Opiniones de Le‘ Ris Via Giacomo Matteotti
We stumbled upon a restaurant by chance with an excellent appetizer of local products and, above all, a menu of risotto-only dishes for all tastes, cooked to perfection. Even though there were no main courses on the menu, you left feeling completely satisfied, and the food was reasonably priced, along with some excellent desserts. It's worth returning again.
We'd been going there for years, then for various reasons, we hadn't been in a while. Today, we found the place again, and the staff were always welcoming. The dishes haven't changed either; in fact, they're always better: delicious appetizers and excellent risottos.
November 1st, humid but not cold, a desire to sit down and try typical dishes, especially some well-made risotto: I searched for something in the Novara area and was recommended this place. A very welcome suggestion, because risottos like this are hard to find. The offering is clearly risotto, but of the three we tried (three of us came for lunch, two adults and a child), three were savored down to the last grain. Aside from appetizers and desserts, you'll find risottos; if you want, that might be the only reason not to try a superlative place like this. P.S.: I ordered a house Nebbiolo, for simplicity's sake and without choosing from the many wines offered, and I guarantee it was very well received. Highly recommended, I'll be back with friends. Kind and kind.
If you love rice, this place will satisfy your palate and your passion. A veritable kaleidoscope of risottos, from the most traditional to the most original, with original pairings. The service is pure passion, discreet and professional. Definitely worth trying again. As the sign at the entrance says, if you're in a hurry, come back slowly. But this too is an added bonus, as is the music, which will transport you to another time, marked by the seasons and not by the clock. Bravo!
Returning from a challenging investigation at the 52nd Boca Wine Festival, Watson and I decide to stop in Suno at "Le Ris," a restaurant in the town center. Don't be fooled by the Google address: the dining room is located in a charming courtyard that, in the warmer months, hosts additional tables in addition to the few indoor ones. The restaurant's distinctive feature is that it doesn't offer main courses: the chef aims to offer a gastronomic experience centered around risottos. Therefore, in addition to meat, seafood, and vegetarian risottos, you can enjoy appetizers that clearly reflect the restaurant's Piedmontese and, even more so, Novara roots: crostini with gorgonzola, peppers with anchovies for bagna cauda, Russian salad, veal with tuna sauce, and so on. If you're hungry and everyone at the same table agrees, you can try the trio of risottos; otherwise, a single dish is quite generous. The wine list is good, featuring local labels, as well as some well-chosen beers. The restaurant is quaint and welcoming, as is the friendly and discreet staff. The only flaw: the lighting is a bit dim, especially if you're not there for a romantic dinner! We ordered two asparagus risottos (delicious), two mondina appetizers, two coffees, a chocolate dessert, a quart of house Nebbiolo, a James Blond Weiss beer, and a liter of mineral water for €86.50. It's worth a try if you like rice and enjoy quiet, quaint places.
This little place that only serves risotto is really cute. We skipped the appetizers because they weren't appealing, but between the two of us, we enjoyed a trio of risottos: porcini mushrooms (excellent), prawns, arugula, and saffron (also really good, probably my favorite), and quail (great meaty flavor but difficult to eat due to the small pieces of meat full of bones). The service was friendly; reading the reviews, I expected it to take forever, but it was perfect. We'll definitely be back to try other dishes, even though I'm not exactly a rice fan. I was very pleased with the variety of options and the perfect cooking. Excellent wine! Thanks, and well done!
Suno, February 8, 2024 A very friendly and efficient welcome awaits you in this small, rustic restaurant in the center of Suno. Traditional Piedmontese cuisine, with rice in many variations, predominates. The fast, family-friendly service adds value to the small restaurant Lè Ris ('It's Rice'). The prices are more than fair considering the quality of the products used. The overall rating is excellent. The outdoor seating area is delightful, and the restaurant's entrance, which is located in a small courtyard, is unique. All the staff are well done.
Risotto was so good. Prices are on par for other restaurants of the type. I can make a mean risotto and most of the risottos were on par with mine up until I had the truffle specialty risotto. It far exceeded my expectations.
Fantastic risotto!!
Fantastic restaurant
Excellent Rice dishes... Best of all with Porcini mushrooms watered down with local red wines
The atmosphere is simple and informal, making you feel right at home. The classic Piedmontese appetizers are delicious. The rice, however, is the star. There are so many combinations and it's truly delicious. I'd return just to have it as an appetizer, first course, or second course. The service is very young and a bit slow, but not everything can be perfect. Experience makes perfect.
Incredible use of One of the most humble ingredient, rice. King of the menù, here you can rediscover a plate known in all the world but that very few can do properly. Easy Access to the restaurant for everyone. Only negative was the wine list, not all the bottles were priced and most of them were finish.
Fantastic choice of risotto . A visit is a must. Prices not expensive for risotto. Antipasti are tasty but expensive for what you get so would advise risotto tasting with nebbiolo house wine.
Suggested by friends for a good risotto. Paniscia: almost brothy. Rice was just right, but too much broth. Risotto with livers: liver flavor too strong, not cooked through. Again, not creamy, but a little runny. Very generous portions. I'll try it again, taking my friends' suggestion into consideration.
We went for lunch on a Sunday. Frankly, we were a little disappointed for a place specializing in risotto. The rice was cooked perfectly, but not the creaminess. And the fresh porcini mushrooms were very few. For €18, I would have expected something better. The appetizer was decent. The wine from a local winery was very good. The bathroom was clean and tidy. The price was a bit high.
Sunday lunch with my family. The atmosphere is very refined and pleasant, and the dishes are good and well-balanced. Perhaps the risotto with porcini mushrooms was a bit too creamy and not excellent, while the one with salami paste and the whole wheat risotto with Castelmagno were very good. Desserts were good and average. The service, in my opinion, was a bit subpar, probably because there were only two people serving. My meal count was a bit above average, but not excessive. Definitely worth a try.
