Attracted by an article mentioning this place for its awards, while in Brescia today for a visit to the Santa Giulia Museum, we stopped here for an aperitivo. The place isn't very big, with perhaps a dozen tables. As soon as you enter, on the right is the ice cream counter, while further along is the counter displaying pizzas and focaccias. We had an aperitivo with a house alcoholic cocktail (very good) and a Margherita pizza included with the aperitivo, and then we ordered three more slices of pizza. The pizza is very soft and leavened, yet crispy. There are several toppings, and all the ones we tried were excellent. The only negative is that there isn't even a price listed, and we weren't given a menu. However, reading old reviews complaining about the price, I can say that, in my opinion, the price is fair. Two cocktails with a slice of Margherita pizza cost €10. Each additional slice of pizza cost €5 (the size of the piece is visible in the photo). Of course, a slice of pizza like this costs much less in a bakery, but you can tell that there's a lot of work behind it, both with the dough and the toppings, which are often unique and not found anywhere else. In the photo, focaccia with stracciatella and prosciutto (which melted in the mouth).

Gourmet focaccias with unique leavening, exquisite and refined ingredients, and special pairings. New flavors every week, accompanied by the ever-present Surlo, Pirlo's cousin. It would deserve a Michelin star for focaccia, if it existed.

A very characteristic place offering a typical Brescian aperitif, "il Surlo," and original sourdough pizzas by the slice. Everything was more than excellent...!!! 😋😋😋🔝🔝 The staff was extremely kind. My compliments, truly.!!! 👍👍👏👏👏 A must-try and then return. We hope that in addition to the panettone for Christmas, we'll also find the Colomba for Easter... The only flaw I found... I can't eat any other panettone anymore...!!!! The panettone at Alimento is truly unique... incredibly excellent!!! It's beyond compare!! I came back for a good aperitif...😋🔝 Yayy ... 😋😋😋 Congratulations!!!!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 And...the Colomba is truly beyond amazing... truly excellent!!! Excellent pizza/focaccia, diverse and exquisite flavors, very friendly staff in the center of Brescia near the Capitolium temple and the Santa Giulia museum. Reservations are recommended as seating is limited.

A little hidden place in old Brescia—and that's not just a cliché...right at the back of the Roman Forum, with the columns of the Capitolium and the castle keep in the background. Within the ancient walls that exude history from every angle, there's this relatively small bakery entrance (it's an understatement to call it that) where you can sample delicious appetizers, pizzas, focaccia, giardiniera, honey, jams, and seasonal panettone. All made with organic and natural ingredients. I'd especially like to mention the panettone we had this winter...it was out of this world! A lovely, cozy atmosphere.

I didn't like their Pirlo, but it's a matter of taste. There are no appetizers with the aperitif, so you're "forced" to get their pizza slices, but €5 for a slice of Margherita seems excessive to me.
