Wow what a place. Loved the seating and the ambiance. Food was excellent and the host was very friendly and generous towards me, the tired traveler who didn’t know what they wanted to eat or drink 😂. I ordered the chicken sandwich with truffle fries with a ginger beer. The sandwich was awesome and the fries were delicious. Modest order but was served fresh and with care.

This spot offers a huge selection of delicious food and creative signature drinks as part of their happy hour (4-6). Both the raw and roasted oysters were absolute standouts—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The bread & spreads platter, was delish and came with house-made sourdough and vibrant dips. Our server, Betty, was fantastic—attentive, helpful, and perfectly tuned into just how much conversation we wanted. Her friendly energy made the experience even better. And here’s a bonus: they’re canine-friendly! You can bring your pup along to happy hour, which makes this place a rare find for dog lovers.

Kelvin (the bartender) was amazinggggg! He truly made the experience perfect for us. Great food and drink recommendations, exceptional service. He’s very attentive and personable. You HAVE to ask for Calvin when you come here! Highly recommended.

This place is one of our favorites in DC (if not THE favorite). While pricey (so special occasions only), every single dish is beyond exquisite and it is clear that the chef treats his craft as a passionate art form (and he is a master at it). So many of the items on the menu seem simple by name, but are innovative, intricate, and surprising when they arrive at your table. The food is to die for, the staff attentive and friendly, the environment comfortable, and the whole experience from start to end is a amazing time out. If you're willing to ignore the right hand side of the menu for a night, this place cannot be missed!

Saw this restaurant on TikTok actually and am so glad I followed the recommendation! The food and service were fantastic. I’ve been in the DMV for 6 years and I can still count on my hands the restaurants I would return to again, and Michele’s made the cut! Our server Betty was amazing! Made sure we were taken care of, and just outstanding hospitality overall. A pleasure! The standouts were the beef tartare and the potato truffle tarte … WOW. Tasted like It was on phyllo dough with decadent cheese and light buttery toppings. Would come back just for that. Also the bartender who created the Smokey Epilogue came to our table to talk about the cocktails. So awesome. Overall an amazing experience and will definitely be returning!

We dined here during Restaurant Week and it was surprisingly good! We'd previously dined in a different restaurant in that space and it had been pretty unimpressive. This dinner reminded me of eating in New Orleans. Not many vegetarian options that I'd go back a lot, but enough for an occasional meal. Everything was very good, even the salad! Service was very good, but didn't know everything about the menu. I think that's common with Restaurant Week menus. One nice thing is that we could mix the prix fixe Restaurant Week and a la carte menu items. We ordered the Restaurant Week items for one and several assorted items for the other, then shared them all. We especially enjoyed the celery and date salad, the tarte flambée, and the artichoke velouté, but everything was delicious. As befits a New Orleans style venue, we had a Sazerac and a tropical cocktail. We also had orange skin-contact wine from Greece. All in all, this was a great dining experience that we probably wouldn't have had except for Restaurant Week. We just don't go to that area too often to eat.

We loved our time at Michele’s. From the moment we walked in, to our dining experience and departure — the staff was friendly and attentive. And when it came to the food, every dish was amazing! Having enjoyed our amuse bouche and starter, we were hooked. We wanted to order every item on the menu which, of course gives us a reason to return. The place also has a very nice vibe. The interior is contemporary, stylish, and inviting. Thanks to the chef and the entire staff at Michele’s for a wonderful experience.

A nice lounge dining space with some if the best truffle fries and exotic sounding appetizers for happy hour. Came here for a group gathering and they were able to put away our coats and work bags for us and accommodating for the many people as they entered. The foods were lovely and so were the staff. Try it!!

I recently dined at here and I absolutely loved the atmosphere. It was very chill and demure, creating a relaxing vibe. The service was friendly and kind, making the experience even more enjoyable. I also loved the drinks, especially the variety of cocktails they offered. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely go there again with my boyfriend.

This is an incredible restaurant at the Eaton Hotel. An extensive and varied wine list, amazing cocktails. The raw bar is excellent. Service is top notch. Requires proof of vaccination to dine in, which is a huge plus. Try the midas touch, almost everyone in our party ended up ordering one. Absolutely love the decor as well. Just a stupendous experience.

