It was an absolute pleasure to have a dinner in Trattoria del Liberale! The food was simple and delicious - true definition of Italian cuisine! Also the place itself was amazing, perfect panoramic view on Genova and the sea, so peaceful place. It is absolutely worth to go there and have a delicious meal during the sunset. It is the place where people love to cook and cook with love!

A trattoria that lets you experience Genoa in all its beauty, thanks to its breathtaking views and the deliciousness of the typical Ligurian dishes served. I was captivated by the place, by the friendliness of Sergio (the owner), by the warm and comfortable atmosphere (you really feel at home), by the helpfulness of the staff who served us (kind and professional), and by the wonderful panoramic view (see photo). A trattoria with well-kept interiors and an outdoor space that allows you to enjoy a few hours of relaxation. The loungers in the outdoor garden are truly delightful 😉. Five stars well deserved!!! 💫 Highly recommended!!!!

Truly delicious dishes and quality ingredients. I'd been there in previous years and had eaten well, and today I returned and the food was even better.

Wonderful place 15 minutes from Borgoratti. The dishes were generous and excellent quality: appetizer, first course, dessert, coffee, and wine, and we only spent €18. What more could you ask for? Just outside the restaurant, a spectacular view of the city.

5 well-deserved stars!!!!!! Unique natural setting: immersed in nature and the view is stunning. The trattoria is well-kept and welcoming, not to mention the friendliness and warmth of the owners who make you feel at home. Regarding the food, we ate several starters and then moved on to the desserts: the freshest ingredients are noteworthy... the lasagna with pesto and scamorza cheese is a delight, without taking anything away from the pansotti with walnut sauce and the famous trofie with pesto... both fabulous!!! The desserts are superb!!!!!! Excellent value for money!!! We will definitely be back and will be very happy!!!

Posto situato sulle alture di Genova, per la precisione sul monte fasce… posto magnifico con vista e grande spazio all’aperto, cibo molto buono, prezzi giusti e il personale molto accogliente e gentile, CI RITORNERÒ SICURAMENTE. Devo fare solo un’appunto purtroppo, eravamo seduti al tavolo che mangiavamo e proprio dietro di noi c’erano dei bambini che giocavano a calcio, abbiamo chiesto a una delle cameriere (bionda e non tanto alta) se poteva chiedere gentilmente ai bimbi di giocare poco più in là con la palla per evitare inconvenienti, la risposta della cameriera: “eh mica posso dire alle persone di andarsene eh” e se ne va indispettita… allora premetto che noi siamo due ragazzi molto alla buona e non siamo abituati a lamentarci, ma la gentilezza e l’educazione deve rimanere sempre, anche perché siamo stati educati e il servizio te lo stiamo pagando. Togliendo questo, posto da consigliare assolutamente.

I just got back from Christmas lunch 🎄. It's a place located on the hills, with bends and turns, very narrow streets—it's on Monte Fasce, after all. The view is beautiful, the service excellent, and the food, apart from a low-salt first course, the trofie with chestnuts, is excellent. Obviously, some dishes are Nouvelle Cousine-style (for those who like that). All in all, it's a nice place, with good service and good food.

I've tried this trattoria both in winter and summer and found the quality to be the same. It must be said that the view is stunning in the summer, allowing you to enjoy the view of Genoa from above, the sea, and the Ligurian Apennine mountains, in a cool climate just steps from the hot summer city. In winter, however, we were greeted by a mystical fog, which was nevertheless very atmospheric. The cuisine is simple (and not pretentious), but authentic and typically Ligurian. All the dishes are delicious, from the first to the second courses, with a good selection of ingredients, but overall, without tearing your hair out. On the other hand, it wants to live up to its name as a trattoria. There are some inaccuracies in the service, but nothing unsurpassable. In conclusion, the restaurant gets a thumbs up and is worth a try. Enjoy your meal.

Lovely food, terrific service from the chef, no less (we were one of only 2 couples at the restaurant for lunch), reasonable prices and at 500 metres above sea level nice anabatic breeze coming up the mountain. Views of Genoa to die for. This place is a must if you don't mind the rustic look (used to be a hunting lodge apparently) and the isolation. Now my favourite Summer lunch spot in Genoa.

Hai bisogno di relax? Ami l'aria aperta ed il cibo casalingo? Questo è il posto che fa per te. Il servizio è lento, ma solo perché i piatti sono tutti cucinati al momento. La pace e la vista mozzafiato compensando però l'attesa delle pietanze. Buoni i ravioli "au tuccu", ottimo il coniglio alla ligure. Un antipasto con cuculli, panissa e focacetta; due ravioli alla genovese; un coniglio alla ligure; un litro e mezzo di acqua; mezzo di vino rosso; due caffè, per un totale di 52 euro. Ci tornerò.

L'unica cosa di eccezionale è il panorama mozzafiato su tutto il golfo della Liguria. Spero che quanto andrò a raccontare sia capitato solo a noi e solo in questa occasione. Posto scelto per una reunion di ex colleghi che non vedevo da 48 anni. Per arrivare ai deve fare una strada "che Dio ci protegga". Purtroppo, a parte il piacere di incontrare dopo tanti anni vecchi colleghi, per il resto è stata una completa delusione. 1. Qualche antipasto dove il più elaborato era un crostino di pane abbrustolito con sopra un'acciuga sotto sale. Affettati non ne parliamo: nulla. 2. Come primo n°6 pansoti con salsa di noci e n° 8 ravioli con salsa di pomodoro (almeno credo). Pietanze chiaramente preparate con prodotti commerciali e assolutamente non "casalinghe". 3. Il secondo è stato un piatto con 3 fettine di arrosto, apparentemente nemmeno tagliato fresco, con una cucchiaiata di patate arrosto. 4. Dolce 5. Caffè (che, mio Dio, era meglio non prendere). Tutto questo ben di Dio alla modica cifra di 36€ a testa. Do un consiglio da amico ai proprietari: già siete, come si dice, in culo ai lupi e chi viene a mangiare da voi lo fa non perché passa da lì per caso. In questo modo le persone non torneranno più. Per quanto mi riguarda, mai più.
