Locale piccolo ma molto bello, gentilezza e professionalità, cibo di qualità presentato in piatti eleganti. Vasta scelta di vini con prezzi nella media. Complimenti al tovagliato usato sui tavoli... Eccezionale! Prodotti e qualità di prima scelta, esecuzione dei piatti impeccabile, servizio perfetto da sentirsi coccolare con spiegazioni sul contenuto e metodi di cottura, assaggi di benvenuto e dessert di ringraziamento,una conduzione familiare che funziona curata nei minimi dettagli, bravi torneremo sicuramente!
Una rivelazione. Veramente eccellente tutto. Entree, focaccia ligure, magatello di vitello tonnato (con ottima quantità di salsa), cervo con marmellata di ciliege e amarene, assaggio di carne battuta, dolce di cioccolato in diverse consistenze e frutto della passione. Super! Ho assaggiato anche l'agnello in crosta di grissini ed era perfetto, come il polpo, morbidissimo. Anche le "orecchiette", non ne ricordo il nome, erano ottime. Insomma, complimenti! Tutto, ma proprio tutto, a livelli altissimi, compreso il servizio e il vino.
Definire la “pazzia” in un momento in cui l’originalità è all’ordine del giorno, potrebbe essere difficile e con contorni poco chiari, anche perché all’opposto, la normalità, scadrebbe nel conformismo; parlo naturalmente di me, che un bel dì, di fine luglio, mi son lasciato travolgere dalla passione per questo fantastico piatto di tiepida trippa. Zenzero, verdurine, croccante di grana et voilà. Preceduto da un comitato di benvenuto più che tipico, fiore di zucca come entree e battuta di cruda amabilmente servita con punte di salse appena asprigne e giustamente saporite, s’è imposto come portata da non dimenticare. Un po’ di stupore per Anselmo e Valentino quando declinavo l’offerta di farmi servire dell’acqua (me l’hanno chiesto entrambi, prima l’uno e poco dopo l’altro,con garbata curiosità), ma già, lascito del “maestro” Cino, ci si deve abituare e scegliere frutta pigiata sapientemente trasformata. Quale miglior proposta quindi se non un ottimo nebbiolo. Un grazie quindi a loro e a Valentina e ad Antonietta, che hanno trasformato la mia curiosità in esperienza.
Ci siamo capitati un po' per caso,ma ci ritienemo perché consapevoli di essere stati accolti con un servizio impeccabile, papà e figlio Valentino in sala as accogliere con la Mamma superba regina della cucina e la nuora Valentina un'artista del dolce..!!!! Tutto spettacolarmente buono dall'assaggio proposto i primi ed i secondi superbi.Il dolce ha poi chiuso alla grande. Se sei a Cuneo non puoi non passare da qui..!!!
Esperienza Eccelsa. Da condividere con chi si ha a cuore. La cucina è sublime e l’arredamento ricercato e minimal. Da provare il Bao con la battuta di fassona ed filetto di carne piemontese, concludendo con i loro dolci esclusivi.
"Osteria" di alta qualità in centro a Cuneo. Chiamarla Osteria è quasi dispregiativo vista l'alta qualità dei piatti ma soprattutto i prezzi. Piatti preparati e serviti in maniera impeccabile. Nell'attesa viene servita focaccia della casa ed un piccolo assaggio gustoso. Ambiente elegante all'interno di un edificio storico. Personale qualificato e disponibile nel consigliare ottime qualità di vino. Senza pochi fronzoli, mangiando in due, si arriva facilmente a spendere 50€ cad1.

It's not a restaurant: it's a temple of taste, a rare gem in the heart of Cuneo. From the moment you enter, you feel like you're somewhere else: an intimate yet refined atmosphere, a family welcome, and a discreet luxury that doesn't flaunt itself but speaks volumes: haute cuisine is served here with authentic elegance. The tables are small, the attention to detail is meticulous, the service attentive but never ostentatious—perfect for those who truly want to pamper themselves. The ingredients seem to be chosen specifically to amaze: each dish is a gesture, a story, an emotion. The courses follow one another with harmony, balance, and passion. And—I say this with conviction—I know of no other restaurant in the area that reaches this level: not for quality, not for atmosphere, not for that "something" that makes you think you're somewhere special. I return once a year, with friends or my wife, because it's become my personal ritual: I unplug, eat magnificently, rediscover flavor, and reinvigorate my soul. It's true culinary luxury, in an environment you'd only belittle by calling "private and familiar." In reality, it's elite hospitality. It's the light, the team's politeness, and that detail—the homemade bread, the unexpected entrée, the artisanal brushing of crumbs left on the tablecloth—that makes dinner a celebration. If you're looking for a restaurant that surprises you, that transports you to a world where food is art and hospitality is care, well: you've found it. In the entire area, I don't see a rival that can compete. That's why Osteria Vecchio Borgo isn't just a restaurant I recommend: it's the restaurant you should experience at least once a year.

An elegant and refined restaurant in the heart of Cuneo, meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail. A welcoming atmosphere, well-crafted and tastefully presented dishes: authentic passion shines through in every course. Quality wines, carefully selected and perfectly complementing the culinary offerings. At the end of the meal, a taste of the mini desserts is a must-try treat, often presented with grace by their creators. Family-run, this is reflected in the care and hospitality. A first-class experience, highly recommended.

