essere un'attrattiva divertente e comunque "sopportabile" vista la qualità del cibo, beh, ora sta decisamente stancando. Frequento Varigotti da tempo e posso assicurare che il mio pensiero è condiviso da un numero sempre crescente di persone.

Mai vista una tale maleducazione in un ristorante. Siamo entrate con l’intenzione di cenare tranquillamente, ma l’accoglienza è stata davvero pessima. Alla semplice domanda su dove fosse il bagno, la cameriera ha risposto imitando il tono della mia amica in modo infantile e sarcastico, aggiungendo una frase fuori luogo: “Certo che c’è un bagno, mica è una palestra qui”. Una risposta inaccettabile, soprattutto da parte di chi lavora a contatto con il pubblico. Una volta sedute, abbiamo chiesto del risotto che ci interessava, ma sul menù non era specificato che fosse obbligatorio ordinarlo per due. Quando lo abbiamo fatto notare, ci è stato detto in modo secco e maleducato che “nessun ristorante al mondo fa risotti per una persona”. Una risposta arrogante e gratuita, soprattutto considerando che noi siamo sempre rimaste educate, senza mai alzare i toni. Abbiamo quindi deciso di alzarci e andare via. Prima di uscire, abbiamo semplicemente chiesto se dovessimo pagare il pane che ci era stato portato (senza che lo avessimo richiesto) e come risposta ci è stato indicato con tono infastidito e sarcastico dove fosse l’uscita. Un comportamento così scortese e aggressivo verso clienti che non hanno fatto assolutamente nulla di male è inaccettabile. Il rispetto per le persone dovrebbe essere la base del lavoro in sala. Non torneremo mai più, e lo sconsigliamo vivamente a chiunque cerchi un minimo di cortesia e professionalità.

Non ho mai messo una recensione negativa in vita mia ma questo posto la merita tutta: piatti insignificanti, tutt'altro che ricchi. Bisogna sperare ogni momento che le colonie di moscerini nei lampadari non te li condiscano cadendoci sopra. Le tovaglie sono macchiate peggio dei dalmata. Probabilmente si sono portsti avanti per Halloween con l'arredamento. I piatti costano il doppio rispetto quello che propongono gli altri ristoranti e pieni la metà e sono insipidi, come il pane. Le cameriere sono belle fuori ma dentro hanno un ph nel sangue da brividi. L'unica cosa saporita è il conto: salato. Comunque buona l'acqua.

I've never left such a negative review, but here it's impossible to do otherwise. The owner is rude and arrogant, even on the phone ("I don't have time and the phone's hanging up on me"), terrible food, an exorbitant bill, and zero hospitality. Even when booking a tennis court, the response was "we don't have time." A disgraceful place, definitely avoid it. Best regards to the owner, who I hope will hand this place over to more serious people soon. Love

The manager is pushy, he brags and pats me on the back, I do... my wife does... but he passes off the tagliolini as tagliatelle. I ordered tagliatelle from the menu and tagliolini arrived, he retorted, more interested in the bill than the tagliatelle dilemma. Lukewarm/cold dishes, never again.

Terrible place. Angry and arrogant owner, slamming in the table. Mini portions and bad food. Bad taste. Food is not served at the same time for a table. Got the Spada alla griglia (Sword fish) and asked for potatoes on the side. The food came late, the potatoes came 10 min after the Sword fish. My friend got his food 10 min after I got mine. Never go there again.
