Beautiful location with a terrace overlooking Piazza Cavour and tables under its lovely portico. Convenient and convenient for breakfast and a tasty aperitif. The interior is small, but well-maintained and modern. The staff is incredibly friendly!

Portico 4 is a cafe and lounge bar located in Piazza Camillo Cavour in Vercelli. When I entered, it was a beautiful place, and I thought of those New York bars you often see in movies. The decor is "rustic," a neologism I seem to recall, meaning "rustrial," a design characterized by very warm and natural colors. The lines of the furniture are simple, and the predominant material used is wood. Perfect and delicious cocktails are accompanied by inviting appetizers. A must-visit, and a must-see. My only complaint is that I had to wait a bit before I could order...but there was a lot of demand. Saturday night!

The mojito was a bit too watery and had too much lime, it tasted like lemon water. The aperitif had a questionable flavor. Everything tasted stale...as if it had been put from the fridge to the microwave. The place was very nice, the waiters were friendly, but €11 per person is a bit too much for what they offer. Let's just say they could lower the price by offering a cooler aperitif with bruschetta, quality olives, vegetable sandwiches, and crudités.

Spritz with Campari, 2. Too much ice and it tasted like nothing. The vegetarian platter was decent, but the bowl of raw carrots without a sauce wasn't good. The Spritz glass was unsuitable.

DISAPPOINTMENT. We sat outside. We ordered an aperitif. The waitress said, "We'll bring fries and something else if you want, but given the time... it was 11:30." I replied, "If there's something else... great!" The wine was of a different quality than I'm used to (questionable, even though I'm on my second sommelier course). It was accompanied by fries and a small tray with a few pieces of focaccia and fried food balls. On the receipt, I found the surcharge for the tray. In reality, from the waitress's facial expressions and reticence to be explicit, I had already suspected this, but I knew it wasn't my honor to disclose the surcharge... so I waited. I reported my disappointment to the housekeeper, but the person replied, surprised, that it was the first time she'd heard this kind of criticism. The owner, if he doesn't show a menu, should disclose every surcharge! It's called transparency and clarity in commercial transactions. POOR CITY, between climate, commercial desertification, and...

Great location, the place is very well decorated, and in fact I was inspired by it—modern and trendy. The bathroom, which is outside, is terrible. The service was terrible. The girl who served us didn't remember the menu items, and once we'd chosen, the dish wasn't available. So I asked for a salad with tuna, mozzarella, etc., and there was neither tuna nor mozzarella, just salad, carrots, tomatoes, corn, walnuts, and parmesan. €8 was outrageous. Then they cleared our table, but not all of us had finished our meal. As for the food, my salad was unremarkable, the piadinas were cold. Maybe it was just an off day, but we really didn't have a great time!