An experience in Cuneo. Certainly not your typical village osteria. Refined dishes, with top-quality local ingredients. Authentic flavors that leave nothing to be desired. Impeccable service, and the complimentary entrée was very welcome. Prices are a little above average, not like an osteria. 5 stars well deserved. It's just a shame the bathroom doesn't have hot water. All the dishes contain lactose. So if you're lactose intolerant, get a sachet of Lactosolution 15000. Pictured are the plin and the pork pluma.
I don't think I've ever written reviews, but this time I have to. Couple's dinner on February 28th (a late Valentine's Day), what can I say... Simply perfect. Authentic and delicious dishes, top-quality products, and super helpful and friendly owners! For those with gluten intolerances, there's plenty of choice and, above all, attentive service. Menu for all palates. I definitely recommend the "scrigno" appetizer and the "always on the menu" fillet with foie gras. Thanks for the dinner, we'll be back soon!
I was there on Thursday, October 18, 2024, with my best man and our wives, and I have to say we had a really great time! The food was top-quality, as was the wine, and the service was truly excellent! I was surprised by the dessert (although I was a little skeptical about choosing the persimmon and porcini mushroom one), but as soon as I tasted it, it was a hilarious combination of flavors! Really good!
We are so glad we found this wonderful restaurant. The owners and chef are lovely people who made us feel so very welcome. The atmosphere is warm and elegant and the food is absolutely fantastic - faultless in quality, execution, presentation, generosity and value. Please go here if you are in the area - you will not be disappointed.
I'm back, and I'm delighted because it's always worth it. One of the things I love most is the limited seating, so you can spend lunch or dinner chatting away the noise. The ingredients aren't just top-quality: they're crafted with incredible attention to detail. The scallops with cotechino and the colomba cake are out of this world, unimaginable. The foie gras melted in your mouth... In short... you're fantastic! From the dining room to the kitchen!!
One of the greatest restaurants in the region 👌 everything was perfect with some French and East Asian influence on great Italian dishes. The staff is very careful and helpful. The 3rd time that I come and they never miss the shot 😉 (it is recommended to call to book a table in advance) A great moment
We went to this restaurant with my wife and our 6 year old daughter during our summer visit to Piedmont. Being a fan of nouvelle Italian we found this restaurant through the Michelin guide and it exceeded all our expectations !! Firstly you are greeted with a charming outside atmosphere with pristine white table clothes and beautiful Riedel wine glasses complimented with a cozy lighting of the street. It is a quite alley and you are not bothered by pedestrian traffic. The inside was also elegantly decorated, the weather being so nice we opted to take one of 6 tables outside. Now the food ! Oh wow ! Every dish is creative, unique and perfectly cooked with flavours of the focus ingredients coming through with each bite. While the food is upscale, it is still down to earth and not pretentious. We took two antipastis, a bao twist on a steak tartare and a unique version on a classic Tonato Vitello. As main courses, we took one of the best executed filetto di manzo with foie gras and a scrumptious duck breast with sweet savoury sauce. The wine list is extensive and the sommelier is a true professional. Understands your taste, but also makes sure to ask your price range. It is one of the few times that I saw a sommelier open up a wine and say “I am not satisfied with it” and decides to bring a different one absolutely free. I was worried before visiting the place when I read some of the reviews about the children being rejected at the restaurant. I am so surprised at these reviews ! I mean it is not an establishment where you want children running around, but it was absolutely fine with our 6 year old daughter. The whole staff is super friendly and courteous. We had a very comfortable experience. Thank you for a lovely time !
It was a perfect lunch. The service was fast and very friendly. The many appetizers were delicious. Among the dishes, I especially recommend the "Bottone" pasta and the octopus. The seafood appetizer was also excellent. The "Black Forest" (chocolate cannoli) were simply perfect. Worth a visit!
We shared a delightful meal last night at Osteria Vecchio Borgo. From the amuse-bouche through desert, each bite was a delight. Not pictured in this review were an onion tart tatin appetizer and the pasta course of tagliatelle in Normandy butter, served with white truffles. They were both so alluring, and yummy, snapping pictures was completely forgotten. Often overlooked in reviews are side vegetables. The medley served last night may have been the best vegetable course that I’ve ever eaten. Seriously, I would return for the vegetables alone. The female chefs in this small family restaurant created a gem and we will return. Often.

Delicious food, the chef talked really good English and were able to present their food. The menu is both in English and Italian. The crew was smiling and served small appetizer before the starters. Really a place I would recommend for everyone
Ottima accoglienza, sala piccola ma curata e pulita. Qualità del cibo ottima, accostamenti di sapore squisiti, molto apprezzati i piatti in menù con foie gras. Il nebbiolo al calice che ci è stato servito davvero gradito. Unico neo i prezzi, forse complice le recensioni molto positive (e meritate) del locale, sono comunque eccessivi.
Cucina di ottimo livello, ottima presentazione dei piatti, locale tranquillo, musica d'ambiente rilassante, è proprio un bel locale, ne valeva la pena. Non adatto a bambini. Consigliato.
Carne cruda battuta al coltello riferito la carne ottima qualità Peccato il pasticcio di robiola e piadina alle nocciole con il cavolo rosso fosse rimasto solo la carne sarebbe stata ottima pappardelle ragù di coniglio olive taggiasche benissimo Peccato l'aggiunta di Salsa di peperoni che uccideva gli altri Sapori agnello abbondantemente salato e quindi riferito alla qualità del ristorante Pensateci voi Peccato Guida Michelin