Michele’s is by far one of the best restaurants I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining at. A few months ago, my fiancé and I went there for an engagement celebration and the food was divine. Tonight, we dined for a birthday dinner and they went above and beyond. We were able to try drinks they were testing for their summer cocktail menu, had complimentary dessert and the service was astounding. Ashley at the bar, Rachel the executive sous chef and Brian our waiter were amazing! This will always be my go to place and will always recommend to everyone to eat here.

What a delicious meal! Really loved the NY strip! Perfectly done! And the service was exceptional.

Great casual dinner, with a diverse menu that will sort a group with different tastes and dietary preferences. Reservations recommended, but you could probably walk in and sit at the bar if you are in a group of 2 very easily. Top picks for our table: Truffle & Gruyère Tarte Flambé, Duck Confit, Mushroom Risotto, Frise and Bacon Lardon Salad. Restaurant is also beautiful. Street parking can be challenging but there are parking garages in the vicinity.

Kelvin & David, keep me coming back! The customer service, the mixologist skills, the personality, the everything gives customer service levels of Chic Fil A and Apple! The food, they ensure it comes out timely and hot, and the knowledge behind the drinks is so impactful. If I could give 10 stars, I would, and I am very particular and customer service means everything to me!

I was visiting DC for the weekend and stayed at the Eaton(best decision) and went to Michele’s for dinner(even better decision) I came during restaurant week so I got one of the 3 course pre-fix options. Lets talk carrots, not really into them but I decided to go for it and am I glad I did... BBQ carrots stole the show, and not because the entrees weren’t incredible thats just how tasty the carrots were. I know, crazy. Crawfish linguini and hamachi crudo were crowd pleasers. But let me tell you about the best espresso martini Ive had in my life. The bartender was so awesome and he remixed the classic drink with mezcal and orange liqueur and I would come back to DC just to have another.

So my wife and I JUST left Michele's and I wanted to put this review up before I forgot. Food and drinks were great! Service was great. We had Kestor and he was awesome. I got the crawfish linguine and my wife got the lobster tail. So much flavor! Go!

Great pop up lunch and interesting wines by the glass. The menu is limited but delicious. Staff was great and I love the inside outside seating option. We brought our pup and they were great about him hanging with us for the meal. It is hard to tell what days they are serving lunch since the website does not list the lunch menu or hours.

I was lucky enough to get the last fish of the day. Ordered the Fried Whole Fish- The chef did his thing with my meal, and my wife had the Mushroom Cavatelli- basically the only vegan I we saw on the menu.

I've come here a few times now, and always had a great experience. The "Frenchie" burger at their monday burger nights is insanely good. SO juicy. The fries are so light and crispy. As soon as you enter the doors, the manager, Marcus, is very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is great too - perfect amount of lighting. Don't hesitate to ask the staff for recommendations. :)

The chicken with the salad was delicious, the restaurant itself it’s gorgeous. The furniture is a retro style. My only issue was the service was a bit slow.

Great dining option with a variety of cocktails and French inspired cousine. Lobster salad and tuna carpaccio are just wonderful. Interesting dessert options.

I wish I could give Michele's more than 5 stars. The decor is beautiful, the service is A++, and the food and drinks are phenomenal. Our waiter gave great recommendations and made our experience feel special. I recommend coming to Michele's whether or not you're staying at the Eaton.

This was the most fantastic dining experience I’ve had in DC in a long time. The “I’ve Got The Power” is incredible. The whole fried fish is delicious and served beautifully.

I had an amazing experience with a few of my best friends here tonight! Kelvin really wowed us as a bartender and my friends are all bar people. We all ordered off-menu and were very happy with the drinks. Also heard there is a new speakeasy opening in the back soon, can’t wait for that!

One of my favorite spots in DC, with one of the most delicious happy hour offerings. Many DC spots claim to have a happy hour and end up serving you watered down drinks and cheap bites. Not Michele's. With their charming staff, delicious food, and excellent cocktails, Michele's put's "happy" in happy hour. 😎

Awesome experience at Michele’s. David was a fantastic bartender. Gave tons of great options on different drinks and foods and provided valuable insight for each choice. Have already sent friends and family to this restaurant and can’t wait to go back!

I consistently go to Michele's for lunch, dinner, and drinks and the food is always delicious and cocktails are very creative. Their cheeseburger is my favorite in the city and don't miss out on the French Onion Soup. They also have an amazing wine list with extensive pricing options, no matter the occasion. Lastly, their team is always polite and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved Michele’s. Great location, food was good - loved the cauliflower! The service was incredible. David made the best drinks and was so accommodating. He created specialty mocktails for me and made me feel part of the party! Victor was an excellent server and host. Also, Kelvin was so warm and welcoming at the bar. Highly recommend!

