Opiniones de Common Grounds Waco
This is one of my favorite hang out spots in Waco, along with the Woodway location. I've been coming here for the last 15 years (which feels so weird to say) and enjoying the atmosphere. This place has a classic coffee shop vibe with the cushy couches, cafe tables, and good tunes. The coffee is great... my favorite being the No Bull. This is the perfect spot to read, study, meet a friend, or whatever. There are tourist groups during the day (mostly from the Waco tours buses), but it's a very chill place, especially in the evenings. Teeny tiny cons: Parking lot is a bit bumpy and tight, but it is what it is. Drive thru is kind of narrow, but I'm glad they have it for when I can't go inside!
This place is so close to campus! It is sooo cozy and the environment is very calm inside. The service was great and the drinks were delicious! Great place to enjoy a quiet place to study or just relax with some friends. This was my first time coming here and I will definitely be back.
Such a cute place with FANTASTIC coffee and the literal BEST coffee shop breakfast burrito I've ever had. Couches, big windows, live music venue, so vibey! Only thing is there is NO parking😭 I'm not sure how customers are expected to park their cars :/
Common Grounds serves more than just your morning pick-me-up! On a Friday morning on my way to work, I stopped by the Common Grounds location on Franklin to try their new Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew (spoiler, it was DELICIOUS!) when my car broke down in the middle of the drive-thru lane. I was already anxious because of the situation, but the realization hit that I was also blocking my fellow coffee enthusiasts behind me from getting their coffee. The sweet woman at the window, who did not have to do anything more than give me my coffee, came outside and tried to help me push my car. Realizing we are two petite women who have no business pushing a dead-weight vehicle out of a pothole, I called the tow company. In the meantime, this sweet woman stayed with me and offered help and advice to try and revive my car while we waited. She kindly asked the people behind to either go inside for their order or pull around us. I've lived in Waco for 5 years and I'm continuously amazed at the kindness of the people who call this community home. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Common Grounds for showing pure kindness and humanity for your customers that surpasses a cup of coffee on a Friday morning.
This coffee shop is a gem! The coffee is excellent, with a rich selection of brews and blends. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, combining vintage charm with modern style. The large outdoor patio is a standout—perfect for enjoying your drink in a relaxed, open-air setting. A great spot to unwind or get some work done!
Cute little coffee shop. Lots of quiet places to work or do school. Outdoor area is cool with lots of seating also. I got an iced latte "caramel coffee crunch" with oat milk and it was good. Their signature sauce flavor is nice and not too sweet! Next time I'll take my purse with me to get my order so I can grab a bottle for $10.
The staff is very try friendly and very helpful. Very nice and pleasant to deal with. The Mocha is literally best I’ve ever had in my life. For someone who like their coffee to have a kick the large has 4 shots of expresso in it which is right up my alley. I would recommend this for anyone. It is a nice little coffee shop. They also have a drive through as well. There is a nice back area with stage for music.
Came here early morning during spring break and many customers (Baylor students I guess) were there. Got cold brew and a drip coffee ("cast iron blend") and also banana bread and lemon blueberry bread (had wanted tacos but they were not available). Liked both the drinks and the bread (loaf cake). Noticed the lable on the bread said "Heritage Creamery", which is the ice cream shop next door, and wish we had had a chance to go there too. Atmosphere was welcoming and pleasant; where we sat, furniture and deco gave a cozy hunting-lodge sort of feel, though alltogether it was as if the space was a house and not a cafe. The staffers were helpful and friendly.
Common Grounds in Waco has been an integral part of my Baylor experience, offering not just a cup of coffee, but a warm, cozy, and personable atmosphere that's both fun and inviting. As a beloved local spot next to the Baylor Campus, it's the smaller yet equally charming counterpart to the other Common Grounds locations. What makes this place truly special is its unique vibe that combines a comfortable setting with an eclectic touch. Whether it's meeting friends or taking a short walk off campus for a top-notch coffee, Common Grounds never disappoints with its quality and friendly environment. An interesting aspect of this coffee shop is its history with the local community. It's a longtime favorite among locals and students alike, known for its great coffee and relaxed setting. This place isn't just a coffee shop; it's one of Waco's most popular intimate concert venues, adding a lively dimension to its already vibrant atmosphere. They even have an association with one of the Season 2 renovated houses from a famous TV show, where the episode featured Chip eating a cockroach - but rest assured, that's not part of the coffee shop experience! Moreover, Common Grounds stands out with its cowboy-themed drinks, like the 'No Bull,' made with their renowned sweet and caffeinated Secret Sauce. It's this combination of great drinks, addictive atmosphere, and the joy of live music that makes Common Grounds a go-to spot not just for Baylor students but for anyone seeking a quality coffee experience in Waco. Every visit to Common Grounds has been memorable, making it an indispensable part of my time at Baylor. It's more than just a coffee shop; it's a hub of campus life, a place where conversations flow as smoothly as the coffee.
