Uno de los peores restaurantes precio/calidad en los que hemos estado. Raciones minúsculas y de pésima calidad. La de pulpo chiclosa, con tentáculos minúsculos y con más de la mitad de la ración de recortes de la cabeza. Pide también los precios de las bebidas antes de pedirlas: nos han cobrado 4,9€ por un tercio de cerveza y 3,5 por un botellín de agua.

UN HORROR DE SITIO , ES MAS BIEN UN BAR DE TAPAS QUE TE COBRAN COMO SI FUERA UN RESTAURANTE DE LUJO. Una ración de almejas 24 euros, la ración tenía 16 almejas contadas. El pan que también te lo cobran sin pedirlo y es de muy mala calidad . Mi error fue no mirar las reseñas que le dan una puntuación bajisima por supuesto no volverémos nunca más y aconsejo ni acercarse por allí.

Por trabajo hemos terminado en Vigo y un cliente nos comentó ir a la calle de la piedra para comer ostras!!!... No, no hemos acertado: adjunto fotos. 1. Los percebes minúsculos (juraría que esto es ilegal vender) 2. Los berberechos casi la mitad del plato cerrados.... 3. Las otras buenas... Pero muy muy pequeñas... Es verdad que tienen de diferentes tamaños, incluso una que cuesta 15€ la unidad... Perdón!!!!???? En esta ocasión no vamos a poder disfrutar de otros locales de la zona, pero este no es nada recomendable: 4€ el botellín/mediana/tercio de estrella Galicia... Pero lo más surrealista fue mirar la vitrina del marisco y ver al buey de mar haciendo RIP. Podéis mirar las fotos.

La experiencia fue nefasta, sólo por el precio, las ostras partían desde los 3 a 14€ según tamaño, lo acepto, según mercado, sin embargo 4 euros por una caña de cerveza sin tapa y 1,50€ por un pan que ni tocamos y no le pagaban a las ostras ni con cola. En fin, hemos cometido un error, después de las 1600 reseñas con una estrella, no sé por qué nos hemos sentado aquí. Hemos pagado la novatada. ... Los dueños muy amables explicándome la procedencia de las ostras 🦪 pero mientras tanto te atacan con el precio. No volveremos a ir.

ESTAFA TOTAL!!! 70 euracos por una ración (del tamaño de una tapa) de pulpo chicloso malísimo con más patatas que pulpo, 12 ostras diminutas y un plato de 5 chuletillas de cordero con más grasa que carne acompañadas con unas patatas fritas por llamarles de alguna manera (patatas previamente cocidas y luego fritas). Y para colmar el sablazo, cada clara de gaseosa de 25cl a 3€50!!! Y 3€ la cestita de pan!! Lo que está claro es que es el típico restaurante atrapaturistas que baja del crucero y que NO representa para nada la gastronomía gallega! Lamento no haber leído las miles de reseñas negativas antes de entrar en este local!!

Pésima experiencia en La Espuela (Vigo) Reservamos mesa para 7 personas y nos la dieron dentro, algo normal en agosto a las 14:30 en Vigo. Hasta ahí, todo bien. Sin embargo, al entrar, el jefe gritó de malas maneras a un camarero con un “menos cafés y más centollos”. Nos colocaron en una mesa de paso, incómoda y encajada entre columnas, mientras el resto del interior estaba vacío. Nada más pedir la bebida (7 refrescos), una mujer desde la cocina comenzó a soltar improperios a sus compañeros, todo en un ambiente tenso provocado por el propio jefe desde la barra. Cansados de presenciar ese maltrato y abuso hacia los trabajadores, decidimos irnos. Pagamos 28 € por 7 refrescos en lata, servidos en vasos sin hielo ni rodaja de limón (¡4 € cada uno!). Si van a cobrar caro, al menos deberían ofrecer un servicio correcto y un trato digno, no solo a los clientes, sino también a su propio personal. Experiencia para no repetir.

Comida escasa y de baja calidad, bebida muy cara para lo que es, el restaurante deja mucho que desear, el interior con mal aspecto sin nombrar los baños, que al menos el masculino tenía hasta el grifo del lavabo partido y no se podía utilizar, lo único positivo fue la rapidez en sacar los platos, quizás se debe a que éramos la única mesa en el salón, lo cierto es que salieron rápido. Claramente no lo recomendaría a nadie

Si tienen la oportunidad de no venir, no se la pierdan. Hemos pagado 115,25€ y nos han cobrado el servicio de limón, el servicio de terraza y por una adición de 2 huevos 6€, cuando un cartón de 24 está a 4,65€ La verdad es desastroso que dañen el turismo así, porque por cosas como estas es que uno no regresa.

