What a delight! The staff throughly know their menu and wines and freely share their knowledge. We appreciated their explanation of local foods, sauces, and wines. Every bite was the best bite and my one regret is that by the end of the meal, I was too full to eat more. The photo is pasta with white truffles (seasonal). So very simple and elegant.

Locale molto curato, atmosfera elegante. I piatti serviti sono di ottima qualità e presentati in maniera semplice ma da noi molto apprezzata. Siamo stati con i nostri figli in compagnia di una coppia di amici con figli. Tra i vari piatti ordinati: la frittura di funghi era straordinaria, carne cruda al tartufo ottima, ossibuchi alla cacciatora molto buoni, anche buoni i primi ottimi ed i dolci come il classico tortino caldo. L'unica nota che stonava un po', già segnalata da altri, i grissini presentati sul tavolo nella confezione di plastica. La scelta è sicuramente molto igienica ma non elegante. Per concludere l'ottimo pranzo ci hanno offerto dei biscottini e dell'arancia candita. Ci ritorneremo volentieri!

Un ristorante che si trova in un vicoletto, l'ingresso assomiglia all'ingresso di un'abitazione, non comune ai ristoranti che solitamente hanno insegne grandi per attirare l'attenzione. L'interno si presenta come una sala di un ristorante per i matrimoni, l'unica cosa accogliente è il legno del soffitto a vista. Il cibo però è davvero squisito, molto caratteristico del posto e di ottima qualità. Ottima selezione di vini. Consiglio vivamente gli antipasti che sapranno stupirvi sicuramente per la qualità e la preparazione. Per gli amanti della carne cruda, chiedete la salsiccia (una libidine). I dolci sono altrettanto deliziosi. Il bagno è più accogliente della sala, spazioso e arredato con luci e accessori adatti... gli asciugamani da mano danno più qualitàe accoglienza.

Prodotti di qualità il locale dispone diverse sale ed anche in alcuni periodi della parte esterna, cucina tradizionale ma anche che guarda oltre la tradizione. Ottima la lista dei vini

Locale curato, massima disponibilità da parte del titolare che nonostante fossero al completo hanno aggiunto un tavolo in sala per accoglierci. Personale professionale, piatti ben fatti, solo un po’ nervosa la carne dell’osso buco.

First Time in Asti: A Delightful Culinary Experience - My first visit to Asti, the land of Alfieri, renowned for its fine wines and truffles, on the edge of the Langhe the home of my beloved Luigi Einaudi, the father of Italian (classical) liberalism. The Piedmontese may have a reputation for being "falsi e cortesi," but when it comes to hosting, they excel with warmth, care, and genuine charm. This was a group lunch with a set menu, but it was anything but ordinary. Each dish was delicately crafted, flavorful, and served with understated elegance. We began with a trio of appetizers: vitello tonnato (creamy alla piemontese), a refreshing artichoke salad, and a comforting polenta dish. The star of the meal was a superb risotto al Barbera, rich and perfectly balanced. The desserts were delightful, and everything was elevated by a glass (or two) of excellent Dolcetto wine. The restaurant breathes Piedmont. You eat Piedmont, drink Piedmont, and experience its essence. The cuisine is simple yet of exceptional quality unpretentious but refined. The risotto al Barbera stood out, as did the other classic regional dishes. And in this corner of Italy, it’s nearly impossible to find a bad glass of wine, especially the reds, which are consistently outstanding. A special mention goes to the staff: smiling, courteous, efficient yet discreet - a rare treasure in Italian dining. The setting is unassuming. While the main dining room is rectangular and the tables aren’t widely spaced, a sense of privacy is still achievable. The clientele is discreet - this is Piedmont, after all - and that adds to the enjoyment of the food and wine. Even the restroom reflects the owners’ attention to detail with its elegant design and thoughtful touches. This isn’t a Michelin-starred restaurant or a pretentious spot. It’s a place where guests feel at peace, treated to honest, heartfelt hospitality. I certainly did, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

A popular place in the old city. Considered better than it actually was. Not easy parking. Ambience and decoration not warm. Some of the dishes were VERY good, some were average and below. Nice service, though.

It's a family business, the owner cares the service and monitor several times the satisfaction of the customers. We were 4 and had lunch in this restaurant as they were in partnership with a yearly festival in Asti called Bagna cauda day. A celebration of a traditional dipping sauce from poor times age prepared with salted anchovies, garlic, olive oil and optionally hazelnut oil. It is served burning hot on a traditional clay cup, with a candle underneat and a good variety of local seasonal raw and cooked vegetables to dip. To clean the last drop, a raw egg yolk is then thrown into the Fojot (clay pot name) and whisked in. All food was fresh and delicious. I got a second portion free of charge (dipping only). I am sure that all food á la carte is at the same level. Recommended!

Abbiamo scelto il menù degustazione che mi sentirei di consigliare per la varietà di piatti della tradizione, ma né per qualità né per quantità mi sentirei di dire che il rapporto qualità prezzo è ottimale. Ambiente elegante ma sterile, servizio piuttosto freddo e distaccato.

Selezionato in quanto ristorante consigliato dalla guida Michelin, ma purtroppo mi ha abbondantemente deluso. Nonostante avessimo prenotato con il doveroso anticipo, arrivati in loco cercano di convincerci ad accomodarci ad un tavolo visibilmente troppo piccolo per un gruppo di 8 persone. Per di più il servizio è stato scortese e poco professionale: comande prese in modo confusionario, cameriere distratto e borbottone, le portate non sono arrivate tutte assieme e così via. I piatti ben presentati come impiattamento e buoni al gusto. Questo però non basta! Certamente ci sono molti altri locali dove si mangia altrettanto bene, se non meglio e dove sopratutto l'attenzione al cliente è di un altro mondo

Locale carino, personale cortese senza lodi, cibo pessimo, ringrazio per il fine serata a base di gaviscon e tisana per cercare di evitare che il reflusso mi impedisca di dormire, con scarsi risultati. Primi e secondi terribili, il resto accettabile, niente più. Specificato da un astemio.

Posto molto accogliente,peccato per i proprietari poco accoglienti e scocciati .... riguardo al cibo di qualità e le recensioni positive non capisco perché per me pessimo .

The architecture of place is nice, the food is ok, but the service was very very unfriendly. We did not feel welcome, and we were treated differently than other tables, it was a shame. I can’t recommend this place, unfortunately.