The restaurant is really quiet for lunch so we had a great experience. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed just sitting by the window in cold weather.

Thoroughly enjoyed the beef bourguignon at Michele's. Popped in here for take out to eat in my hotel, which was adjacent to the restaurant. The host, Mauricio, recommended the dish to me and I loved every bite. Both food and service were excellent.

We stopped by Michele’s for dinner with my sister and had a fantastic experience. I asked for a customized cocktail, and David took the time to understand the flavor profile I wanted and delivered an outstanding drink & my sister also enjoyed a very well-crafted mocktail. Victor, was very kind and knowledgeable, adding to the warm atmosphere. The food was excellent, the French onion soup was beautifully balanced and to top it all off, Chef Ryan stopped by to check on a few tables which was a really nice and personal touch. Amazing service all around!

We had a small party at Michele's and the management was super responsive and helpful making it the PERFECT event. Then, at the last minute, a large good of us decided we wanted dinner and the staff made big adjustments to accommodate us, on a busy Friday night. Pablo was our server and he was excellent. The food was great too. This was a 1st but definitely not last visit to this welcoming and wonderful space.

Amazing experience from start to finish! The restaurant was very accommodating, and manager David truly went above and beyond to make me feel like a VIP. He personally made sure everything was perfect, which made the whole experience feel special and welcoming. The service was excellent, attentive, and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. You can really tell they care about their guests. I highly recommend coming here.

Chic lounge decor, attentive service, and up and down food offerings. I stopped by here for dinner before a show and happily chose a nice window seat in the lounge (vs dining room). Loved the vantage point looking out at the rest of the lounge. I had the prix fixe and it was good if not great, but did seem to progressively get better course by course. As a complimentary starter, they brought a little serving of soup I never caught the name of but it was amazing. Their complimentary sour dough with a creamy spread and house jam was indulgent too. My first course was a crispy quail with tasso dirty rice, celery root slaw, and apple mustard puree. Great concept, poor execution. Nothing on the plate was memorable. Second course was their more notable crawfish linguine with crab nage, lobster butter, brandy and tarragon. This was better but still short of the mark. Given the ingredients, I expected a stupendous flavor and only got good. Lovely presentation though. Last course was divine. Their chocolate bread pudding with bits of coconut, chocolate anglaise, chocolate-coconut ice cream was otherworldly. Every bite was just an atomic explosion of dense, rich flavor. I would go back for just this. Cocktails recommended by the host / waiter were excellent, they do a nice smoker version of a Boulevardier and the other cocktail pictured was off menu but superb.

Came for happy hour and loved the vibe! They have two cocktails on the happy hour menu, island time which was a mule, and flower power. Both were really good and well made. We also shared the bread and spreads for a small snack. It comes with two dips. One was labne and I believe the other was baba ghanoush. The manager came to our table to let us know they were short staffed and apologized for any slower wait times, but we felt that we were getting checked on pretty frequently. Overall a great happy hour spot and fun vibe!

This nice restaurant is in the same building as the Eaton Hotel. I had dinner - happy hour is 3 - 6 pm. Wide selection of cocktails and drinks. I had the chicken sandwich - good. Very attentive and friendly service. Recommended!

Patrick is a great manager. There was a small dispute at the end of the night that he resolved well with grace and professionalism. The steak frites were good, just wish the portions were a bit bigger in general. Staff was friendly.

Visited for an early Friday night dinner. We were quickly seated in the front dining area. The service was prompt and courteous. The menu is not expansive but has several interesting options. We tried the crawfish linguine and Moroccan lamb burger. The portion of the pasta dish was surprisingly petite but the Moroccan lamb burger was a healthy size with a big portion of French fries (which were delicious). The burger itself sat on bun that was soggy and hard to pick up with my hands so I used utensils to eat it. The non alcoholic cocktails were delicious and flavorful (the razzle dazzle is on the more sweeter side). Overall the dining experience was good. $$ There is paid street parking nearby

This review is solely focused on an event hosted at this restaurant, does not apply to regular dinning experience. ⚠️ Had a great lunch time at Michele’s , got to taste some delicious and refreshing light meals and connect with other elites. Following are my honest feedback: Atmosphere: vibrant, inviting, modern. General Service: friendly and attentive. Taste of the food: burger-juicy and flavorful; cherry tomatoes panzanella-refreshing, a good summer dish; corn zucchini salad-a bit too salty & other than salt I didn’t taste much of other seasonings; bread and spread-the combo is a bit too blend; shrimp- didn’t get to try at all; cocktails offered-too heavy on syrup/sugar mix, it’s definitely not something I would order on a hot summer day. Service of the food: quantity was not enough, nor placed strategically . Many elites didn’t get to try all of the food. Parking: mainly street parking & cross your fingers there is no NO parking notice on the trees. Restrooms: inside the hotel, gender neutral + mix.