Sinceramente no coman en este sitio, no lo recomiendo, si pueden buscar otro mejor sitio mejor, vienes con todo el ánimo de comer bien por un buen precio y te vas decepcionado. Pedí 1/2 ración de percebes, me comentaron que era 100 gramos, le dije que si, cuando fui a pagar resulta que 100 gramos era la ración completa, 19.90 euros. Los escalopines en crema era una miseria de plato, comparado para el precio, lo más surrealista es el precio de una lata de coca cola, 5 euros, aparte del pan que son 5 pedazos cortados de media barra de pan y te cobran como si fuesen 2. Yo caí por el engaño del cartel que ponen la promoción de ostras, pero al parecer el mejor restaurante esta en frente de este sitio. NO ENTRAR AQUI, ES TODA UNA ESTAFA.

Absolutamente decepcionante, pedimos pulpo a feira y nos ponen pulpo a la gallega, duro, lleno de partes de cabeza y con patata. Un timo total. Se lo comunicamos y devolvemos, pues aún así nos lo cobra…..como pulpo a feira, sin mostrar el menor gesto en la cara. Vamos, lo que suele identificar a un caradura y ladrón. Pedimos un bogavante de 89,90 €/kg y nos colocan uno de las RIAS gallegas, de 120€/kg justificándolo así en la cuenta. Hasta el pan, 6 rodajas de barra normal nos han puesto sin pedirlo….y nos han cobrado 9€ Lo ofertado en la carta no corresponde a lo realizado en la mesa. Una decepción para la ciudad de Vigo.

UNA VERGÜENZA. Por favor si pasáis y veis la carta, no os sentéis aunque sea atractivo. Los precios son una vergüenza, para empezar un plato de jamón de 10€ era peor que el que te ponen en un bar para desayunar. Luego te ponen los percebes en un plato de café!!! En que cabeza cabe?? 6 percebes por 10€? También hemos pedido media ración de mejillones y era muy pobre. Luego las cervezas 4€. De verdad no os sentéis en este sitio. Además los camareros no se ven muy sueltos y no tienen mucha idea. Han puesto vino en unas copas de agua. Lo dicho, de vergüenza!!!

Hemos cometido el error de no mirar las reseñas, me apetecía caldo gallego, algo que en cualquier lugar de Galicia puedes pedir teniendo garantizado que es bueno, pues no, ERROR!!!, viendo como era,agua salada con virutas de grelos y algún tropezón de patata se nos han quitado las ganas de pedir más.Con lo bien que se come en Galicia,el día anterior comimos en la misma calle en Casa Vella,nada que ver con este otro que decepción 😞 caro,escaso y malo,no lo recomiendo.

Fuimos el 7/12/25 a comer la familia,que eramos 8 personas.Desde el principio,al hacer cola para pedir mesa veíamos que trababan mal a la gente,el señor de la barra que parece el que maneja el bar.Habia bastante cola y como nosotros,la gente pedía una caña o algo para tomar mientras esperabas,y el desde que alguien se acercaba a la barra chillando decía que no que había que sentarse y luego pedir(muchos se fueron a otro lado),pero aún así nos quedamos.Nos dieron mesa y pedimos una parrillada y una paella para 5.la parrillada bien,pero cuando trajeron el arroz,se equivocaron y lo pusieron a la otra mesa,vimos que se pusieron un plato y se dieron cuenta y lo retiraron,nos quedamos pendientes y nos lo pusieron en nuestra mesa nuevamente.Logicamebte lo comunicamos y se pusieron de muy malas formas,los camareros no,solo fue este señor y una señora rubia,con gafas que no hacía sino gritar,incluso nos dijo estos serán de Vecindario(Gran Canaria),que no es ninguna deshonrra para nosotros,pero se ve que para ella si. Logicamente dejamos el arroz y pagamos 222,00€ por la parrillada y el vino. Pedimos la hoja de reclamación y solo hacían gritar y les daba igual.Reclamamos el trato de estas personas,fastidian un día de comida familiar.Les da igual porque la gente no conoce y va como nosotros,pero no es forma de hacerlo,no trataron de dar un solucion,si no de discutir y lo que decían es que la mesa de al lado solo cogió dos gambas de nada,creo que no tienen respeto por nada.Ponemos reclamación el consumo y denuncia.

Pedimos una mariscada para 2 personas de 119,85€ y los productos de baja calidad. Nos contaron 3 € por una ración de pan que no habíamos pedido. Nos comentó el camarero que era por las servilletas. Al jefe le dices que no ha estado bien la comida y no no le importó. Vimos a otro cliente discutir.

Fuimos mi amigo y yo al restaurante para pedir una reserva a las 14:45 h (faltaban 45 minutos, ya que íbamos a despedirnos de un amigo que se marchaba a Pontevedra) y nos sorprendieron pidiéndonos una paga y señal de 20 euros para poder reservar. Alegaron que "en 45 minutos se peta", algo que no vimos reflejado: no había ni una sola mesa ocupada, ni en la terraza ni dentro del local. Jamás me han pedido una paga y señal para comer en un restaurante, y menos con tan poco margen de tiempo y el local completamente vacío. Decidimos ir a otro restaurante en la misma calle (Mercado de A Pedra) y, curiosamente, a las 14:30 seguía con solo una mesa ocupada, mientras los demás restaurantes de la zona estaban casi llenos. Cuando pregunté quién me justificaría el abono de esos 20 euros, no supieron responderme. Una experiencia muy poco profesional. No puedo evitar sentir que intentan aprovecharse del cliente. Una pena, porque el entorno es bueno, pero con esta política pierden clientes.

