Groundwork Coffee

It was amazing! We picked up eggslut and were just looking for a place that has coffee and a place to sit and eat, little did we know we were going to enjoy the best coffee we got in California with a great view of the beach! The horchata cold brew was amazing and I’m just sad that, since I’m from out of town, I won’t be able to enjoy this treat again. If we ever come back to CA I’m getting this coffee every day

I got amazing service here both times I popped in. The first time I checked the menu and was met with a friendly barista. Later that day when I came back to order I had one of the friendliest experiences ever at a cafe. My young daughter was with me and the employee, owner of the building and even another patron were very kind to her and we all had several laughs. The owner of the building even helped me locate a bathroom for my daughter... I didn't even ask, she just introduced herself, etc. I loved my coffee art as well! Pretty cool place to grab a pumpkin latte with ACTUAL pumpkin in it. ;) Will definitely stop back here when we're in the area again. One more thing... they had great good options in their refrigerator as well as coffee beans & accessories.

I’ve never loved a coffee shop more! The staff treats you like family and the coffee is tasty. Great burrito bites & beautiful views of the beach for outdoor seating.

This place is just a few blocks from home and I have been going for years! . One of my favorite locations for one if my favorite coffee brands. . The folks that work in there are great! High energy, very personable and they make a mean matcha!

Groundwork Coffee Co was amazing! I had a great experience there and a great cup of coffee. Staff were super helpful and friendly. The only downside is that there is no seating inside.

Awesome little coffee spot tucked in an awesome side street just off the boardwalk. Their ice coffee has great strength & flavor, unlike most places. Great vibes, & a couple tables outside in the sun to watch people stroll by. Also surrounded by a handful of cool little food spots. Very nice barista too! Might be my new go-to spot!! 🤙🏽

Great coffee and tea options! Lots of coffeeshops lack good tea options, but their loose leaf selection is great. The coffee was also very good, as well as the zucchini flax bread. Owner was super nice, and helpful! Will definitely be back!

This place has Organic Coffee that actually tastes like what they say it does. Normally I hate black coffee even homemade because it tastes burnt no matter how you brew it. I have tried every brew in the shop black and they're amazing. This was my morning coffee stop for 2 years. I'm only disappointed they're not everywhere. They put Starbucks to shame. Jorge, Chris, Oscar are amazing. There's one other that works there who is great, but for the life of me I can't remember his name. I would give them a million stars if I could. A large coffee is $3.75 (I don't know if that's changed) but if you want amazing coffee go. If you fall in love with it like I did you can even order it online.

We ordered a to go cappuccino and a cortado with oat milk which is not in the menu, the server agreed to make it for me. That’s the best cappuccino and cortado we ever had. The coffee beans are real organic and feels so soothing and right texture to the palate. I really recommend this just visit during the Venice beach broad walk.

Just had an oat cappuccino. I exaggerate not, I took 2 sips and stopped in my tracks, it was that good. I’m from Toronto and we have a pretty strong indie coffee shop culture so I wasn’t expected to be THIS impressed. Also, the best vibes by the staff working there. Also, no up-charge for non-dairy milk <3 Amazing coffee steps away from the Pacific Ocean?! Heaven.

I come here for their Iced Mocha a few times per month. Definitely in the top 5 for best iced mochas in Los Angeles. Not too sweet, not too bitter. Good amount of chocolate and espresso. Good value, two different sizes, and right by the beach. Employees are all great. Parking is difficult for cars.

Tried this place while visiting. It's down a random little alley right off the beach. It was around 2pm, not very busy. Tried the Horchata Cold Brew w/ almond milk. Highly recommend, one of the best cold/iced coffees I've ever had.

I told him I've been on the hunt for a new company ever since my favorite roasters got sold out. He let me try a sample of his stuff and man that flavor is good! The prices are exactly what you'd expect of an independent roaster. Real grateful to have spent my last day in LA checking this coffee shop out!

Freakin Awesome pastries. OMG. No seating inside. It's a small interior. But You wouldn't want to sit inside anyhow because this is Venice Beach . Sometimes the staffing is short. Coffee is amazing and tastes artisan the way us west coast snobs like it🤣

Great variety of coffee blends and single origins. I had a double shot spresso with the black magic blend and it was nice and chocolaty. There are a couple of outdoor tables great to enjoy the view with your coffee.

Coffee was burnt and service was poor. Don’t recommend especially since staff was rude.

Extremely unfriendly barista. He also put zero effort into the coffee - the cup of I got was rushed and had the texture and consistency of a puddle. Worst coffee experiences I’ve had in a long time.