Common Ground in Waco, Texas, is a true gem that seamlessly blends vintage charm with modern flair. Upon stepping inside, you're enveloped in an inviting atmosphere buzzing with activity, where mismatched vintage furniture and local artwork create an eclectic ambiance. Their coffee selection is nothing short of magic, with baristas who craft each cup with precision and passion, featuring a diverse range of locally and internationally sourced beans. Known for their creative flair. Common Ground's community spirit is palpable; the welcoming staff fosters connections. Their service, driven by a genuine love for coffee, sets the bar high. In a nutshell, Common Ground is a cultural haven where exceptional coffee, and art offering an unforgettable experience in the heart of Waco, Texas.
Great local spot! This was my first time in Waco and I heard from several people I needed to check this place out, and I’m very glad I did. STAFF & DRINK: The baristas were kind and made good recommendations. I got the No Bull iced with their secret sauce (caramel-chocolatey type); they have the small pellet ice. ATMOSPHERE: Very eclectic style with lots of unique decorations. Seems like a great place to read & people watch. Had some power strips around if you’re wanting to get work done. Lots of indoor and outdoor options for seating, cute place for a coffee date. Outdoor also has a stage for live music BATHROOMS: Outside and look sketchy at first, but are air conditioned and have a changing table (at least the women’s). PARKING: A couple spots on street out front, an open lot in the back. They also have a drive thru
Awesome little coffee shop. It sets a new standard for how a coffee shop should look and feel as soon as you walk through the door. Plenty of seating inside and out. Also patio seating on the side and rear of building. Very welcoming staff etc. I can highly recommend you try this place.
Wow, what a great spot right next to Baylor. All I can say is if I were back in college, I would have lived there. Staff was friendly and they do a nice cup of coffee. My only complaint is that my cappuccino was quite a bit too hot by about 20 degrees. It took 15 minutes to get it where it should. Other than that - great job. That would never hold me back from returning or referring.
NO BULL! LITERALLY! This review probably won't matter since they really cater to the needs of baylor students, but here is my take. They are easily one of my favorite coffee places of all time. If you like Starbucks, maybe this place is not for you. They have one the best Ethiopian blend, and combined with their secret sauce, it's just magnificent. It was smooth, just right amount of sweet and creaminess, and right amount of nutty. Probably will go to this place on a daily basis if I live in Waco. They have a cozy place too, and occasionally, live music. Yea, very nice!
Super funky coffee shot near the campus. We first saw it on Fixer Upper and wanted to visit while in Waco. It didn't disappoint. It looks like they have live music on the outdoor stage at night. The coffee was great and pastries were tasty. Everyone was very friendly. I will visit again next time I'm in town, for sure.

DELICIOUS and amazing spot. I loved the decoration and ambiance it had. Like a vintage and thrift style. The peach Arnold Palmer was my favorite drink
Great service! The Barista, Aubrie, was very informative and friendly. She made great recommendations to our group. \n\nEveryone loved the secret sauce. \n\nStop by and enjoy yourself.
The secret sauce cold foam is elite. The Alfredo is a great alternative to a regular latte if you like to taste the espresso stronger.
Absolutely love Common Grounds. The No Bull is a must try and their secret sauce is heavenly!! \nIncredible atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating. Great service!!

So quaint and rustic and lots of outdoor seating. The hot chocolate was just ordinary but I loved the ambiance of the old interior. Really cozy
Was meeting friends as my kids were attending Baylor Orientation. Had a great version of an Arnold Palmer and wife had a good iced coffee. Great staff amd prices! Loved that it felt like a house.

Common Grounds Waco is a pretty cool spot to hangout! The service was great and the atmosphere was fun with plenty of places to sit and study. The coffee and tea on the other hand was not so good. The coffee syrups are too sweet. All you can taste is the sugar and no coffee. The coffee was watered down quite a bit with the type of ice they use. Overall 3 stars because it’s a great place to study.