Ah, how did I make this mistake and fall into such a tourist trap! I had just overcome a serious week-long health issue during my holiday and had only recently been discharged from the hospital, but I didn’t want to leave Vigo without tasting fresh oysters. We were recommended this street and area for them. Around 8 p.m., this was the only place open. To be honest, I was already suspicious of the 'touting' type waiters standing at the door, but I thought if I asked the price of everything beforehand, it would be fine — and I was too exhausted to search for another place. There was a sign showing 12 oysters for €22, but since we had never eaten them before, we didn’t want to order 12 at once. We accepted the offer of 6 oysters for €15 and ordered a glass of Albariño wine each. How expensive could a glass possibly be? After the oysters, we decided to try 'percebes,' another thing we had never eaten before, and accepted the menu price of €9.95 per 100 grams (you can see in the photo how tiny they were). We also ordered one more glass of wine. When we asked for the bill, we were shocked — it came to about €50. First, they had added €2 per person as a service charge, and on top of that, another €2 per person for 'lemon service.' The lemon served with the oysters was literally half a slice of lemon (I have a photo). For 3 glasses of wine, they charged €16.50. In other nearby restaurants, a glass of this wine is about €3–3.50, and a bottle is €16. I wish I had taken a photo of the bill showing the lemon service, but I was so angry I lost my presence of mind. We just asked them to correct the bill and bring it back. What followed was minutes of psychological wear-down tactics; the corrected bill simply never came. In the end, we had to remind them again, and finally paid the receipt you see in the attached picture before leaving. How can a place like this still be open with such low ratings? Don’t the municipal inspectors come, check, and shut it down? For Vigo, this place is a disgrace. If it is still operating today, one cannot help but think there must be some political corruption behind it… And do you know what hurt me the most? I had told the waiter, with all the sincerity of my heart, that I had just been discharged from the hospital and didn’t want to leave Vigo without tasting these flavors...

One of the worst rated restaurants in Vigo, an exceptional 1.3 stars when I visited; it’s certainly not great, but not terrible either. Service is at a casual pace, but the waiters are friendly and had a useful amount of English to supplement my espagnol. They checked orders carefully, and got everything right. The terrible aspect is the price, well above the average for the town - but this is the most touristified street in Vigo. And, of all the terrible dives here, Restaurante la Espuela is the most friendly and authentic feeling, so, if you want to feel the buzz of the street and nibble an oyster: this is a good place to sit. Review the dive, not the state of mass tourism. And if that’s your problem, go somewhere else and you can stop complaining. Ps: Will edit if the oysters turn out to be bad news. They did. The above review was written during the meal The bill I received was for well above the amount expected, even that which could be calculated from the menu. A beer for 7 euros. Oysters, local and non-local each at 6 euros. With just one small plate of totally unseasoned dinosaur claws the bill was 60 euros. Ridiculous. I complained and offered to pay 40, out this down and walked away. A very fat, very angry manager/owner pursued me down the street. Respectfully he limited his assault to a verbal one, as did i, the cat and mouse Vigo tour ended in one very busy public square where one bilingual keeper came to help translate our debating points. Eventually, regretfully, I paid the man his 20 euros rip off tariff. My grace in this was not rewarded as I spent the night and next day shivering and vomiting from an extreme food poisoning only known with shellfish. I was only stopped from graffitiing ‘oyster thief’ on the door by being 20 miles offshore when I finally recovered. What a crappy tourist trap.

I write this review from the commode, which is where I have spent a significant amount of time since visiting this establishment. Visiting the famous Oyster Street of Vigo I felt you can't go far wrong in where you choose to eat. You can. The oysters did not look, smell or taste good, so I only have myself to blame for tucking away 4 of them. I just keep telling myself, I could have walked away. I feel like that one idiot in a horror movie who runs upstairs to hide, and you scream at the TV to just get out of the house. I wish someone had screamed at me to get out. At the moment of writing this I am racked with regret. I would only recommend this restaurant to bodybuilders who have just done a big winter bulk, because the cutting phase will be swift and effective after eating oysters from here. But to be honest, it's still too expensive to visit. So I think it would be preferable to lick a drain pipe than go back and eat here again.

The boards in front of the restaurant show prices for 1/2 portions and at first they seem reasonable. That is until you realize that 1/2 portions are extremely small and only exist for baiting you into the restaurant. The food is fine, but everything is overpriced here.

I don't write reviews, but I felt an obligation to write a review here. We paid 5€ for each beer and each coke We only had drinks since the service was taking a long time, the food didn't look good, the employees weren't friendly, and the prices were high. We believe that was the reason they skyrocketed the prices of the drinks. Almost 35€ for two cokes, two beers, and two wine glasses (of cheap wine). Stay away from this place.