Ok, the food was good, my fries and chicken wings were both really good. The service, not so much. Took forever to get seated, then get attended, then the food came out all at different times and some dishes came split, like fries came later than the hamburger. Lots of potential, but it's current 3.9 is deserved.

Great spot!! Loved the access & cool vibes! Stopped by for a desert & enjoyed! The pop pear tart had elements of "deliciousnes" for sure... the pastry part could have been warmer! The lemon sorbet was out of this world! Yummm! The rocky road brownie desert was good also. The inter pretation of the chocolate was not the usual... it was delightful & delish! 👏🏾 👏🏾 Our server was excellent & ambiance... cool/chic/casual! ❤️ Highly recommend!

Your eyes will be amused, not so much your tongue. Don’t order raws if you know how raws should actually taste like. Worst tuna tartare in my life. Hot dish comes out late despite having less than five tables. Super friendly and experienced staffs with well organized interior keeps the place occupied.

K

Underwhelming. I anticipated going to a Michelin-rated restaurant and was excited to participate in Restaurant Week. I ordered the beef (or maybe it was tuna) tartare, salmon and mousse. The only item that had any flavor was the blueberry sauce on the salmon. NOTHING had a lot of flavor or taste. Everything was bland and seemed to be low-effort. The dessert was a thin layer of mousse with items sprinkled on top. Maybe restaurant week played a part, but I was sorely disappointed.

C
Christina Parson

Very disappointing 3-course restaurant week Prix fixe. Appetizer of roasted oysters was good, entrée of cod was undercooked and completely lacked seasoning, dessert of coconut rice pudding was inedibly salty. Service and cocktails were nice. Really wish I hadn’t spent so much money on a meal I didn’t enjoy.

They charge a 20% gratuity for take-out. Food was mid. Service was great and accommodating, as we ended up doing sit-down once the waiter told us about the take-out gratuity.

B

Long story short: the meat tastes weird! Okay so we came in from out of town, and ate here around 7 p.m. the atmosphere is weird, like the staff are just wondering "why are you eating here?" The waitress was completely clueless, we ordered apps while we waited for friends to arrive and then ordered entrees about 20 mins later. Only AFTER we ordered entrees did she mention there was a kids menu, but whatever. I had the steak frites and our friend got the Michele Double Cheese burger. The steak was flavorless but the cheese burger was straight odd. We all tried it and even asked the waitress about the flavor, and ground beef mix. Idk how to describe it other than just weird and full of gristle. We also ordered a French onion soup, completely inedible, it was just way too salty. At least the fries were good 🤷🏻‍♂️

Avoid going to this place. Overpriced! Overpriced! Taste? Meh not for the price. I ordered to go the Chicken Paillard and Potato And Black Truffle Tarte Flambee which were soo small. Smaller than a piece of bread. Paid close to $58 for those 2 things. The truffle tarts was just salty and the puff pastry was nothing than something you get at the store and you just grow things on top. If you like to spend money and you are on a strict diet this is the place for you. ** the picture is how it was served without eating anything yet. FYI

Real Love

The service here is laughably bad. I should’ve taken heed to all the bad reviews I saw before even going in—especially with the amount of people saying how bad the food was. But I figured “oh, well, they won’t mess up fries and a salad”. But as luck would have it, they did just that. On top of taking FOREVER to be greeted and given a menu, I put in a simple order, salad with salmon and truffle fries. Nearly an hour later (not even sure why it took so long when the place was deader than a cemetery), they brought my food out in a bag and it was the wrong order. I never even asked for my food to go and then on top of that, you get the order wrong after I have waited patiently for an hour. There was no apology, no accountability. I just got frustrated and left. What a joke! It makes me look at the professionalism of the hotel as a whole—especially with Baker’s Daughter selling moldy yogurt parfait with fruit. Just a shame.
