Opiniones de Caviate Via Privata Vittorio Veneto
The food is very good, the view of the lake is beautiful, there is no parking. The staff is friendly and helpful.
This is a 1-star hotel, so please don't leave unnecessary reviews. This 1980s-era building has undergone some internal renovations. In your room, you'll find an LED TV, air conditioning, and very comfortable beds and pillows. A breathtaking view from the room with a private balcony. They have convenient free parking. They accept pets, and you can bring them anywhere for dinner and breakfast at no extra charge. The pet-loving owners are very kind and helpful. We had a wonderful dinner at the restaurant, with a very reasonable price for a lakeside location. If it were renovated, it would become a 5-star hotel. It's even better for a place that's been around for so many years. I recommend it to everyone.
I live in Valtellina and have driven past it a thousand times but never stopped. Last night for the first time, I ate pizza there with my family. It was delicious. Tonight I stopped by with my husband and we had a full fish menu. I have to say, I haven't eaten so well in a lifetime. The fish was incredibly fresh and superbly cooked. Appetizer, first course, second course, sorbet, and coffee, plus drinks, €78 for two. Exceptional. Had I known, I would have stopped much sooner. But I'll definitely be back. Excellent!
The location with a spectacular lake view, as are the fish-based first and second courses prepared by Michelin-starred chef Mimmo (number 1). The best pizza in Lecco, made by Luli, will take your breath away. Owners Enrico and Tina, like old-fashioned people, make you feel right at home, aided by the kindness of the waiters. Honestly... they deserve 5 STARS for everything!!! Top, top, top!!!! Mati and Marco
Good food friendly staff, fair pricing and a nice location. I will come back
A little too rushed. The atmosphere is a little dated, but the location and food are top-notch!
For a dinner without excessive pretensions. The wait staff is competent and friendly...that's not always a given...keep it up. Thank you
A family-run hotel, especially the chef and waiters! And the lady! I had a lovely New Year's Eve dinner! Everything was really nice! Lake view and excellent food! Entertainment: Live music... a truly lovely evening! Compliments to the very nice musician! I'll be back!
It was a lunch to celebrate a birthday! We did the fish menu! I liked it! Appetizer, first course, second course, sorbet and coffee! I will gladly go back! 😊
We had dinner at the restaurant overlooking Lake Lecco, seating four outside. A charming location, with knowledgeable and friendly staff. We ordered mixed fried fish and sea bream, served with a side of salad and grilled vegetables, seafood linguine, and a ham and mushroom pizza. The fried fish was the best I've ever eaten in my life. I enjoyed it; you could taste the fish, and it was incredibly soft and fresh, not just the fried fish. Fantastic!! The sea bream and linguine were very, very tasty. The fish wasn't stringy; on the contrary, it was very soft and flavorful. The pizza was the only flaw. The toppings were only in the center, and the cheese was rubbery. We had coffee to finish. The price was more than fair for the quantity and quality of the dishes (€85). We'll definitely be back; the fish is REALLY fresh and excellent!!
We were there on Sunday noon, and there were eight of us. The place is very casual (not for those seeking luxury), but it was perfect for me. We all ate very well, and the price was excellent. We spent a total of €209. For those who want, there's a nice fish menu for €28, which includes a cover charge, a mixed appetizer, spaghetti with seafood and fried fish or mixed grill, sorbet, and coffee. If I could stop there, it would definitely deserve 5 stars, but unfortunately, there's more. We arrived around 1:00 and ordered. The appetizers, first courses, and second courses arrived as expected, while the first courses from the fish menu arrived at 3:00! We ate them (which were delicious), but by then we were no longer hungry, and we asked not to make the second courses. The waiter said they were already being prepared and that he would prepare them for you to take home. To apologize, he offered everyone sorbet and also brought us a bottle of limoncello with glasses. I must say that even the second course, reheated at home, was really good. In any case, if I have the chance, I'll definitely return. I think it deserves a second chance. One last thing: the waiters were friendly and very kind, even with the dog, who was brought a bowl of water and a bowl of dry food.
Friendly and attentive staff, moderate prices, tasty food and very close to the lake. I will surely come again
The rooms definitely need a complete renovation. The furniture is 30 years old, and the mattresses and pillows are equally old. The bathroom is basic and small. That said, the restaurant is a real find: the first and second courses are truly delicious. The chef is passionate about what he does, and it shows.
Great location, decent food, but... there's no way a restaurant in 2023 doesn't have air conditioning. The veranda is fine, but only on the beach with plenty of breeze would it be acceptable. Beautiful view, but there wasn't a breath of fresh air, and half of our table had the sun staring directly at our backs the entire lunch. We ate lunch at 39 degrees Celsius, hoping it would all be over quickly. We weren't there.
I'm reviewing the restaurant where I had lunch today on my way back from a hike in the area. It's in a good location, with a beautiful view of the lake and just a stone's throw from the center of Lecco. Its only drawbacks are the fast road from the lakefront to the SS36, which passes right next to the restaurant, creating some noise and acting as a barrier between the restaurant and the lake, as well as the pre-2000s-style building. The staff is friendly and helpful. The service timing is slightly uneven, with dishes served a few minutes apart and side dishes served after or before the courses they pair with. The cuisine is simple but well-executed, using high-quality ingredients. Good value for money.
We only used the pizza restaurant, so I can't comment on the hotel. The pizza wasn't good; I'd suggest letting the pizza chef try it, so he can see what he's cooking. Another negative thing came at the final checkout. The manager refused to do separate billing, and so we started an argument. Very rude, we'll never go there again!
This review is for the hotel, not the restaurant, where I didn't eat. Well, it's old... but also poorly maintained. I was looking for a place to stay for one night in Lecco, and the prices are insane. I struggled to find this place, as it's not easy to reach from the city center on foot, making it inconvenient for those without a car, as it's not even served by public transportation. The price was fair for a mid-range property, but unfortunately, the property is quite low-end, so the value isn't great. The room we stayed in is poorly laid out and has several issues, such as no hair dryer, and the floors and furnishings are quite dated and partially damaged or, at least, repaired in a makeshift manner. While I was taking a shower, the cold water knob fell off after I touched it. The terrace is messy and dirty. There appears to be no Wi-Fi connection. I'd say the breakfast was adequate—not terrible, but not great either. In short: it's great that among Lecco's crazy prices there's a less crazy place, but either the prices drop a bit further or the structure needs to be made less dated... with a bit of maintenance and a bit of taste. The only real plus: the beautiful view of the lake!
There are better places in lecco to have a good pizza
The location is really beautiful...lake view, the restaurant doesn't have air conditioning but ceiling fans, the bathroom is very small. We had fried food and a mixed grill, both of which were poor quality and badly cooked. We left almost everything behind. It cost us 65 for two, including 250ml of house wine. We won't be back 🤷
